The hag can probably tell if we lie

YaHomieScooty

I say tell the truth. What’s the worst that could happen 🗿

Jo

Okay John this is your chance to go "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM" and ask to speak to the manager!!

Heather Bruce

Seriously, don't lie to the hag. *She'll know!* We're fucked anyway, let's at least try to seem useful until we get Arthur up again.

Layali

I want to see how John would introduce himself, as what, and in what way. Didn't he say he was lost? Let's see how lost, and where he's at right now.

jakob overgaard

I honestly don't see anything to gain by lying. Whereas telling the truth MIGHT be beneficial.

Gareth Bradshaw

Either the hag can tell if we lie or Yorick is going to out us, best to be upfront about who we are

Aebriel

I don't believe Booth John was trying to trick us when he said that telling the truth would include claiming to be part of the King in Yellow.

Aebriel

Currently I'm more curious about what sort of a lie John might tell.

Layali

☺️☺️ guilty as charged. But everyone here's as guilty as me haha

Layali

What is his version of the 'truth' at this point? This is a good chance to see John from a new angle. I feel like individuals have as many sides as they have relationships, so this is our chance seeing John interact with someone new, who demands honesty, and has the power to enact consequences, without Arthur's presence or gaze influencing things.

SoapCarver

I'm mostly interested in Yorick's reaction. It could be a good test of his loyalties- that, if John lies about his identity, will Yorick call him out in order to get in the Hag's good graces? Or will he collaborate John's lie?

Positive

Truth - she already knows they're from a different time, Yorick could snitch if John lied ("Prince, is the voice telling the truth?"), she could get pissed if lied to, and we have Arty's life on the line so we can't afford to mess around. Also, I'm DEEPLY curious to see what exactly JOHN considers the truth/lie in this situation - from a character development/analysis point of view.

Positive

My thinking exactly! Can't wait to see what our choice will tell us about him.

Layali

I’m starting to wonder if Yorrick is more ‘loyal’/beholden to Arthur than he is to his ‘king’, John. Also now very glad we didn’t choose Prince as his title! He’s already this indulgent with the Hag every time she calls him Prince and asks him something, if that was his proper new name I think we would’ve been thoroughly screwed!

Red

Truth! *Slams the button* Either way, though, I believe in John. You got this 👍

Laura A Moore

It was mentioned in the discord’s poll discussion chat that John’s side of the discussion with Yorick could have been about how much to tell the Hag when she still couldn’t hear him. I’m interested in what plan John is cooking up, and I feel like giving him the freedom to lie could assist in that. Also, we’ve seen people in this story take advantage of gods before, and i don’t want the hag to see John as a fragment and think of him as weak. The less she knows of his weaknesses, the better.

Thomas Hegarty

I feel like if we tell the truth we can weaken her trust in Yorick. He claimed we were lying. Our best bet is to drive a wedge and build our own power

Nicky

Yeah he answers questions, but that’s what he does. He also seems to be following John’s instructions (the aside about “did what you asked”; cutting himself of and apologizing after starting to talk about Kayne). Additionally, there was a huge pause between her question about whether John lies *to him* and I specifically relistened to the earlier parts and at no point did John lie *to* the vanguard/Yorick. The tone of his voice with the yes and that John was talking about strategy when the hag’s spell made his voice audible indicates to me that John is not distrustful or upset with Yorick and how he’s handled the situation so far

Nicky

Yorick seems to be following John’s lead - I don’t think there is any reason or need to weaken the hag’s trust in him

Nicky

I’m seeing a lot of suspicion and distrust of Yorick, but he seems to be following John’s lead and instruction. I made a file with my guess at John’s side of the conversation before we could hear him and linked it back in the chapter comments and am happy to discuss and specifics in more detail. In short, though, I don’t think Yorick’s motives are a concern in this situation / decision

Thaís Petralanda

WE CAN TRUST YORICK AND THUS WE SHOULD LIE! Now that I have your attention, here are my arguments: Back in part 42, Yorick said rather explicitly that he serves Arthur and John, the Dies Irae and that by giving him a mouth to speak he is INDEBTED to them... And then in chapter 211, we can see that Yorick is deliberate with the way he phrases himself... He says that he does not belong to anyone but that is because he is a servant not slave. Also when asked if he is aligned with John, his answer was that he is aligned with "what suits best" and that is pretty much a non-answer to the witch Listening closely to Yorick's words, we can also hear that for the majority of the chapter he is really just talking and coordinating with John and every question he answers the Witch is mostly incidental Finally my last argument is about Booth John, as the unreliable narrator that he is, it really rubs me off the wrong way that he went out to sow distrust of Yorick as the main argument for telling the truth when Yorick so far has not done anything egregious enough to remove our trust in him. I think lie is the best option because it would allow us to test the waters, hold the cards close to our chest and see where we can go from there...

Nicky

I just don’t think a question of Yorick’s trustworthiness / loyalty should be a factor in the decision

Laura A Moore

I agree! I think people are way too easy to trust this situation. I'd rather play smart. If anything, her being able to hear John speak now only means we have a direct line to influence her.

Laura A Moore

I just checked the past few chapters, and John has only spoken to Yorick for a couple chapters. He has never once lied to Yorick, so either Yorick is lying to the hag, or he was responding only to what John was saying.

Laura A Moore

The hag didn't say "Is the voice telling the truth?" She specifically asked, "Does it lie to you, Prince?" I just checked the past few chapters, and John has only spoken to Yorick for a couple chapters. He has never once lied to Yorick, so either Yorick is lying to the hag, or he was responding only to what John was saying.

Laura A Moore

John has never lied to Yorick. If you listen to their interactions in the past, John's only asked Yorick questions or tried to work with him to lead Arthur through the caves.

Laura A Moore

I think she knows that John is Capable of lying, unlike the Vanguard who seems to be able to truthfully answer and follow the instructions of whoever it is in alliance with. I'd bet that she asked that question to Yorick and realized that John is a more complex being that she could have a conversation with, which is why she wanted to establish contact with him.

Lambda

We keep our potential weaknesses close to our chest. It gives us better control of what she knows.

Lambda

I don't think that's as much of the point. She seemed disinterested in John until Yorick told her he could lie, then she got interested. I don't think she'd retaliate or react badly to being lied to, if/when she finds out, I think it'll pique her interest and give us more power in the situation because we can figure out what she actually wants and what we can offer her.

Thomas Hegarty

I was thinking that Yorick was saying that John was lying when we couldn’t hear John. John has insisted since day one that we cannot trust Yorick. So I’m inclined to believe John that Yorick is not to be relied upon intrinsically

Laura A Moore

When Maggie asked Yorick if John lies to him, Yorick said "Yes." Just plainly "Yes." But listen to the previous chapters and John has never once lied to Yorick. Either John told Yorick to tell her Yes, or Yorick was responding directly to John. I don't believe he's betrayed us. I think we should let John lie, it will give him more freedom to choose when to decide to tell the truth.

Laura A Moore

Okay, I'm commenting again. My first points still stand, and I also wanted to say another thing. I know a lot of people want to tell the truth because they think Yorick has betrayed John and Arthur, and if John starts telling lies then he'll tell Maggie. But John has only talked to Yorick since the tooth was put in the Prince's head. So far, John has only been asking him questions or working with him to direct Arthur through the tunnels. John doesn't *trust* Yorick, but he also has never had a reason to lie to him. When the Hag asks if Yorick aligns with John, it sounds like he's going to answer her truthfully, but was stopped by John. Perhaps even asking him to keep his answers vague for now. Which is why you hear him go, "I....I align myself with what suits best." And when the hag begins to hear John's voice, it sounds like he's coming up with a plan to get them free from the caves. He's caught off guard, but he's cookin, I want to let him cook. THAT BEING SAID: This is why we should vote to lie. Harlan has said that this season is going to be more like Season 2 in the Dreamlands, and John had been reasonably cautious with the encounters there. Booth John has reminded us that we aren't in New York anymore. We have no allies or anyone who understands the context that Arthur and John come from, and we need to be tactful here. If we have John tell the truth, that exposes him as a fragment to the hag, and who knows what she would do if she finds out that he's weakened. We've seen various cults across the story take advantage of gods and use them for their power, which is to say that I don't want to trust this witch with information that could be used against Arthur and John. I think we should work with what John is trying to do and let him keep information vague until we're more sure on if we trust Maggie to help Arthur.

Sam

I initially wanted truth but I’ve been swayed by the options here and also that the majority has been voting for the wrong option so far. LIE LIE LIE LIE LIE LIE

Lambda

I'm going to expand on my reasons for lying. First, to address the two primary concerns I've seen about lying: 1. Yorick is most likely more trustworthy than we may think. The hag specifically asked Yorick if John lies *to him*, and after a significant pause that is atypical of Yorick's answers, he emphatically says "Yes". This is either an outright lie on Yorick's part, or he was encouraged or instructed to repeat this, as for the short duration that John and Yorick have been able to converse with each other, John has never lied to him. 2. In the event that the hag finds out we're lying anyway, I don't think she'd react negatively to that. When Yorick tells her that he is talking to a voice within the man at her feet, the hag seems disinterested, almost. Her response is more of "oh, neat." She does not immediately ask what John is, but instead, asks, "does he lie to you, my Prince?" Yorick answers as already detailed. When she gets this answer, suddenly the hag's interest is piqued. She launches into whatever spellcasting she does to hear John and converse with him. This would indicate to me that she is almost *excited* by the idea of talking to a supernatural entity that can lie, and so if she catches us in the lie, I don't think she'd "punish" that. Now to address, what do we actually gain by lying: 1. We keep more information close to our chest. Season 4 gave us a lot of lessons on learning to trust people, but we aren't dealing with normal people right now. We are dealing with a creature that is likely bound by some kind of rules who currently only wants Arthur's body from us to use as an incubator. Revealing that we are the King, or a piece of him, can also reveal some of our weaknesses in this situation, ones that John may not even be aware of. 2. In line with keeping more information close to our chest, I think we have reason to believe that John has an opportunity to use the questioning tactics Arthur taught him in Season 4. John opened with the truth, that he is searching for the Blackstone, because I think that is where he wants to direct the conversation to see if there is anything this hag knows about it. This could help orient us in the current time period or give us information that was previously inaccessible. And even if it doesn't, if we lay the whole truth, everything we have to possibly offer at the start of this conversation, then we give her no incentive to give us what we want in exchange. Ultimately, I think even if we lie, the hag is most likely to find out. But what we can gain from that is we can glean more of what her actual interest in us is: does she reveal that she is wanting true information from us, or does she reveal her interest more lies in us as an individual? Her follow up questions or response clues us in to what it is that we could offer her to get ourselves out of here and get Arthur to a safe place. John doesn't have much to offer here beyond what information he knows and a silver tongue to get us out. I don't think we can bank on projection as a way to deal with her if things go South, and we need to play cautiously until we know what it is we can use as leverage against her. Because in the end, our goal is to deprive her of a new incubator, and she's already short one.

Tony! Toni! Toné!

The lies are making a good point, but I feel if John tells the truth the witch may already know who the king in yellow is and revere him as a god instead of an intruder. I'm so torn.

Laura A Moore

We don't know that Maggie is a follower or a believer in the Great Old Ones. She might treat John with the respect of a god, or she might see an opportunity to use his power for her own ends. We need to figure out what she has in mind to do with John and Arthur before laying all our cards on the table.

Lambda

Another point: I don't think that telling the truth or lying is inherently going to fuck up whatever plan John has in mind. By virtue of being a poll, both options have probably occurred to him. What will change, I think, is how the hag reacts. I want her to react with more interest in us - not for what potential weaknesses she can exploit, but for what we might offer her. I want her to reveal what she wants from us without putting ourselves out there on a vulnerability. Larson was way less scary than her, and look at how he was able to take advantage of Yellow! (thank you Bree for making that connection.)

Tony! Toni! Toné!

Very true, that's what I was thinking. Knowing what John is really could go either way. Either she would want to keep them and try and utilize his power in some way or she would be ok letting them go knowing if she doesn't she's standing in the way of a great old one. I do feel like she must know of the great old ones though. Her powers must come from one of them, or she worships one or more of them. Through description she doesn't seem to be a creature of another world, but still a human. So in order to gain her powers she must be on the side of some dark force.

Fisher

Some have been assuming that Yorick has sold John out here. I think this is false. If you listen back to the chapter you’ll notice a pretty prominent pause before Yorick answers “yes” to the hag asking if the voice lies to him. She didn’t ask if the voice lies, she asked YORICK if it lied to HIM. Obviously the answer to this is no. John has never lied directly to Yorick, so Yorick saying yes here doesn’t make sense. If that’s the case then we must ask WHY did Yorick say yes? I think there’s two options here: 1. John TOLD Yorick to say yes. Evidence for this isn’t super clear but I think it’s definitely possible. Yorick has been listening to what John’s been telling him - he shut up about Kayne when John presumably told him to, he’s making a valiant attempt at answering John’s questions here while also conversing with the witch. In the last episode he specifically said that he serves John and Arthur, the Dies Irae, and I doubt that this has changed. With this, we could infer that for some reason, John wants the hag to think he’s a liar, possibly setting up an attempt to manipulate her. OR! 2. Yorick isn’t actually talking to the hag at all here when he says “yes.” Before the hag asks him if the voice lies, John is very clearly talking to Yorick and he is replying. What the discussion seems to be, given Yorick bringing up something being “too rotten by then,” is the nature of his possession. Nicky in the discord suggested what John asked is something along the lines of “could you even talk like this before?” most likely in frustration after he’d already talked to the hag. The most intriguing part here though is the second half; John seemingly asking Yorick about if he can possess another head, or perhaps even a body. Coupled with Yorick trailing off with “Yes. Whatever…” makes me think that John’s still talking to him then about something. So, MAYBE, John has come up with some kind of plan for Yorick to possess another body, possibly the hag’s or perhaps another somewhere in the room, and THAT is what Yorick is saying yes to.

Laura A Moore

We're still in the discord poll chat, and someone said that Right Now, John has only two things to offer Maggie. Arthur's Body or Knowledge. We can't give away everything we know, because there will be nothing left to bargain with. Arthur's Body is off the table, so we have to be conscious about what knowledge we can barter with. Let's not let him blow it all in one go.

Laura A Moore

But even so, it still stands to truth that John has never once lied to Yorick. He may not *trust* him as far as he can throw him, but John has never lied to Yorick. Even Yorick's loyalty to John and Arthur was questioned, and Yorick answered *Very Hesitatingly* after sounding like he was being interrupted that he "Serves whatever side is best suited." Which sounds vague as hell. I theorize that John interrupted Yorick from answering the hag and told him to not tell her too much yet.

Laura A Moore

We only have our knowledge to bargain with this witch, and if we just give her everything that we know, we have nothing left to bargain with other than Arthur. Arthur is not an option to be bargained with, so we need to be frugal with what information we freely give.

Aebriel

Okay so, maybe this will help people who feel like we don't have enough to go off of for this vote. Sometimes... maybe even *oftentimes*... perhaps even *usually* The best option when presented with these kind of choices ends up being the one that gives the most *freedom* To the characters (and by extension to Harlan narratively) This is why "sneak" aka 'look for Daniel yourself' was the best option in part 35 in the infamous Great Double Flip. (Like, straight from Dani's Mom's mouth. ) Now this is phrased as truth verses lie, but with the added context from BJ it is not quite the same as many previous Tell the Truth verses Lie votes, imo While I often voted to tell the truth in season 4.... we're not in New York anymore where being truthful won us allies. We're dealing with magic and unknown things on par with what they faced in the Dreamlands, but without John even having vague half-remembered knowledge to go off of. We're dealing with a *witch* capable of resurrected the dead, warping her home to trap us, who could just whip up a spell in seconds that allowed her to hear John. She already has Arthur unconscious and at her mercy. All of this is just facts. The part where I'm going out on a bit of a limb here, but still based on what BJ said, is to assume that he was right and that ***We do not want to give her any more power over us.*** Think about what Larson was able to accomplish using Yellow. And Larson was just some fucking cultist. Whether or not this witch will find John's status as a Forgotten One interesting or not, telling her any version of that truth is still giving her power over us. I 100% believe that John is coming up with some sort of plan, and I do not know whether that plan involves the truth or a lie, but I think that regardless we should start vague with what we tell her, and keep our dialogue options open, and lie gives us the best chance to do that.

Nicky

Yorick didn’t even say “side” He said “I align myself with what suits best” No elaboration on what suite who or what best. I think it’s with what suite Deus Irae best, which is Arthur&John and their quest for the Black Stone

Heather Bruce

Do not lie to the hag! She (probably) can't lie (if she's anything like fae hags) and our ability to lie is our bargaining chip. But if we piss her off, she'll just use Arthur's body anyway! I mean, that's what my nightmares say, anyway.

Laura A Moore

I'll beat your nightmares up for you >:O But I'm also seeing in various places that people don't trust John to be able to lie effectively. But we've also seen him only lie to Arthur. Arthur is *very* *extremely* *good* at knowing when people are lying to him. It was his Job to know when people lied to him, and once he was able to understand John, he could tell when he was lying to him pretty consistently. This hag does Not Know John as well as we or Arthur does. I think he has a good chance to get away with lying to her!

Laura A Moore

I believe in John, I think he needs to lie! Lying gives him the freedom to choose what information he can give to Maggie!

Laura A Moore

It's been a few hours since you've commented, and we've had a lot more of the old-timers weigh in on this poll. But I honestly think that lying is our best bet here. Right now we need to bargain for our way out of these caves, and John only has Arthur and the information he knows. Bargaining with Arthur's body is a nonstarter, we absolutely cannot give up more of Arthur's body. If John is truthful to the hag, that means giving away everything we can barter with.

Thomas Hegarty

Hmmm I agree. I wish that the vote wasn’t so Binary. I feel at this point we would be kinda blind to just trust Yorick. On the other hand John as the King in Yellow is a career liar. So we could trust him to lie

SavageIvyy

Originally I was thinking truth but the lying side is making a lot of sense right now. We dont know the witch knows who the King is at all. We have to infer a lot of the conversation between John and Yorick. And initially I was worried about Yorick turning tail and ratting us out but going off of the conversation we heard.....I think trusting John and the Spirit halloween prop have things under control may be the way to go here. We need to give John a chance to get some trust back. I think I'm going to have to say we lie

Nicky

I don’t think whether she has preexisting knowledge of The King In Yellow, or eldritch beings in general, is all that significant to the Truth option

Rook

Don't give strange magical creatures your name. LIE. Remember names have power.

SavageIvyy

True, but it seems our primary motives for the truth would be either convince her were too useful to kill or were too powerful to mess with. You'd want some sort of shock and awe for that to work I'd imagine. Also it seemed John stopped Yorick from talking about Kayne. Whyd he stop him if that's what he's going for? As powerful as the King is, Kayne is infinitely more so. He's a little terrorist even to other Outer Gods and Great Old Ones. Wouldn't it make more sense to let Yorick go on about him?

Nicky

Giving KIY name to her doesn’t necessarily give her power over John/Arthur. It could lead her to percieve them as having power worth her respect and consideration

Laura A Moore

I think keeping information vague is the right way to go. We can’t just give her everything for nothing in this. This is a bargain now, and from where we stand, we can either bargain with Arthur’s body or bargain with the knowledge we have. If John lies and keeps things vague like Booth John was saying, we can hold that over her

Laura A Moore

I think trusting him to lie is a good idea, since that lets John have more of a choice on what he tells the truth about. Plus, Booth John’s wording at the end of the episode gives a bit more context to this. If we tell the truth, that means telling her about the King in Yellow and possibly John’s weakness as a fragment. If we decide to lie, that means keeping things close to our chest and being vague. Which I think will intrigue the witch and want her to keep Arthur alive to figure out John.

Teakettle

I am adamantly in favour of telling the truth. Not because I trust the hag (I really don't) but because I really want John to throw around his weight as the king in yellow. Plus I think we'd be gambling on Yorik not immediately telling on us the first occasion he has.

Jones

I’m glad that the poll isn't one sided, even if im not super convinced by the arguments to lie. The last time people thought John was cooking up a plan was with his deal with Kayne and it turned out he absolutely wasn't planning anything beyond just fulfilling his end of the bargain. Also I doubt John was telling Yorick to lie; Harlan said that he'd be releasing John's half of the conversion on the Shamer tier, and he said that he didn't think it would contain any information that would change people's mind on the vote. John having told Yorick to lie recontextualizes what seems to be happening in the scene, and it'd be weird to have confirmation of that behind a higher paywall than the regular voting tier. I'm thinking this vote may be more about John's identity. Harlan said s5 would be about John figuring out who he wants to be, and him choosing whether to use his background as the King is right along those lines. I think telling the truth will be the best (or at least easiest) way out of the immediate danger, but having John embrace his role as the King in Yellow, even just as a means to an end, will lead to him having to figure out what exactly that means to him now. Personally I like the idea of John being forced to deal with his past as the King. It's likely it would lead to him backsliding as he realizes the power/autonomy it gives him, but I also think it's something he needs to do eventually. Anyway, the potential of prompting John to confront his past, and what exactly that means to him now, is extremely interesting to me, so I'm sticking with Truth

Teakettle

On the contrary I think truth is safer. If we lie we're just a bloke. If we tell the truth we are someone that's on her same level and potentially commends respect /fear/curiosity.

Nicky

I don’t think wanting to keep Kayne out of it is related to whether to embrace or obfuscate John’s identity

Jones

I think the fallout for either vote failing/succeeding is the same: John is forced to protect Arthur by manifesting to help him escape or the hag decides to assist them I just think that the vote to tell the truth has the added spice of John having to confront what being a fragment of the KiY means to him, which makes it much more of a tempting pick to me

Nide

I absolutely think we can't befriend the witch especially by revealing johns identity, but at the same time i think it would be a catastrophic error to lie to her?? So there's no winning but im voting for truth

SavageIvyy

Both sides of the argument are strong for sure. The main reason I'm sticking with lie for now is just to keep that card on our hand a bit longer

Jeanette

So, as we stand, before the hag's domain, We must choose our path, with courage and strain. Do we lie or tell the truth, we shall decide, For in the end, our hearts will abide.   If we lie, we risk her vengeance, a price too steep to pay, But if we tell the truth, we may find a narrow way. The hag's motives unknown, her intentions unclear, Our choice hangs in the balance, filled with doubt and fear. With trembling hands and hearts filled with dread, We must make a decision, for destiny to be led. Will we succumb to lies, or stand firm in the light? The choice we make will shape Arthur's (and John's) life. This all to say.. let’s TIE! (Jk I’m on truth as of 5/2)

Rook

If I was in the hags position and found a scared little piece of a god trapped in a half dead English man, I'd try and pry it out and eat it like an oyster. I honestly don't think giving her our name is going to be anything but trouble.

Laura A Moore

I think the lesson to be learned here is believing in power, and having that be the wrong option to turn to. The Hag has power over us, but she also believes that she holds power over us. We should keep John's identity secret as the king and not rely on the power of that name here.

Megs

Considering the fact that she turned the Prince into an undead ghoul then filled him with flesh eating parasites, maybe introducing ourselves as royalty isn’t the best option

Laura A Moore

Standing firm is a righteous pose, But ask yourself truly: is this how it goes? When strong you stand on perilous ground, The safety of friends is often unsound. A voice from Beyond in their Booth gives a warning, Assurance in Power now comes with a scorning! Relying on truth, when all else is lost Means losing a barter and paying the cost. Keep in mind lessons learned from the season just passed, Weave truth first, then falsehood! Keep mind of contrast. The answer seems clear, but there's always a way To keep our cards close, and see through the day!

Nicky

We don’t know for sure that he was a prince before he got bugged

Piper

I had to flip a literally coin for this!

evil John Doe call that John foe

Ok so me and my friend have decided on lie because a. It gives Harlan more creative freedom and we want to see what he does with it. b. We feel like there's still a lot of character exploration opportunities because while John might go for power, he might also say what he wants to be and the person he wants to become as he grows up. c. We could see if Yorick is complete unbiased or if he has an true alliance with John and Arthur. d. Lying comes naturally to John. e. Even if we don't get to see john try to identify who he is, is now really the time while Arthur is on the very edge of death and about to become a maggot womb

Rook

Man I am not leaving the liar’s camp. I don’t talk to cops or fae. If she wants a name tell her to speak to my lawyer. Yorick may be a snitch but I’m not lol

Megs

Fair! And to be fair, I do think there could be a fun dynamic with a queen, king, and prince all conversing. But I still don’t think giving a person who knows a little necromancy someone’s true name is a good idea.

SavageIvyy

There's a lot of 'we don't know for sure' as an argument for telling the truth and here's the thing. We don't know anything. The hard part with this choice is both sides of the argument have a solid point. What we do know: -Arthur is barely hanging on and incapacitated -The witch has the power of necromancy -We have half a conversation in which Yorick seems to be trying to get her favor, but also actively responding to John's requests -She does seem interested in the beings attached to Arthur -Yorick has already started lying to her Everything else is up in the air. But a lot of people seem to be wanting to see John flex his abilities. Keeping in mind that it's a huge drain on Arthur when he projects. Trying to do that would likely kill him for good at this point. We have jack all aside from Arthur's body and knowledge

Laura A Moore

Having John lie to the hag would be a great showcase of how far he’s come and all of the tricks he’s learned from Arthur over the past four seasons >:D

Nicky

I don’t see anything Yorick said/did as trying to gain the hag’s favor, though

SavageIvyy

Referring to her as My Queen seems pretty butt kissy to me. And again he's already lied to her by saying John lies to him. He's already playing her at least a little

Nicky

Whether she does or not, it doesn’t mean he’s doing it to get her favor

Heather Bruce
