Last time we went after an item arthur got dead 😭

jakob overgaard

I'm voting item. There are very few things at this point that we don't know or at least have a pretty good idea about. This creature, being a creature of vengeance and all, might give us a pretty cool item, which I think would be a shame to miss.

Kara

Arthur has SO many items he hasn’t used in over a season, not to mention the hag’s hand we haven’t explored yet. A truth could either be emotionally tasty or crucial intel abt whatever they’re dealing with here

Nicky

I’d argue there is still a lot Arthur knows very little about if at all, particularly around the Blackstone. What if the Truth Malam gives is what it is/what Kayne wants with it and that (rightfully) gets Arthur and John thinking about whether they should be following through on this at all, actually, regardless of the stick? Because ending all of reality or Kayne getting access to / power over even more planes is not a good thing, arguably worse than infinite torture of a few specific people

Nicky

But this is a gift, not theft. And that time he got the item, we learned about a new place, Arthur got armor, and John got to evaluate and formally decide and stand up for his own identity

I’m voting a truth. There’s still a lot about this new world that we don’t understand. It could help us either navigate both the land or understand the ppl here. Plus I feel as though a truth aligns more with Arthur and John’s path as private investigators. Knowledge is power.

Megan Lloyd

I'm going for truth. Items are cool and interesting, and I'm sure the stranger's gift would be powerful, but this being also has information we could not find elsewhere.

Megs

I’m voting for truth, but how funny would it be if the item in question was the black stone?

Amy

I’m gonna say truth. We have a lot of stuff already, and I think a truth is more flexible in how we might be able to use it in the future. Knowledge is powerful, after all.

Amy

Or it’ll drive Arthur insane, that’s also an option!

Laura A Moore

Orthur...our bag is so full of little trinkets and a chattering skull. We're trying to be sneaky but our keychain keeps jingling and alerting the guards...

Pan

guys we should flip it could be a sandwich

Stella

Ok clearly truth is gonna win at this point and I really would love to hear what Malam shares (plus I don’t want Arthur to have another object lmao he has too much stuff) but also isn’t one of the massive themes of malevolent at this point that we choose our own truths? We make our own life and we be what we want to be? So what would this objective Truth be 🤔

HakureiRyuu

BJ said pure instinct and my instinct is truth. the kind of talk we just had isn't capped off with a physical reward. and even if truth is subjective, it's still easier to interpret than an item that is lost.
