We're about to f**k around and find out

LCAO

Me too, but ya know, life's scary sometimes, You just gotta dive in head first and hope for the best 😂

CRUSH THIS SKULL NOW

Misly

Question is, what's scarier?? Letting Yorrick do whatever he wants or getting on his bad side

Nicky

This is a deal I’m interested in seeing through. For those nervous: I think we’ll get more votes for future steps toward the ultimate hand alterations and climbing a pole doesn’t seem worth breaking the relationship/current alliance with Yorick.

Thomas Hegarty

I feel like acquiescing previously voided denying this request. We agreed to help him however he wanted. We are kinda trapped here

I don't think working with Yorick is *necessarily* bad. I have a theory that Yorick = Tulzscha. Fish can expand on this more with his extensive lore knowledge, but the tl;Dr is that Tulzscha is an outer god who was originally mentioned when Oscar read from the bestiary, and the description there is very similar of John's of how Yorick looks. He is a green flame that is known of possess the dead. In Lovecraft lore Tulzscha is a member of Azathoth's court, who is a sleeping god, with all of existence supposedly existing in his dream. The Nyarlathotep in the Call of Ctuhulu 2 game (coc game 2 spoilers) wanted to use the black stone to release Azathoth from his slumber, ending reality. but Kayne is not that Nyarlathotep, and I honestly can't tell if his goals are the same - he slipped out of the piano, after all. The fact that he's still trying to get he black stone makes me think that that's still his goal, but it's entirely possible he wants it for his own, new reasons. I think the reason that Yorick had decided to follow Arthur/John was that he saw that Kayne would send them to find the blackstone, and as a member of Azathoth's court he's aware that it could be used to awaken Azathoth. Again, like with Kayne, I'm not actually sure if Yorick/Tulzscha would *want* that, but my best guess is that whatever Yorick is having them make will be used to nudge the results of finding the black stone the way he wants, whatever that may be. With all this uncertainty, in the end I must vote based on the most rock solid reasoning of all: *no* *take* *backsies.*

Yorrik doesn't get to be the sole arbitor of what counts as breaking the deal. We'll find (or make) more dead bodies that don't require a 30 ft climb. We're not saying no, we're saying wait. Stupid talking head. If he isn't careful, we'll turn him into a hackeysack.

BeastlyDeath

I know a lot of people are saying "oh Yorrik doesn't get to decide" but he in fact does. We (or John) did not put stipulations and rules in our deal to determine what we will and will not do to fulfill his requests. Is this gonna bite us? Most definitely. But we made the bed and we have to lay in it. Breaking the oath of someone who could easily make life hell for us is not in the cards right now

Ochy Dochy

A snack for yorick!! \O

Hand of Glory information, which is what I believe Yorick intends to make out of the witch’s hand, especially so now that we’ve come across a corpse in a gibbet, which is an alternate form of hanging: “A Hand of Glory is the dried and pickled hand of a hanged man, often specified as being the left (Latin: sinister) hand, or, if the person was hanged for murder, the hand that ‘did the deed.’ According to old European beliefs, a candle made of the fat from a malefactor who died on the gallows, lighted, and placed (as if in a candlestick) in the Hand of Glory, which comes from the same man as the fat in the candle, would render motionless all persons to whom it was presented. The Hand of Glory also purportedly had the power to unlock any door it came across.” Harlan may make it have different qualities because it’s not exactly accurate due to the hand being the witch’s and not the hanged man, so I’m excited to see what might be unique about this!

Loving the horror version of “If You Give A Mouse A Cookie” lol

Heather Bruce

You have a point. Post deal stipulations are unfair. Shame on John for not being clearer. ... rats

Nicky

It might not be a body part but an object. Also, the manner of death / nature of the dead person may be relevant (see hand of glory lore) so another opportunity may not be easily come across

Nicky

I think the whole Horig situation was set up to challenge the idea of having to follow through on a deal. Yes, the situation and potential consequences are different, but breaking the deal is still an option. Just not one I want to take

Heather Bruce

You make a good point. I hate it, but you're right. Stupid npcs being dumb jerks. *grumble grumble*

Ni nak

this is going to bite us anyway. better get bitten respecting a promise than breaking it.

Rianne Wright

I’ve decided to trust Yorick 100% he’s just a silly little guy surely this wouldn’t hurt us in any way shape or form. :3

Thomas Hegarty

I guess I’m far more threatened by the skull in our pocket then the mushroom man in the dirt

Brie

Why not help a friend?

Eel Pit

I believe Alexander is the friend who will betray them, not Yorick.

Veneza Shade

I love Yorick so much I do everything for him

Feli

Arthur just said he is not feeling well and is lightheaded. I’m not sure but I don’t think climbing a 30 foot pole in that state will end well 🤔

Nicky

He insisted he’s not sick and is physically fine 😆

NotKayne

I feel like Alexander is the one to worry about.
