"aurthr hasn't always been a believabl lier" 😭 daum, hes not wrong but daum

Flamia

I believe I would like to ask if the castle's lord knows the Prince very well, or if this meeting is purely political in nature.

Miko

if this casle there going to has not met the price it would make sense to get a general hystory of him and make up the rest. rumors of bad behavior could always be brushed off as just that, rumors. however if john says "i dont know how to ride a horse" when the prince was well known for his excellent horse rideing. that can draw suspicion (my opinion)

Zeno is a Paradox

Who did the prince think would be most against his goals at the castle, who did he see as his greatest potential obstacle there?

sunny

i think it would be useful to know about the prince’s personality. is he callous and cold or kind and compassionate? is he a cultist? is there anything significant about his persona? etc.

Thomas Hegarty

What was the prince like, how did he behave?

Sunny

I would ask about the prince on a more personal level. How does he treat people, what are his mannerisms, WHAT LANGUAGE DOES HE SPEAK (if he’s french I don’t know what the lads are gonna do), who in the castle knows him well. So to sum it up: ‘What is the prince like on a more personal level?’

BuriedInTheArchives

Re-read part 44 so I'll ammend Why did the prince accept this request from those unknown to him? Did he have something to gain? I think that will hopefully inform how Arthur should act.... and I guess hope he doesn't have to suddenly know french.

Wyrm

hmm. maybe what does the prince do in a day? that would give us info on his lifestyle and important figures around him

Marknado

Warren’s family line/history? I don’t think the people at the castle know him on a personal level since we know warren didn’t know this people or why they invited him, but they may know about his family and could be a reason he was invited

rosesofenvy

With it being a different history, how do the politics differ? What is standard etiquette for the time? (Would the prince defer to those at the castle or are they on similar standing? Does Arthur even know etiquette in the 1200’s)

max

what did the prince most value? (i am thinking more metaphorical here rather than items, unless that is his Thing)

Abbey Toye

What language do they speak?

manta

since the castle and those who meet have been known to worship the great old ones as the hag mentioned, it would probably be helpful to know if the prince himself also practiced in worship since our crew has a bit of existing knowledge about that, so question: is the prince a cultist/does he worship any of the old gods?

Charles McAllister

How do we identify the Prince’s superiors and inferiors in the castle? Are there markings or symbols to distinguish political rank?

Pan

it's stated before that the prince didn't know why he was headed to kerringford, just that he was summoned. yorick didn't seem to know anymore beyond that

Marknado

We already know he was invited to the castle but warren didn’t know why or really have any knowledge about the castle only his “interest was peaked”

Drake

Who were notible members of this prince's family?

Project Worldbuilder

What did the Prince know about the hierarchy at Kerringford? (I.e. who's in charge, who resides there, etc)

Project Worldbuilder

Was the Prince aware of any rituals/rumors surrounding the worship of the old gods happening at Kerringford?

Project Worldbuilder

What is going on in the Prince's realm that could be possible reasons for his invitation there? Why would the folks at Kerringford be interested in him?

Bram

What did the Prince assume would happen during his visit to the castle, even if he wasn’t certain?

RoryMarkal

LOLLLLLLLL I can't with Arthur and John being mean to Yorick "for pretenses"

Queen

Please remember if you're voting through likes: the more questions you vote for, the less powerful your vote is. I know there are a lot of good questions, but it's smarter to keep your votes limited!

Mads M

"What is publicly known about the prince?"

madison summer

The French conquering land that would've been English in Arthur's timeline is super important here - "What are differences in behavior and mannerisms between French and English nobility?"

lenore

This might seem weird but seeing as the head is rotted we could ask "if the prince has any distinguishing features / how would he identify himself as the prince upon arrival" otherwise just anyone could do as we are and just say they are the prince. Are there people who would recognise him / should we need to change our appearance or have an invite

Belanlo

Yeah, understanding what he does day to day might help us to know why he got invited and help to understand what kind of person he is based on his actions.

aria + jane

"How does the prince treat those around him - from nobility to common folk?"

Aspen Whispers

Whats the needed mannerisms/etiquette of this time?

Raven

“ what were the princes intentions when going to the castle ?”

BeastlyDeath

"was the prince meeting anyone at the castle?" Or "has the prince been to the castle enough to be recognized?"

rowanoak

“What is something only the prince would know?”

Graham

What behavior would be expected from the prince and what knowledge would he be expected to have?

Fisher

Here’s a list of things we know about Warin the prince already to help us craft our questions: - He was on the way traveling to Castle Kerringford but was intercepted by the witch. - He did **not** know who was hosting this meeting, nor had he ever been to the castle, or even why he would have been invited, but it piqued his curiosity. - Warin is not actually royalty, the title was one of courtesy he received from King Louis the 8th. Aravel is fuedal land and Warin’s family was loyal to the king. France rules over England in this timeline, thus French customs are the norm. - Aravel is a region in French-conquered England.

Fisher

i’ll toss my idea into the ring. In episode 44 Yorick tells us Warin did not know who was hosting the invitation, had never been to the castle before, and that “The prince was not aware why his attendance was requested, nor the intention of the visitation. However, his curiosity was... piqued.” so my question is: Since he had never been there before and was not aware of whomever was hosting, just what was it about the invitation that piqued the Prince’s curiosity enough to attend? I feel like it opens the door to let us learn a lot about what the prince was all about.

Nicky

PROPOSED QUESTION How was Warin intending to approach the meeting? (Ex: polite and curious, wary of ill intent, bold and self important, etc) I think this opens a lot of valuable threads to follow about expected behaviors, the Prince himself that can help Arthur successfully pass as him as well as threads for other potentially valuable information to the goal of finding the BlackStone or related clues within the castle

Queen

Re: everyone exclusively on patreon- we are having a ball discussing the questions and what bucket to put our likes in. you should join us! hook up your discord account through patreon to get access.

Nicky

We already know he hasn’t been to the castle and doesn’t know anyone there

Lambda

Q: What was unusual about the invitation? This line of questioning opens up two prongs: one into Warin - what about the invitation caught his eye? Did it stand out from the typical? This can give us insight into how to fake being him. The other is into the mystery at Kerringford - what's out of place here, and gives Arthur something specific to pursue once we get there.

Pan

Probably the breastplate. Also I doubt any random 1200s person knows that "Prince Warin" was invited and will waltz up pretending to be him

Benjamin

how much did the prince know about the castle’s inhabitants via word of mouth or reputation? are they well known in this area, and if so, what for?

Abby-May Burkin

What was written in the letter the prince received? I think we should at least ask Yorick to recite the letter. That way we have full context, and as much info as the prince himself got too.

Nicky

Yorick already said the prince doesn’t know the people at the castle or why he was invited, so I don’t think this fits under learning about Warin / is something Yorick could tell us right away

Nicky

It might be helpful, but he didn’t know the people from the castle so they likely didn’t know him either, and it feels like a very narrow /specific place to start, since Arthur can ask follow up questions, but not branch into new topics.

Nicky

I’m concerned that’s too narrow a place to start, but would be great as a possible follow up

hydrus101

Q: Is there anyone expected to be at the castle that already *knows* the Prince, and if so, who? Something like this would: 1) determine whether we actually need to put effort towards being super convincing with mannerisms/looks, or if the breastplate is proof enough 2) determine if any of his peers are in attendance, as potential allies and/or enemies to avoid 3) help determine the purpose of the meeting. If its a meeting where everyone is High Profile and knows everyone else, that will tell us something different than if if it’s a bunch of strangers with no ties to one another pulled from all ends of the kingdom

Liz

"What reputation does Warrin have, that might be known to the castle?"

hydrus101

Follow up to this: we know already that the Prince doesn’t know anyone at the castle, but that doesn’t mean the people at the Castle don’t know him. Knowing what the (potential) enemy knows about us is critical, it’s very similar to what we’re doing with the Owl. We know something about her that she (hopefully) doesn’t know that we know. Its mind games all the way down

Liz

Alternatively, because I liked Ren's line of thinking, "What about Warrin makes him special (to the inhabitants of the castle)?"

Pan

Hey y'all, harlan has said any top comments that are repeats will still be added to the poll. this means if two options ask the same thing but are in the top 3 they will make it as poll questions. vote wisely so we don't get repeats

Ulysses

"Could you recite what exactly was written in the letter Prince Warin recieved?"

Ni nak

what is prince warrins role in this world? with the reveal that this is French England, the title prince does not really mean much to us -yet. I trust Arthur to make this line of questions useful to himself. it is opening up for information about the prince, and maybe more importantly -it will help him pass as the prince when arriving at the castle.

Amanda Nicole

"What about the invitation stood out to Prince Warrin?" This could lead to information about the prince-- what catches his attention; guesses as to why he was sent the letter; if he's the only one who was invited; plus how he felt about the invitation could be asked about in a follow-up and that could lead to something.

0rthor

Was he hot👀?

lixx

I was thinking the exact same thing, this line allows for political role questions (could also give general info about the world) and on more personal level, so I'd definitely ask this

Ochy Dochy

Is amnesia a good route? Or is that witchcraft? e>e

Queen

Manta could you consider rephrasing this comment to contain a question? You have a lot of votes and I'm worried it won't matter if it doesn't contain a really clear question!

Scottie

Who did the Prince trust in the castle and why?

Kass

not sure if anyone has said this but it’s actually spelled Warin! :3

Wyrm

ive veen arguing for this question in the discord but didnt even think of commenting it lol! thank you abby-may

Izzy

I am so gonna be voting for your question if it gets chosen to be in the poll

Nicky

I’m concerned about how narrow it is as a starting point… BJ said Arthur would ask follow up questions, but I don’t think he’ll branch out from the initial question topic

Queen

okay can i throw my hat in the ring for saying we shouldn’t ask about what was in the letter not because it’s not a good question but because i don’t know if that’s the point of the story right now or if that would be something entertaining to read and on a lesser scale, because if i were harlan i wouldn’t want to sit down and spend 20 minutes crafting ye olde frenche letters that are supposed to be from an anonymous source with no explicit details as to what is requested of the character i understand the appeal of reading it from the perspective of those spending a Like for it, of course we could see arthur use his powers of investigation as best he can to discern the tone or subtext or something, maybe even get another clue about how the different historical events have changed things, but the prompt was “tell me everything about the prince” and i don’t know if “like what his mail said” is the best response to that when you don’t know this show is being 1/4th piloted by votes if someone said “tell me everything about yourself” during my journey to a castle to meet with an unknown source for an unknown engagement i definitely wouldn’t start with “well my letter said…” i think it’s valuable to know what the letter says. i DO wish we knew. but i don’t think it’s the BEST question we can ask yorick.

Ni nak

oh, you looked through my clever disguise. I must admit I'm a pirate. yarr.

Nicky

Yeah - it was an invitation from unknown people to a place he’s never been for unspecified purpose. I don’t think the specifics of the wording will be all that informative. And choosing that as a starting point really limits where the followup can go

Abby-May Burkin

Whilst I 100% see your point, what if there was something in the letter that Warin didn't pick up on that John/Arthur might? We've already had letter with hidden messages etc, so anything is possible! 😅

alicyn

what was the prince’s temperament like? i.e. was he kind? brutal?

Nicky

Since the poll post isn’t up yet QUESTION: What did Warin think the folks at the castle would know about / expect of him?

Anusia Battersby

What should we know about the castle before heading over there?

Jenn Gillis

Spent the day with my kiddos and my evening with Arthur and Jon....No better way to spend my Christmas evening than catching up on all these I've been saving up!
