y'all, no matter what, Arthur CANNOT have a useless arm. Otherwise it's up to John, and let's be real here, John does not know how to fight. Additionally, leaving Arthur injured is such a bad idea. whatever is down there likely wants to hurt them, having Arthur incapacitated in some regard even before he's able to get mauled is not a good prospect for him. And if he is to die, when he comes back alive (someone mentioned previously that they still have the Witch's Talisman), he'll have a moment of peace because the enemy wouldn't have expected that. And in that moment, we do not want it wasted on fixing his shoulder. He may come back alive due to the Witch's Talisman, but he will still have his injuries.

OKAY DAMN THIS WAS !!!!!! I’m loving this season HOLY FUCK Anyway, Option 1: Fix Arthur’s shoulder. Arthur is ALREADY EXTREMELY WEAK from Horig and/or The Plague™️ He can hardly stand, let alone fight, and just used up a fuck ton of energy with the bedroom door and running from Barnabas. What the fuck is he going to do with only one arm that he cannot feel or navigate on his own? He’s blind and doesn’t have full function of both arms —- right now he’s just legs and adrenaline and over exhausted lungs full of blood. PLUS, Arthur already fell —LOUDLY— down into the forest, and made all sorts of racket being in pain and talking to John. The thing may not know exactly where they are, but their presence is already known. Option 2: Do. Not. Move. If /something/ is there, it’s better to err on the side of caution and assume it intends to harm them rather than help them or be neutral to them. So, staying still could (hopefully) prevent whatever it is from locating them directly or immediately. ALSO, we have seen moving forests before, and I am worried the trees might be harmful to touch. So, if Arthur tries to use a trunk to relocate his shoulder, it could end up being MUCH worse than waiting to reset it later. As Evrard said: “The goats wood trees are not what they seem.” — Perhaaaaps we don’t touch them.
