Immediate thoughts are to tell the truth! - We need to make good with the gang so they trust us (and would use our shiny new talisman on us if we’re downed) - If we tell them the truth about MD being after us for killing a hag who hurt us, then we would probably gain their trust and maybe even admiration for killing a being so powerful - The questions we have been asked (who was MD and what did she want with us?) are fairly simple to answer, at most we’d reveal we have the interest of Lilith but I don’t see a reason why we’s reveal our alliance with Kayne - Alia knows who MD is, she will know we’re lying to Sir Veil’s face and it will make things extra tense with the party - We like these people! We want them to survive so giving them the down low (or at least as much as they need to know) will keep them, and by extension us, alive for longer - If you enjoy pain like me, the more trust we build with our gang the more tasty the betrayal will be hehe…

Fuck it I say we tell him. The fact that Arthur slew the Witch could gain brownie points. But I don't think he should reveal much about Lilith. I feel so bad for the boys tho, their path isn't easy at all :(

Tell the truth!!! Yorick says that Alia “knew much about Mother Darkness and her desire for the talisman” Alia can write that down if Arthur lies!!! Just tell them it was MD and that she wanted the talisman. Revealing that info doesn’t mean exposing their plans or Lilith or anything else. Arthur can relay almost everything that happened with the hag/witch without revealing anything of their plan. “Idk man, we went into this cave/tunnel and got stabbed by this hag but we used her medallion to revive me and we killed her so now her mom hates us and we want to keep the talisman because it’s powerful and can be useful” (insert how it’s healing properties can help *everyone* in their party, giving them an extra bonus in “showing” how much they care about their party)

Agreed! It’s a simple answer that doesn’t need any in-depth discussion (as long as Arthur doesn’t accidentally reveal too much or say something that would cause Veil to prod further). Just give the SparksNotes, Arthur! Also yes —- pain is delicious —- betraying and/or losing our party after we get close to them would be /magnificent/.

Okay, bestie, pop off (I personally feel a-okay about the decision to keep the talisman. BJ said it might be smart in the short term but not the long —- but we are ‘eating the elephant’ right now, so the long term is not really our concern, especially when the ultimate big bad long term is Kayne’s and his daughter’s family drama lmao)

I still think keeping the amulet was the right call. Sympathizing with someone for their loss is one thing, but putting yourself in danger is another. Don’t set yourself on fire to keep another warm and all that.

I was originally on team give the talisman back, but switched to keep later on (thanks autopsy). And I am still glad I did! MD wanted to kill us regardless, and the fact that we were *still* clocked by both Alia and Sir Vale regardless of giving the talisman back really solidified my take. I’m sure it’ll come back to bite us in the ass, but for now I feel better about traveling with this group. We better tell the truth, this decision can’t go to waste
