We CAN'T submit, there's nothing good in store for us if we give Scratch control

Jo

It’s time to make like a banana and get the fuck out of here!

K.M.

The wording here… it’s so specific… I can’t decide if it’s scratch tricking us that it would be “submitting” to do what Arthur thought would help (not fighting the nightmare and not be afraid)… or if it’s literally just… giving in. Gosh what a tough poll. I’ve fought this whole time that best to relax and fight the dream by not being afraid. But the wording SUBMIT is insane. Is it a trick? Or is it actually submitting…

Dani Ruggeri

I will interpret this as what it sounds like, no inner meanings or spirals. Untie that hand, slap that monster with that hand, get the fuck out.

Phoebe

Yeah, "submit" here reminds me of John's nightmare(?) about the shadow monster that wanted them both to "give in". Seems bad!

Unorthofox

Should have been running ages ago. Wake. Up.

Amy

Look, maybe John can just keep Arthur still by holding onto the bed. Let’s untie that rope!

Victoria Kore

I feel like there's no good option tbh. Continuing to fight hasn't helped us get out this entire time, and the way John reacted the first time we didn't just lay there made me think that that was definitely the wrong choice. On the other hand, I don't like the idea of giving up almost entirely because it goes against Arthur's character, and it could easily make things worse... My instinct says stay still, but my instinct also said to trust Marie and look how well that turned out. Man, I am Really ready to be done with this arc 😞

Clau

Look, Mr. Scratch knows Arthur's head, but he's not omniscient. He's seen him at his worst and best, and now that Arthur won't give him his usual fear juice, he's tying him up. Why? It's a dream, he could do anything at all. He thinks Arthur's fighting instinct will come back up, and he'll try and struggle to escape. Well, we're done playing his games, aren't we? He wants us to panic and make him the hero, even with this sneaky phrasing up there. Submit. We're not submitting. We're done giving him what he wants, and we're letting go of the dream's power over Arthur. His only power is one of illusion, and I for one can see through it. Can you?

Matilda Rosén

Why did it change into a nightmare? Because Arthur stopped engaging with the dream and now Scratch is trying to scare him to make him participate again. Well, I for one am done playing along!

K.M.

Hit! The! Hay!! Don’t play games anymore! This is our last vote this part- let’s make it count and not let scratch tell Arthur how it is!

Teakettle

I've gone back and forth so much on this one, but sod it. Team hit the hay too. Not giving him the satisfaction of struggling.

Kiah Benedict

We just said we’re not scared or playing this game before, stop playing and acting afraid by trying to get away

Clau

Please friends! The guy asking isn't our good entity Booth Entity, it's that fucker Mr. Scratch. Of course he's gonna phrase the option he doesn't want us to take, like a thing we wouldn't want! Look at him, he's ALL illusions and mindgames. It's crystal clear ! flip !!!
