Sometimes when I'm going about writing a scene I make a visual so I can better express how Arthur moves around. In the case of the Widow's rented room and the room below, I wonder how closely it sounded to the visuals I made to help support the story!

Here's a little behind the scenes peak at the room layouts.

Holy wow, your storytelling is amazing because this is almost exactly how I pictured them 👀

Marimo

Scottie

Ooo Right on! Thank you!

Gabi (Tao)

This is amazing and very close to what I imagined when I heard the soundscape. Question! Where are the weird glass window located?

Brandi

I love the really decayed feel of the second image.

Amazing. Love to see how is the process to get to the strong visual feeling i got when i listen. That is, basically, the setup in my mind. The amount of footsteps, the descriptions inside the dialogue, the echoes... yeah, the amount of invisible work shows in the final result. ♡

Whoa this is so cool!!!!!

I'd pictured Arthur's rented room a fair bit smaller, and the bed in the room below facing a different direction, but everything else is spot on! It's really impressive how you can paint a picture with sound

Great visual aids! It very much helps paint a picture of the scene. What program do you use to make these in?

ren ?

John, buddy, that's not a normal looking bed 🥴

Erik

When John said the room's geometry seemed impossible for a moment — where was Arthur standing and what direction was he facing? Also, any chance for a map that shows what John perceived at that moment (if even representable)?

I'm using the same map creator for my DnD campaign ahah It's so сool and has many great visuals!
