Hello All!

Olivia is so great with little ones, seeing her be an auntie warms my heart and seeing her befriend this lad that had been clearly struggling, and gain each others trust, was just so lovely. Also, are we gonna talk about the observer here??? That has to mean more no??? Okay don't tell me haha. Great stand alone episode that just makes me grow more fond of our characters, it's a yes from me. Bring on the next one.

Truly hope you enjoy the reaction folks. Have a fab week everyone! Thank you for the constant love & support!

Much love

Dakara x

HI Dakara, just finished watching the reaction and boy this one is a doozy, the whole time you're watching it you fully believe that this a ''monster of the week'' type of episode and then right at the end it throws you the connection to the main plot of the show out of nowhere and you're left bewildered, classic Fringe style. Even as a self contained episode though this one is still a great because, just like you mentioned in your discussion at the end ,''filler'' episodes can still matter if you do them the right way such as using them as a vehicle to further our attachment to the characters we are watching and the relationships with each other and when you do that you make every episode count sregardless of the plot and in this particular aspect Fringe really shines, if you are already starting to feel like part of the group now i feel like by the end of the it may just become your favourite ever XD. In regard to the boy like i said in the previous episode i won't go too deep in the discussion but i will say that there are very few things in Fringe that are not paid off by the end, sometimes it takes a long time but they usually are so just don't forget about him. Also this one is a great showcase for Anna Torv, her portrayal of Olivia is always superb but in this kind of episode where we get to see the more sensible and caring side she's just spectacular and her interactions with the boy are so hearwarming same as the ones with Ella. Thank you for the shoutout at the end of the episode, i'm glad you enjoyed my comment and don't worry i won't stop writing them, there is going to be A LOT to talk about later on, enjoy this ''quiet'' episodes because it gets increasingly more intense/crazy as theshow progresses but it's also going to be so good!!

Hi Dakara, Another excellent reaction! And an excellent discussion! I would like (not only for this episode) to write more, but ... you know ... SPOILERS ...

I'm reading way too much into it because I'm obsessed with colour theory in film but I love the presence of yellow colour in this episode. Rachel and Olivia choosing yellow shirt for Ella. The yellow M&Ms that reminded Olivia of medicine. The yellow air freshener.  Also I only now realised that the 1st victim, the tattoo woman, was the original Becky on Roseanne.

This was a really good episode and I was hooked right from the beginning. I was triggered a bit when they ordered a nasal canula for "The Child" (as he's listed on IMDb) as I had one of those for months in 2021-2022. Actually, "triggered" isn't the right word, it was more nostalgic, as weird as that may sound. I didn't recognize Alicia Goranson at first, but then thought, "Holy shit, it's Becky Connor!". I can rewatch episodes of Rosanne (the original series) for days. I would even wake up early at the rehab place to watch them in the morning. I do have one gripe about that scene, and I think I may have mentioned it before in another reaction a year or so ago: as someone with tattoos, 95% of my friends have tattoos, several of my friends are tattoo artists, you do not have a tattoo facing backwards (Griffin tattoo). Whoever put the fake tattoos on her has no tattoos whatsoever. I really hope that Rachel and Ella stay with Olivia. I love being an uncle and even though they're all adults now with kids of their own, I'll always look back with love on when they would come for a visit during the holidays and follow me around the house. We'd play video games and watch movies. Every one of them still talks about Bugsy Malone (1976), which is a very nostalgic movie for me as I saw it in the theater when it was released. If you haven't watched it, put it on your watch list. Finally, and I have admitted to being a Grammar Nazi several times here, one of my big ones is "begs the question": "begs the question" does not mean "raises the question". Okay, I feel better now. Thanks as always Dak! Still the best!
