Hello All!   

Ep 9 really brought it! We know more about Julie and her death, so very tragic! Dawes ignored her, her Dad betrayed her and Miller didn't get there in time. Such an awful way to go. Not only did Julie die, her body is now been used to collect more of this infection & her Dad has given the order. Miller and Holden butted heads a lot and have now been hit with radiation to top things off! The joys! Next ep is the finale right??? How's it all gonna end and lead into Season 2?!

Probably have to watch this on the weekend getting home and heading to the hospital to visit my dad daily is not leaving me much time but I shall get popcorn and beer to have for the complete experience 🍿 🍺

Cheers dak 💙 the hospital released him too soon last Thursday and Friday I got a call saying he was ambulanced back in so this time he's not leaving til he's better 👍

It does feel like Game of Thrones, where no character is truly safe 😬 Julie's dad, real father of the year material there. Seems like some messed up stuff is happening on Eros. Were they injecting that bioweapon into those people and then blasting them with radiation, WTF? This feels like something that would happen on Fringe. I hope you'll be able to squeeze The Expanse in with Kobra Kai, but if not I'm happy you'll at least continue watching it later. It just keeps ramping up from here!

Great episode, loved the intro. Liked the flashback, gave us viewers some much needed context. Julie was being used, of course. The daughter of a wealthy earther, and she had daddy issues to boot. The OPA couldn't have known what was waiting, but I suspect that they knew it was going to be a one way trip. The fact that the Anubis was behind the destruction of the Donneger was interesting, because we learned that someone wanted a shooting war to start. For what reason, though is a mystery. Everything seems to play into Julie' dad. I hope we find out how this fits in.

It's kinda said in the episode, Earth and Mars were being pushed into a conflict to distract them from what we now see happening on Eros.

"Oh is this the, is this the actual credits, like the title sequence?" OMFG YES!!!! Yes yes yes... 🫠 No no no... This is just the START of it... It gets so much better. Literally. It changes over time. We should have this now every single episode. And I don't remember when but it definitely gets longer too. I recommend re-watching this sequence after the fact multiple times on the biggest screen you have... Like a 65" TV in your living room. And at least once at 25% speed (muted) to really soak in the gorgeous 😍 visuals... (Remember it gets longer over time) It's so pretty. And also with reason. One of my favorite title sequences.

it's definitely different in the beginning of season 2 incorporate more mars visuals, so only a couple more episodes lol

So glad you are loving the show and have made it through the early slow parts. Also finally we have a proper title sequence I think you will keep enjoying it. In regards to still having questions, in this show everytime you get an answer you get two more questions. Which is what makes it so good.

Maybe AC10 already informed ya, but... While the season finale is next episode, the book finale is S2E5. And it's highly recommended to watch 4&5 together.

Good to know that you'll be carrying on with the show! Just to clarify, the first novel in the series covers S1 of the show, plus episodes 1-5 of S2, so there is still a bit more to go with this storyline. The second novel spans S2 and S3 in the same way.

I saw your November schedule update pop us, just as I finished watching your reaction. Yes, I was the guy that panicked. You scared me a little there. Phew. Haha! The wait is going to kill me, but it's gonna be so worth it! Oh hey Dak, remember when you used to do episode ratings on your older reactions to stuff like Supernatural? I can tell you one thing, this show would have thrown those for a toss. People aren't joking when they say the show gets better and better. You would've been dishing out 15/10's by the mid point of the series. On to the finale guys!

OPA = Outer Planets Alliance I believe this is the first time the show gives you the expanded form of that acronym.
