Grayson is 6 years old today! I remember filming my labour story like it was yesterday...6 years later, I'm still here haha. CRAZY! Thanks for allowing me to keep doing this guys <3 Now onto the content...Please use one of the links at the bottom of this post to watch this video, thank you:

Hello All!

How this show manages to make every episode feel like a cinematic experience is beyond me! Pure entertainment. This one emphasised the burden Niaomi is now feeling after keeping her secret from Holden. It also introduced some backstory to Drummer and re introduced Dawes to the mix! There is a traitor amongst us!!!

Much love

Dakara x

Happy Birthday to Grayson!!! (How the time flies...)

Happy Birthday to the kiddo!

Happy birthday to the little one! I love the accent and the attitude Cara Gee brings along for Drummer. The whole Mars thing is tricky - the officers running the interrogations give off sketchy vibes for sure, but I can see their point of view too. There's only one person with information on what went down on Ganymede, no video footage, no hard evidence, and it could lead to a war that absolutely shatters the solar system. I think I'd be pretty intense at that point too. Do we announce what we think the truth is, and potentially start the war, or do we lie and potentially sacrifice one marine's wellbeing for the sake of avoiding war? It's a tough and very realistic conversation.

Happy birthday Grayson have a fantastic day hope mum got you a nice cake 🙂 . 6 wow time sure does fly eh . Havnt watched yet but will do in a bit in the meantime spoil that boy of yours dak and give him an awesome day 🥳🎁🎂

Isak Haugerud

Happy birthday to your boy! The subtitles were not on point in this episode 😂 Eros became Earth, hat turned into heart, plus other errors I'm forgetting right now. I guess nobody at Amazon/SyFy actually checked them, and just let the AI run wild 🤖

PaulC

Dawes definitely says "hat" in reference to Miller, the subtitles are a bit iffy in places so I'm glad you spotted it! I'm not sure if his name has been said on screen, but the UN Secretary General is Esteban Sorrento-Gillis. I also looked up a few of the Belter words used in the episode. Dawes calls Naomi "setara" which apparently means star, and later he calls Drummer "mali" which means small or little, so I guess he's using them as terms of endearment? "Pampaw" means grandad or uncle but is used more generally to refer to an older male: Drummer says it to Dawes, and I'm sure Diogo said it to Miller a few episodes ago. Nice to see your enthusiasm for the show! You had me a little worried back in season one, but you're clearly into it now and I'm sure the rest of season two won't disappoint! Happy birthday to Grayson!! 🎂 My nephews turn 8 and 10 in the next few months and I've got no idea where the time's gone. They'll all be sulky teenagers before we know it!

hope grayson had a lovely birthday dak! where does the time go eh? as ye ken, im not really much of a talker. one thing I will ask... must you tease us dak? tell us your jumping straight into the next one, while we gotta chill till next week to see it!? 😂 Not that i blame you dak, the show is so good. n ye have more restraint than me. because during my original viewing I binged entire seasons in one night! then going into work on like 2 hours sleep 😁 im so glad you are enjoying it. im very much enjoying rewatching it along with you. love as always dak❤️

PongPong31

Gotta say Dak, mirroring your experience with watching The Expanse and how it's pretty unlike anything you've reacted to before, your post episode discussions are markedly unique too. It's like 8 years of honing your skills have led us here. I'm not sure many of the other shows you've done, or will do, are going to lend themselves to such fulfilling after-watch breakdowns. Onwards we go, setara! You're the best.

Definitely enjoying my time here, thank you. ^.^ I always find the situation with the Belters to be really messy. On one hand, I understand that sometimes you need to use violence to get what needs to be done, done. On the other hand, the blind hatred/zealotry and the lengths they are willing to go, makes me feel kind of disgusted. On top of that, racism is racism. This show is actually a good exploration into how differences and similarities create forms of racism between all groups. Especially in how it differs between the oppressors vs the oppressed, and between people that are pretty similar, but just different enough. The example there being Private Travis, Hillman, and Sa'id. They are all Martian Marines, yet still hold major prejudices against each other. I think it's pretty clear what Earth, Mars, and The Belt all think of each other. lol. I agree, the political fabric here is complex and lives on a razors edge.

Omg Happy Birthday to the little one— my little girl’s is in a little less than a month, so this reminded me that I started watching you when we were pregnant at the same time 🤣 Where did the time go, eh?

Robert

Seems I missed Graysons birthday, hope it was a great one for him. Holden is being put into an impossible position. He's being told he needs to pick a side, when he doesn't even know what the sides are. If you ever read Lord of the Rings, Treebeard has a line that fits this well, "I'm not on anyones side because no one seems to be on my side.". I'm paraphrasing I think. All he knows is that there's more to this than anyone knows, and no one seems to see it. Dawes is a user. He'll take what he needs from a person, and then throw that person away. Draper(Gunny) is being introduced to the world of politics, and obviously doesn't like it. She's been told to relay a version of the facts, instead of the fact as she saw them. There's a saying in some political circles, "never let the truth get in the way of a good story.". Dawes is in the wind with the protomolecule, so has no idea of how much danger he's putting everyone in. Not that I think he would care, just as long as he came out on top.

I've been loving these reactions. Just so you know, when Bobbie has been saying she's looking forward to being on Earth soon, she doesn't mean as a tourist, she means as part of an invasion force! Earthers and Martians don't really visit each others' planets, rather like during the Cold War - an American couldn't just visit the USSR to do some sightseeing, and vice-versa; that's why the officer makes a point of the fact that he got to go to Earth as along with his parent who was a diplomat. But she's always been shown to be really trigger-happy when it comes to Earth, eager for them to have a final showdown, and so all those times she talks about "expecting to be on Earth soon" and so on she's saying (a) you leaders shouldn't be so cowardly and should just start the war, and (b) she expects to win and to be landing on Earth soon.

Ian

Yes dak camina drummer is my favourite she's so great 🔥 glad you now know gunny is called Bobbie which is a much nicer name . I wonder how long before you start talking belter 😀 that would be great , it's quite the accent 🙂 . It's fantastic how you're so invested and enjoying the show after your early trepidation , it gets better and better and it's great rewatching along with you 🔥

Kevin

All this talk about chosing sides but Gunney certainly has chosen her team. Poor Gunney, all that loss then add in plenty of stress. They put her on drugs to help her focus and she finally accepts/believes what she saw even if she can't make sense of it. Only to have her superiors tell her to stop talking about it, then ask her to do the opposite of what she wants for the good of her team. Kind of makes me glad I am much more like Holden and generally avoid choosing sides/teams.
