SAM IS BACK???!!! Let's gooooo!! His return has made me more nervous about Peter though and I was already spiralling on that topic! I enjoyed the 'MOTW' in this one too. I'd hate the power to read minds, I really felt for that guy! I guess Liv now knows what it would feel like to be able to hear the private thoughts of those she loves. OUCH! Did you hear that? Yup, that's the sound of my heart breaking!!

"so much for interrogating him" says the guy who's interrogated multiple dead people at this point lol i'm with you on the deeper meaning of "he still has feelings for her," or at least i'm thinking along the same lines. i feel like while on the surface, such thoughts would appear to be about the actual fauxlivia, they're likely more about mourning the relationship he thought he was building with the woman he loves but he doesn't have anything with our olivia to compare or overwrite those experiences with so that's all he has right now. what an absolute mess sidenote: peter's mindset could also relate back to last episode if we want it to? if the machine's purpose depends on his mindset, i'd hate to see what would happen if peter from last episode got in there morbid note: warren, the first victim, likely would've still been alive by the time he was found (immediately by the woman) because having all your bones removed/dissolved would be a suffocating death since your lungs no longer have the space required to breathe. what an awful way to go

I really like this episode, although I know some feel it's slow. I do wish we had a bit more of Walter in the lab and definitely more Astrid, but I'll take what I can get. I felt so bad for Simon as I can't even imagine how maddening it would be to hear people's thoughts constantly. The actor, Omid Abtahi, played Sameer Shah in 3 episodes of THE BOYS in 2024 and Dr. Penn Pershing in 5 episodes of THE MANDALORIAN. He's a great actor and if you watched FEAR THE WALKING DEAD and AMERICAN GODS, you've seen him there as well. I wish there were more seasons of this series because it's so addictive. Thanks for the shoutout Dak, always appreciated! And yes, I'm very happy to be back commenting; still not up to snuff, but I'm hanging in there. You're the best and never let anyone say otherwise. No need to be confused about Peter. The great thing about this show is that it doesn't spoon-feed people's emotions. It asks the viewer to think and connect the dots, while also speculating the real reason for why people do the things they do. Peter is still a badass after all and he has been through a lot in his life, thing about his time in Iraq and his Mob connections. It's not surprising for him to get over things easily and carry on (that's what he's been doing his whole life - his father's institutionalization, his mother's death, fringe division, his father's revelations, fauxlivia, etc). If he kept it a secret last epsiode, why would he say something now. It's in the background now, and it may come up at a later time. As for Walter, same thing. If he kept it a secret last episode, why would he tell anyone now? He is obviously trying to protect Peter. As for his feelings for Olivia it's no manipulation (we know Peter by now) - you are right he is trying to convince himself. Neumann said it perfectly. Also Sam is back. He definitely seems that he knows more than he said in this episode. He also wrote the books. It makes you wonder what else he knows.

I'm so far behind! But, watched another episode reaction. I truly don't remember hardly anything about this show. Just general stuff. I don't even remember how it ends. So, you don't have to worry about my comments being spoilery. I'm pretty much in the same boat as you regarding things. So, that being said - I still would have liked for Peter to have been suspicious of faux Olivia, but I'm not as ticked off about it. However, I'm not ticked off that he has any lingering feelings for faux Olivia. Because she totally used him and misled him. He should be infuriated with her for using his feelings for og Olivia like that. It would give me big ick issues to have been with a total stranger that was passing themselves off as someone I loved. It's hard to stay mad at Peter, though. So I hopefully will get over it. One other thing - why don't people in this show ask enough questions?! When they're talking to someone I'm always talking to the characters to ask more questions. Sam in particular needs to be asked so many questions, yet Nina just didn't. ugh
