Hello All!

Goodbye bridge! The divide is present but I do feel the bond between them is still very strong...they've come along way since the start of the show! Never thought I'd see a scene so pure and calm between Walter and Walternate but it's one to treasure. Still no sign of The Observers, the object or the hybrids.

Much love

Dakara x

"What exactly did Jones promise these people?" Lies! That's what. The Observer wasn't in the scene with Nick where you thought. I saw him in your video earlier in the first scene with Sally Clark under that bridge when she was arriving and there was the floating sign "Sydney, Australia".

AC10

420 cubic inch big block in da house what what??? Wait... What were you thinking about!?!?!? 😜

Gosh that is still as good of an episode as i remember, it really is crazy to think where we started at the beginning of the season with the two universes physically connected but “emotionally” distant and now we arrive almost at the end of the season and the physical connection has been severed but emotionally they are closer than ever before, just a great journey. I have to admit that i wish we had gotten a couple more goodbyes there at the end, mainly the two Astrids and Fauxlivia/Walter which is a relationship that i have not talked about much but it’s maybe my favourite to come out of this new timeline, they are just so playful and fun together, she really bring out a side of Water that we rarely get to see especially this season. The ones we got though were absolutely fantastic, the ones between the Walter was especially touching and once again they were brought together by their love for a version of Peter, fatherhood truly transcends universes and timelines. The ones between the Olivias was a little bit different considering the now Olivia has the memories of the og timeline and that brought in some very bad experiences with Fauxlivia but i still liked that at the end they acknowledged that they both admire/wished they had aspects of the other because it always felt like that throughout the seasons and i’m glad they said it to each other. Super cool that they brought back the cortexiphan kids in this new timeline and tied them back to Jones, who was also behind their activation in season 1, it’s both cool and sad at the same time the fact that he was able to use these kids that were supposedly “trained” to protect the world to actually destroy it, a very bittersweet irony. Love that they brought Nick Lane back, his duality with Olivia has always fascinated me, the fact that they were paired in the experiment and they came out the opposite of each other is so interesting, she is a pure empath and he is a reverse empath, such a cool idea. Lincoln’s choice to stay on the other side made a lot of sense to be honest, i do partly wish we had gotten maybe another episode on the other side with him before he made that big of a decision but i still like that he made it. Really glad you ended up taking our advice and skip ep 19 for now, the discussion definitely got heated (as it usually does) but i firmly believe this will guarantee you the best possible experience on a first watch but again i want to hear your thoughts when you eventually watch it to see if you agree or not. Also your request about hearing/seeing more about the observers will be answered…… trust me.

What's happened to 4x19. You've gone from 18 to 20/21. Do you explain it in the reaction? I'm a bit behind on everything. It is listed on your website as next so was curious. Thanks

I love how they connect things, sometimes even years apart. In the Season 2 finale, when the Cortexiphan kids help Olivia over to the other universe to try to bring Peter back, in the scene right before Sally goes supernova, Lincoln recognizes Nick and even calls him out by name. They never explain how he knows him, but here we find out it's because they once lived in the same neighborhood and went to the same school. If you watched the original airing, there was almost 2 years between those episodes. The courage of the writers to put things in that might not be revealed or made clear until later seasons is one thing that I think makes this show so special. It provides such a layered entertainment factor, where you can definitely enjoy and understand things on a first watch, but you can also pick up stuff on rewatches that creates a whole other level of enjoyment. It's brilliant.

Katie

She explains why at the beginning of the video, and then again at the end. 4x19 spoils the season 4 finale so she's watching it after and before season 5

Toasty Overlord

Thanks for that Katie. I thought maybe she had but as I said I'm well behind on the show. Its been so long since I've watched the show I couldn't remember what happened. It does seem strange that they would do that, but storytelling I guess.

Finally I can leave this comment: Lincoln staying on the other side it is something that the producers have been preparing for a long time...in the episode S04-E011 "Making Angels" at 19:00 m (The one about the STA agent killing people to become a saint with the 2 Astrids working together) when the 2 Olivias were going through the list of suspects together, Fauxlivia and Olivia had this conversation: Fauxlivia:-"Secretary's son uh!, I bet he's cute and tricky, like his dad" Olivia:-"Yeah, I imagine that he's just your type" Fauxlivia:-"Actually no, it turns out I like the nice guys" Then, in S04-E16 16:00m Peter and Lincoln are having a conversation in the car that goes like this: Peter:-"You wanna to talk about it, or we're gonna pretend that we already did?...Olivia" Lincoln:-"She's your Olivia...I get it; I mean, I don't really get it, How she can suddenly become this other version of herself... Different circumstances I might think that you were drugging her...doing something to her, but... I don't know if she told you this, but when I first met her, I'd lost my partner--Rony, He and his wife, Julie--They had this incredible relationship. The way she looked at him...Olivia looks at you that same way...so why don't we just leave it at that?" Peter:-"You're a good guy" Lincoln:-"Yeah...I'm a good guy" Fauxlivia always had a very strong emotional connection with Captain Lincoln (who once kissed her when they first met) and it stands to reason she would have a similar one or better with Agent Lincoln too, because she likes the nice/good guys; but when Captain Lincoln died, Agent Lincoln and Fauxlivia suddenly were better suited than anybody else to play that role, for each other, that their alternate versions couldn't fulfill. On a separate note, Dakara: I noticed you crossing yourself, when they were about to turn the machine off. That goes to show how emotionally involve this shows gets us.

The thing that came outta the ground and explained September's POV went back into the ground after the message was relayed, so that's why they haven't mentioned it.

I love that Dakara called it a 'Time Bridge' - Because it is. The limits of our testable bounds of Physics defines this type of 'Bridge' as passage through 'Time,' similar to the Tardis, but at a lower fundamental understanding of potential fabrics between universes. General Relativity's limits, so to speak. TL;DR explanation: X,Y,Z positions can't get to another universe. This is another episode that has so many connections and emotions with meaning and massive complexity. As I've said before, nothing else is Buffy - but Fringe brings deep stories traversing universe level relationships - And it does it with a Chef's Kiss. (I've been away a few months with my own Fringe Story,, life can still beat fiction. ha)
