Hello All!

I AM NOT OKAY! I am a fragile mess right now... This is some cruel sick joke right?? It has to be... There's no way they separate Polivia from their child, reunite them after 21 years to kill her off??... Who would do that?!!!

Much love

Dakara x

Well, I cried :D Poor Etta. Completely gone. Erased just like Henry. (Although I gotta say that's a beautifully shot death scene. That lighting!)

PaulReacts

Nobody was prepared :)

DakaraJayne

You and me both! This one hurt but like you say, beautifully shot

Steve Mercier

We spend just five episodes with her--including 4x19--and it feels like the end of the world. This show is so fucking good. I'm going to watch this later. Too tired to cry right now.

Just a little thing you asked about near the beginning when, before going downstairs to that storage facility under the cabinet, Walter put mentholatum in/under his nose. It's just menthol, indicating that they're about to go someplace that smells really bad. It's used in morgues and such, when someone who's not used to the smell (after a bit of very strong smells, our olfactory senses shut down to minimize the smells so that you're not incapacitated by overwhelming smells). People who deal with dead bodies all the time, (morticians, coroners, etc.) are used to the smell and don't tend to need it much, but others who don't deal with it on a daily basis (cops, family members, etc.) can use the menthol under the nostrils so they don't get as nauseous.

After this episode, I thought that the plan must have to do with resetting time in some way, where it can go back to before the invasion and doing something that changes circumstances that the Observers never become the Invaders. Don't know what that can be. I was like, "There's NO WAY they're gonna take their daughter away from them permanently and how else are they gonna stop the Invaders if you don't take all of them out of the picture?" There's so many things and lives the Invaders have ruined that the only thing that makes sense to solve this is to reset, in some sort of way. I still have at least a couple of eps left in the season. I've been holding off 'til you, now, get caught up to me. 😁

Thadman

Aw man, you calling him "Windbreak" cracked me UP! Me, I tend to think of him as "Skidmark."

SaltyInternetPirate

Don't apologize for the tears. This show is meant to hit us in the feels. Well, I just noticed the MoreDakara youtube channel in your outro and went to check it out, but the last update was a year ago. You might want to consider removing it from the graphic.

DakaraJayne

It hit well and truly. Why remove it? Theres still content on there :)

Katie

I've always thought of skidmark when I hear 'windmark' too 🤣

Thadman

Yeah, I'm just telling what my thoughts were after seeing this ep. I don't know what's going to happen, so I'm not "revealing" anything. I thought about saying "Don't give away if I'm right 'cause I will get to it soon enough on my own" but I thought my saying that this is what I thought when I saw the episode was enough to head off any concerns of spoilers.

This was like Tara, but worse. Stop stabbing me in the heart you shows.

“You don’t know what it’s like, losing a child”, Walter to Olivia (ep. 2x16). I haven’t watched your reaction yet Dak because i really need to mentally prepare myself for this episode 😅 so without having it seen i’ll say that this is probably the darkest, lowest/most depressing point in the whole show but what they do with it i think is really fascinating, right now i’m sure you are at least partly asking yourself what the hell is the point of this season if they were just going to lose their daughter again? And the only thing i can say to that is trust in the show and the journey it’s taking you on, it will not disappoint. The imagery of Peter holding Etta as she is dying is truly haunting though and a very dark parallel to him holding Olivia after being shot in the finale of last season, someone in the universe really has it out for this man 😭😭, we’ll se how he’ll react to this…

Philip Fry

All I could think last episode, when Peter is telling Olivia to enjoy their family's second chance, was "I hate these writers." "You can't imagine what it's like to lose a child." Walter's line to Olivia at the end of 2x16 also cuts so much deeper after seeing this. The first time you see that episode, your heart breaks for what Walter went through. Every time after that, it breaks for what Walter went through AND the knowledge that Olivia and Peter are going to go through it too. Devastatingly brutal.

I finally managed to watch this reaction fully and boy this episode still hurts like nothing else and the primary reason why everyone who gets to this episode is so unprepared for Etta’s death is because in the few episodes we had with her the writers managed to make her feel like part of the core group of the show, almost like she had been there from the beginning, that plus the fact that she is Peter and Olivia’s daughter prevents people from believing they would ever do something like this but they did and as cruel as it may sound i like that they did becaus they not only raised the stakes for the season even more but they also made them much more personal to our group and specifically to the Bishop family and that final look from Peter…. you just know he is going to everything and anything it takes to accomplish this mission now, no matter the cost. Like i said in my first comment we are about enter one of the darkest/most depressing part of the whole show where our favourite characters will be tested to limit but i also think that it allows us to get closer to them like never before and i can’t wait for you experience it Dak! God the writers were so good in this episode at making you think that the main scare of the was in that initial scene with Peter and after that everything was going their way, they managed to not get caught in the lab, they killed like 20 loyalists/observers while getting the scroll and those bastards even threw in a (fantastic) Broyles reunion to sweeten the deal, all of that so you couldn’t see that ending coming. The fight between Etta and Windmark is so hard to watch but so well shot with her knowing that she can’t beat him hand to hand to she tries to distract him by letting him see those memories and then she activates the antimatter baton so her parents are forced to leave and save themselves, god she was such a badass in the truest sense of word. “The bullet that saved the world” is such perfect name for such peculiar totem that the Bishop family now carries around, don’t forget about that bullet because we’ll see it again 🥲 and the conversation between Etta and Olivia about it was so sweet 🥹. Ok ok enough about his episode because i’m starting to get emotional just writing about it. As usual Dak such a great reaction and i’m confident you’ll love what’s coming ahead just… prepare yourself emotionally 😭.
