Hello All!   

I am so sorry to say, I've been hit with a cold and very sick right now. Due to this I haven't filmed The X Files reaction for this week BUT luckily I do have the finale of The Expanse recorded. I can edit and post this in the Thursday slot if you like? Followed by a Gen V for Fridays slot. Let me know. I'm really sorry to miss an X Files upload though guys, I just cant record in the state that i'm in. Not had the best luck of late, if it's not builders, its health issues! Okay, onto the reaction!...

Get safe! I beg. Chrisjen is queen, as always but also a legit leader again now. Marco is continuing his manipulation with Filip and his hunger for power only grows. Drummer is being tested by her fellow belters and I'm sick of folk doubting her!! She deserves better!

Get well soon. Yes, I'd like to have the next episode of the Expanse reaction tomorrow. I'd watch it now if it was available. This episode was half Avasarala and Amos. The other half buildup for the finale. Can't wait.

Since you've already seen it, I guess it's too late to recommend watching the season finale end credits. They're different from the others and they show something possibly interesting at the end ;) Also, a reminder that season 6 has mini episodes (called One Ship) which fit in between the main episodes. You're meant to watch them AFTER each corresponding episode. Amazon calls them X-Ray's. I think it was a strange way for them to do it, but it is what it is lol.

Don't worry about a double drop, just get some rest. You need to take care of yourself, so that you can take care of Greyson. Drummer is not stupid. She knows that the new mission will not end well; the question is for whom. Drummer's girlfriend is a very insecure sort. She's in constant need of assurance, the sort who will try to go from one day to another without incident. Drummer makes that difficult though, and the woman will need to make a choice. Avasurala will become the new head of the UN. Choosing that commander to serve with her was a good move. Despite his flaws he's an honest person, and those are very hard to come by. The shuttle escape was very tense. I was confident that they would get away without major losses. Yes the very rich do have keep a staff at the homes they're not using, mostly to keep the property maintained. Not sure what Naomi has planned, but it has something to do with the clanking that we heard at the end. BTW: Any message from Avasurala would take approx 10-20 min to reach the Razorback.

That shootout escape with Amos and Peaches is some of the most exhilarating television I've ever watched. This reaction would've been a mess if anything had happened to Amos. Lol. And oh boy! Is this the week we finally get the double? Either way, the finale next week would still be great too. Thanks for getting stuff up even if you're not at your best. The best of health to you Dak.

Like a kid on Christmas Eve waiting to open all the presents the next morning ... that's how I feel right now about your 5x10 reaction. I just wanna say how much I enjoy your reactions. Each reactor seems to bring with them something special to their analysis. Many are more plot driven, others are more hard sci-fi heavy, but yours seem so full of thematic and emotional context which transcends into thoughtful dialogue about how those themes relate to our lives - present day. Your commentary is so natural, so free flowing and incitful, yet so relatable and poignant as well. And I just wanted to say THANK YOU for all that you bring to the table for us to enjoy.

I'm sorry you are unwell, Dakara, and I hope you will be better soon. I'm always happy to see a new upload, but there is no need to stress yourself. It isn't very well explained in this season of the show, but Drummer's relationship with her crew is that of a polyamorous family. They are in effect each other's husbands and wives. They have obligations towards each other that go with that relationship. Oksana is not just a clingy girlfriend - she has the right to expect that Drummer will prioritise her and their family over others. Oksana is not close to Karal - she is terrified of her. Karal is there to keep Drummer and her crew in line and to report any deviation back to Marco. Marco is holding Drummer's crew/family member Serge hostage - if anything happens to Karal then Serge will be spaced, which is why Oksana relieved Drummer of her gun.

That was so well done, wasn't it? We're used to seeing epic space battles, so it was impressive to see that they can ratchet up the tension just as well on Earth.

I hated Oksana from the first conversation she had with Drummer. She's a narcissist and tried to manipulate Drummer into submission to Marco. She's been manipulating Drummer this entire time. Definition of a toxic relationship. 3rd most hated character on the show for me.

P.S. Naomi did have a line in this episode. She said "You asshole!" referring to the fact that Alex and Bobbi were still flying towards her. Lol.

I've always felt that people tend to judge Oksana way too harshly and that's because we all love Drummer so much that I get it. Something not said much, if at all, on the show but others have mentioned from the books is Belter culture. The ship and crew you fly with are your family and they're polyamorous. It's why you see them all sleeping together. Oksana sees that Drummer is treating Naomi (who is not even part of their family) as though she is more important than the lives of those in her family that she has now and she wants to know if that is the case. Drummer doesn't want to say because the answer is yes and she proves it by making the decision that would lead to, at least, one of their deaths in order to help Naomi. That said to Oksana that Drummer viewed them as expendable, compared to Naomi. They're very, sort of, Communistic in that they believe in working for and benefitting the whole. In this case, Drummer put one person above the rest. I'm not saying Drummer was wrong, but in Belter community, it makes them unable to trust her decisions. This is not our general culture so we tend to judge Oksana (and Drummer) on our values. I feel the show could've explained it a bit better (I only understood that situation better after someone who read the books explained the culture and why things went down that way), but the show doesn't really hold your hand and for the most part, that's a good thing, but sometimes details and nuance to meaning are left out and not explained, as it would be in the book(s).

When you said, at the beginning something like, "Don't these rich people have security?" I was like, "No one is rich enough to have enough security for the end of the world." Don't even know if the security (or the rich owners) are still alive, but if the security is alive, they're definitely going to be looking out for themselves and, like these guys, use their guns to start taking other peoples' stuff. ...and it may not be the actual end of the world, but to the people on the ground, it feels that way. At this point, no one can say for sure, so people are just trying to stay alive, making the same decision Amos did when he went to take that hermit's stuff.

Why were the winter staff in the hanger? They said that they saw the hovercraft and it didn't say UN, so they thought they'd be looters and would go for the house, so they left the house and hid in the hanger, hoping they'd go away. They didn't say ALL of that, but did say that they saw the non-UN vehicle and thought whoever it was would go for the valuables in the house. I just filled in the blanks.

I remember at the time of airing there were a lot of reactors that were mad at and shitting on Clarissa (Peaches) because she doesn't want any more people to die, as she said, for no reason. She believes that we don't have to kill those aren't in our tribe, we can grow the tribe and be stronger. There were a lot of reactors saying she was an idiot.

Drummer wants to kill Marco, not for the bigger picture of stopping the war, but because he killed Ashford and she thought Naomi also. It is completely personal for her. Oksana wanted to take her gun because of "Drummer's famous temper" and she was concerned Drummer would do something out of anger without thinking of the consequences down the line to all of them. Drummer backed down earlier because all the leverage is on Marco's side and as much as it would feel good to kill Marco's "tribute" on the ship, it would doom them all.
