Hello All!   This episode...THIS episode...my heart hurts...I convinced myself Naomi was no more, I should have been more prepared and protective of others! Alex, I love you. The writers have crippled me. AGAIN. Drummer is bae and I need to know shes okay!! The reunion of everyone was amazing to see but the war is very much continuing and the team has a LOT to think about!! Season 6 is gonna be insane isnt it?! I already can't wait!!! I just need to clear my desk of all these tissues...BRB...

You're right, Dak, this is ALL your fault. You kept your eye off the ball ("the ball" being Alex). Also, Season 6, insane? I don't know what you mean. It's a season...like any other.😁

OMG she actually did it! Now I feel bad... we didn't ask for the double episode but still. PLEASE REST now. Make someone make you some good soup. Thanks. (I'm absolutely not going to think about how near the e.... NOPE!!) This show is SOOO Re-watchable. In a lot of ways the re-watch is Better. Not only do you get to pick up on so so many things that seemed unrelated to the story the 1st time... You get to Enjoy the main story again with a bit less gut wrenching emotion. Which allows you to focus on the deeper layers of the story more thoroughly.

In a perfect world fictional characters would not have to pay for the things people in our world do. I still haven't read the books. SO I don't know how it was originally Yet. (No spoilers please I'm most excited to read these books. And I'm not a reader so it's rare)

You are always running out of tissues! And you really needed them in this episode. Now that it's out of the way, get...some...REST! Please. I knew that Naomi was up to something, brilliant escape. I also knew that Drummer was going to defect, and that her girlfriend would have to make a choice. There was too much happening here for a real breakdown, but my favorite part was Amos bringing Clarissa onboard. The look on Holdens face said it all. The ending was interesting, I have a feeling that someone, or something, is not happy with how this is turning out.

Brilliant reaction!!! this was definitely a bittersweet one, sucks about Alex, but when Bobby saved Naomi!!! can’t wait to see your reaction to the answers to the questions. You’ve asked. season six is also amazing!!!

It didn't make sense for Josep to go. He was the one who fired on the other ships attacking the Roci while Oksana tried to stop him.

Dakara, I can assure you, all the emotions you went through this (and all the previous) episodes -- we all went through on our first watch, and we again went through watching your reactions. Not to mention your post-ep discussions which are just superb...

"I don't think I'm going to be prepared for this!" Don't worry, NOBODY ends up prepared for the amount of insanity that came with this finale. Even though at this point we all knew the show can be crazy it still had a way to one up everything and STILL shock you! Not sure if you realized it later but Drummer was not given her gun back, she disarmed Karal by surprise. Also, at 15:01 I love the little details here! On the screen it shows that "The Kato" that Drummer fired on was wiping out her salvo which leads to the small but yet great facial expression by Cara Gee at 15:03 of "Oh Shit" as she recognizes that her betrayal is about to fail. Thankfully the Roci comes through to finish the Kato off with a railgun shot before taking on the Frigate!

I love the character of Alex so much. You know that one person in a friends group who holds everything together? Without whom everyone would just drift apart? Or that unassuming member of some sports team, who isn't the star player, nor the most flashy, but whose absence would lead to disjointment and chaos? That's Alex. He was the heart of our Roci family. The ship's mom. The glue that bound their little universe together. Infectious warmth, positivity and loyalty. You're only truly hit with how much they're needed when they're gone. R.I.P buddy, you were one of the good ones.

The books are great, they add a lot of depth to many characters and the universe. One tip I'd give you is to not be too stuck on the names of some of the important side characters. The show sometimes compresses multiple characters from the books into one individual or changes exactly which role a person plays. So don't assume reading a name, you exactly know what role that person will play.

Anybody who has watched this show thru Season 5 is just as invested in it as you. It's impossible not to be. Because it's just THAT good. What I'm saying is, you never need to feel embarrassment for showing your emotions to us. Because we ALL have been right there where u are. Call it an "EXPANSE Rite Of Passage". Hell, I've seen this episode at least half dozen times, and it STILL doesn't fail to get the waterworks goin. That's what good entertainment does. It makes you feel as though you are just as much a part of something as the characters you're watching. And The Expanse is truly a master class in exactly that. So hold your head up high, young lady. You are in the company of those who completely and wholeheartedly understand how you feel. 😊🫶

The showrunners had to deal with the situation that Cas Anvar put them in, but there is no denying that Alex is a wonderful character and he played him very well.

Beautiful reaction to a great season finale. Everyone on the cast and crew crushed it this season. Cara Gee as Drummer was an absolute revelation to me in this show. As for season 6, I don't know if it's been mentioned yet but there are bonus scenes after every episode called x-rays that are well worth watching and reacting to.

AC10: the books are totally worth your time! Just as rereadable as the show is rewatchable. So much detail to be added! I am rereading book 5 just now and loving it all over again! My favorite is book 8 Tiamat's Wrath and that is with all the amazing story we have already seen!

I would add that we all knew something had to be done with Alex as we neared the end of S5 due to the misbehavior of the actor (which broke my heart because I loved the character so much!). We just didn't know what the plan would be until this episode. It hits super hard and worth the tears. I cried right along with you girl!! On a separate note, the space battle between the Roci and the 5 Inaros ships is very complicated so I am enclosing the link to Spacedock's explanation of this battle (and the one at the ring afterwards). It's actually hard to tell exactly where the Roci starts hitting the Koto because it's immediately after they finish taking out all the missles and it's easy to confuse railgun hits for missle or debris damage or something

I know I haven't commented much recently, but rest assured that these reactions are still a highlight of my week and I'm loving every minute of them! I've only ever binged my way through this season in the past, and it always felt to me like it dragged a bit in places, but watching these weekly installments have made it seem much better paced and I've enjoyed it a lot more. The visuals and the score have been stunning, even within the high standards of this show! Naomi has really been through it this season. That whole sequence where she threw herself into space was intense, and the message she recorded for Holden was beautiful. I loved your reaction to it all, but I think you know that we're all here for the tears! Only six more episodes to go (yikes!), better strap yourself in for the ride!

Dak, I don't know who made fun of you for crying at watching things, but they messed you up. No one here makes fun of you for crying at sad (nor happy) things in shows. That's what they were made to do. When you are moved to tears from watching something, be happy that all the people that worked on the project are happy that they moved you because they tried so hard to do so.

Ooooooooooo so just like the Harry Potter Books Then?!?!?!?! Omg reading them for the first time after years of watching the movies an insane amount of times was one of the greatest experiences. It was like going back in time and learning my favorite story first time again!!! Now I'm really excited! Thanks.

@Etta Eskridge Thank you. I keep looking up the set of books to buy... As much as I kinda want the hardcovers just for keepsake sake... I think I'm going to get the softcover. Cheaper and I'm told easier/more comfortable to read practically speaking. I'm excited. I just need to do it and place the order already. Kinda wish I had them for this hurricane weather coming through this week. I might break open my Harry Potter books and read them. I've only read them digitally before. Thanks.
