Hello All!

What an episode! I felt for Fox in this one, he just wanted to believe so bad! It may have been justified on this occasion too. Duane Barry really sold his story, real or not HE believed it to be true...metal fragments check out too! Now he's after Scully - I can't even...Mulder you got this!! Can't wait to watch the next episode guys!

Much love

Jelly bean necktie getting a 6/10 is pretty shocking. I'd have rated it much higher on the terrible scale myself. Haha. With how the episode ended, I fully expect to see a third upload tomorrow. 🙃

Haha I was lenient while it had a slight fun factor to it 😜 i agree though, terrible indeed. Honestly the way that ep ended i was DYING to watch...had to do a double for BSG though so sadly not this week

This is one of those times I wish Patreon supported Gifs. I would've made you proud. Lol. Yay BSG, and until next week for Mulder and Scully then!

FFs in chat for Duane Berry. What Mulder lacks in tie fashion he makes up for in speedos. And how did you like how you thought the episode was over, but then continues on for another 8 minutes to end with a triple twist cliffhanger and Scully being attacked? Duane Berry loves his dramatic timing. lol

Great reaction to a great episode. This was one of the few two part episodes that the show had. Mulder wanted to believe so badly; the idea that he was dealing with someone who may have been delusional never entered his mind. You can see that his faith in what he thinks is true has been badly shaken. As for the fragment that came out of Duane Barry, it might have been a piece of friendly fire he picked up in Vietnam. Air America carried in a number of munitions, it would not have been uncommon for something highly experimental to get misdirected, which would also explain the id number micro etched in it.(Yes, that kind of tech existed at the time, but it wasn't widely used.) I think I said something about Gillian Andersons Dana Scully getting the lions share of the wardrobe budget. She always looks like she just walked off the cover of a magazine.❤️ As for Mulder, you'll just have to dream about him in those red swimming trunks.🤣

This is a great top 20 episode/s IMO. The story was an emotional ride for Mulder's own reality. I was so frustrated that it was a two-parter. I wanted to watch the second part immediately, especially with Scully in peril. Also on the ties. David Duchovny did interviews where he was asked about the ties. He claimed that at his audition, he wore a tie with pink pigs flying, and that helped him stand out. So the showrunners thought it might be a good gag to carry through the series

I always remembered this episode sticking out because they said the title of it SO many times in it because Dwayne speaks about himself in the 3rd person, which always made me chuckle. It was the only thing I remembered clearly about the episode.😆 But, I did believe that Dwayne completely believed what was happening to him. I loved that they did check and found the implants that he said were there. I was always like, "Why didn't anyone check out his statements before? I mean, there WERE scars." I like how you were like, "Aw, this guy's a liar. Mulder wanted to believe him so much, but he's just making it uh...WHAAA?!? There WERE IMPLANTS??" 🤣 I actually was on the fence with Dwayne the whole time, not that he was lying, but that he might've just been delusional and we were seeing his delusion. But, just because he was potentially volatile, I didn't write off that the stuff still might've been happening to him. I thought Mulder put him in the line of fire because he thought, "Oh, he's going off the rails and I can't talk him down." But, like you said, he also thought that Dwayne wasn't telling the truth there. It was great to have hard evidence that Dwayne Barry (there's that full name again) was not lying (although I thought that it's still possible that he did that himself in his delusion) and then Scully finding that barcode that's too small for any technology we have to produce AND it made the register scanner go haywire, I said, "YES! I wanted to believe Dwayne and now I'm totally on board."
