Hello All!   

A new show has officially begun and its Battlestar Galactica ladies and gents! What a way to start it too! We have tensions set to 11 or should I say 33?! They havent slept in 5 days and every 33 minutes they have to jump...they did manage to escape the majority of the Cylons BUT we know theyre on the inside!! Gaias is still battling his inner and outer demons and if he's not careful when everyone catches up on their sleep, he's gonna look hella sussy!!

When it comes to the models of cylon, think of them like a car. The make is Toyota, the model is Corolla, but there are many Toyota Corollas driving around. So the make is Cylon, and the model is Sharon, or Six (Tricia), etc. So if that note is true, that means there are 12 models of human-looking cylons. But how many are driving around? This isn't a spoiler, by any means, just clarifying so you can truly dive into the paranoia, lol.

I love this episode. It's like the production team sat down and went "How can we make the most stressful episode of tv?" and just did that. For a first episode of a first season! I agree with everything you said about the President - her actress (Mary McDonnell) does an incredible job, just bringing so much presence to every scene she's in. Adama (Edward James Olmos) does the same, and I think I'd be pretty confident if I was living in a world led by those two.

Having to jump every 33 minutes for 5 days will start to wear on a persons mind. The writers captured everything perfectly. The knowledge that there can be no room for error as the minutes go by. All the actors show this so well. The whole experience is taking a toll on them, both mentally and physically. The Cylons are machines, so they don't need to rest, they can continue this for as long as it takes. Then there is the expenditure of resources; this is something that you said, there are no replacements. Once their parts and armaments are used up, they're gone for good! Destroying the civilian ship was a hard thig. but was necessary. They weren't in a position to take any chances. I remember how much I loved the relationship between Roslyn and Adama. You can clearly see how much they respect each other. The news of a birth was exactly the right way to end the episode, Everybody needed some good news. As for the Cylon synths(?), you will probably need to make a spreadsheet. There are 12 different models, Sharon, Tricia Helfers 6, and the two that were left at the resupply base. As for how many of each model? However many the situation calls for.

I can only imagine dak that the copies are copied from an original person so to me at least it would make sense the real human original would exist , hence two boomers right 🤔 a crazy episode though with some rough choices that had to be made . I did enjoy this one and it was definitely a good start , now for episode 2

Just as I was thinking Gaius reminded me of Dr. Bashir from Star Trek, you mention Gale from Baldur's Gate. And you know what? You're right. Gale is the only companion who kept hitting on me, attempting to get me to lay with him under the stars, even after I was deep into my relationship with Shadowheart. What a horndog haha. Gaius be using his 33 minutes the same.

Comparing Gaius to Gale from BG3. Is it the hair? Because Gale is a sweet cinnamon roll of a man 😜 This was the first episode I ever watched way back when, as I had no idea there was a miniseries. To say I was immediately hooked is an understatement. This show really knows how to ratchet up the tension!

The hair, the accent, the need to find him sweet and amusing even if he can be a liability 😅😂 I cant help but visualise Gaius in BG3 haha. He really does have the voice for it!

Haha, I get it! Gale’s my favorite companion from BG3 and Gaius … well, love him or hate him, he’s certainly compelling!

I really love that you mentioned the conversation between Lee and Kara because the actress Katee Sackhoff who plays Kara said their laughing wasn't scripted, but they continued on with the scene instead of completely breaking, and the producers ended up leaving the laugh in and it really made for a very genuine scene between these two characters.
