Hello All!

A new crew arrives on board and suddenly everything is turned upside down. New leadership, new rules, new tensions! Cylons are being abused, positions are being taken over and loyalties are being limit tested! Wild extended episode and I cant wait to see the next one...to be continued indeed!

Happy weekend everyone!

Much love

Dakara x

Just started watching, I’m glad you watched the extended edition episode. I’ll be back to comment after the episode.

It's interesting to make the comparisons between Cain & Adama and their officers - seeing Cain as this cold authority figure, because in my mind that's where Adama was once. Going all the way back to the miniseries, when Adama was so determined to leave the civilian fleet and go fight the cylons... How hard it was to get him to jump away and leave the war behind, and all the things that have happened to him and the fleet since that have really left their mark on him and his attitude. I can't help but look at Cain and think "There but for the grace of the writers go our guys". Also, right at the end of the episode when they're all lining up for the big showdown - Cain's team of officers are all looking nervously at each other. Adama's team doesn't hesitate for a second to follow his orders even though they've got to be feeling just as worried about where this is all heading.

So mixed feelings about the new Battlestar. Pegasus is a newer generation than Galactica, Mercury class Adama said, and does seem to have a more battle capable design. Admiral Cain is a martinet. Granted, surviving the initial sneak attack would have messed with her head. They've been living without hope that there will ever be a tomorrow for humanity, just taking down Cylons as they can. They're not really alive, just going through the motions. Galactica, though, has been doing their best to stay living. They face similar hardships, but still have hope that things will workout. Tomorrow will be different. Unlike the me and women aboard the Pegasus, they are not figurative machines. A bright spot is the Pegasus deck chief; he seems to be a pretty descent sort. He even apologized for being the guy that Pegasus was sending over to take command of the flight deck.

Welcome to the "Maybe the Cylons were right" story. Notice how she blames Prisoner Six for killing 800 of "her men" but does not mention the original attack nor the lives lost then. Admiral Cain is on a revenge mission and taking her whole crew with her. Its an interesting look into what could have happened if Roslyn didn't convince Adama to run.

The movie Razor is the story of the BS Pegasus. It will answer a lot of questions.

Definitely not a fan of the Pegasus crew , admiral Cain sucks and to think I love her as ensign ro in star trek . You probably recognise her from one of the hunger games movies dak 👍. As always boltar was awkward and amusing as he often is . That friggin guy beating up and much much worse on Sharon was the worst , I don't care who you are and who they are that's something that's so wrong and I'm glad he was killed . That was awful to watch . To be continued frig frig frig nooooooo ! ! Team galactic Pegasus can go back down the garbage shoot they came from . Anyways maybe things will change in part 2 but I won't hold my breath . Cheers dak for a great reaction 🔥✨
