Hello All!

Mulder's mother is in grave danger, she has the information that others want kept hidden. She can only supress so much! Big episode for plot development this one. Smoking man, Mr X, their colleagues, Mulder and Scully - you always have to think about the trail!! (10 points for anyone that knows the reference) It's all going on!!

"Monogamy is too cruel a rule." Man, it's too bad you already saw Friends, because that would be great reaction territory for you. 😏

Robert

It's got to be horrible for a child to find out that one or both of their parents had a secret life that the kids never knew about. I think we need a spreadsheet to keep track of who can be trusted. Everyone seems to have an agenda. I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Be sure to get some rest and plenty to drink. The heat is probably wearing you out.

Joe Villalobos

I hope Im not ruining the plot for you. Still, just like the Samantha "sisters" and the Gregors from "The Colony" episode are all alien/human hybrids created by the Syndicate ( the group that The Smoking Man works for), and the "bounty" hunter is an actual pure shapeshifting alien, who the aliens use to quell the Syndicate's experiments. And Jeremiah Smith, we shall see in the following season, seems like he's a shapeshifter as well.

Jason

I love watching the X-Files again with you, and soon we will be going Home together.

Can't believe that's three seasons down already! A little less than a year ago, I recall being between flights at an airport, and seeing the ping of your 1x2 upload light up my phone. Where has the time gone? So excited to get into the next season. It only gets better.

Jason

You will never be the same

On watching this show again I realise how brilliant it was. It really set the bar for many to follow. This episode was actually co-written by David Duchovny himself. A tense start here with the shooter terrorising the restaurant, and shooting three people, himself getting shot as well. We have the mysterious man with healing powers eradicate the gunshot wounds and just disappear. We have the abominable CM again confront Mulder's mother and then he gets the news his mother has had a stroke. As Mulder looks through the VHS tape we see the man just disappear but another man there in same clothing. CM and his goons arrive in the data centre where the man works, and we see him strapped like Hannibal Lecter in a detention facility. We see 'X' appear at Mulder's house saying CM was there. Mulder is shocked that 'X' has the photos and made the call to 911. When Scully sees Jeremiah Smith in the FBI building she is shocked, and this man gives the interview. Mulder back at the old house looking for answers. The word 'Palm' again, anagram for lamp. Mulder smashes the lamp and finds the device, that is similar to the alien bounty hunter had in Colony episode from S2. CM berates the man held captive, and tells him that people are irrelevant, then he morphs into Deep Throat from S1. When Mulder confronts Skinner over CM's name he says he cannot give it. Mulder and Scully lose Smith as he shape shifts again. Smith confronts CM and says he is afraid of him, again this time Mulder's father appears to him and Smith tells him he is dying of lung cancer. Great scene when we see the Alien Bounty Hunter ( yes the same actor that played Luke and The Judge in Buffy The Vampire Slayer) appear again outside the detention centre. We get great satisfaction when Mulder grabs CM in the hospital after Mulder has the touching scene with his mother. CM says it was Mulder's mother that contacted him. 'X' again appears from nowhere to get the alien weapon off Mulder and he warns him they will kill him for it. 'X' and Mulder in a tense fight in the car park, then a Mexican Standoff. When Smith arrives at Scully's apartment we are not sure if it is really him. Just who is the real Smith is it an impostor or not. He says he has info about the 'Project' and Samantha as well. When the alien bounty hunter turns up with the weapon again he says he is here to kill me, then we are left hanging for the next brilliant episode, the stunning opener of S4. Dakara we know you love 'TO BE CONTINUED'
