BIG episode, that dirty 'To be Continued' smacked me in the face at the end haha. Great to see Starbuck reunited with Anders, Feeling for Sharon more and more, Gaius and Roslin having a stand off, a firm talking priest has shown up to help chief and a war on Caprica has struck!

Great reaction. Roselyn being barefoot and tearing her speech as she went along might have been confusing, but you would be amazed at some of the rituals or superstitions that some people have when it comes to performing. Nervous laughter is actually pretty common. Public speaking is very frightening to a lot of people. Chief Tyrell being startled when he was woken up by Callie is understandable, but his reaction was extreme. That he was having a nightmare about killing himself would explain it very well. Also him being a Cylon is something that he probably has been thinking about for awhile. The priest has an odd personality for the job, but it seemed to be the right personality. He said all the things the chief needed to hear, and helped him get to the root of his problem; solid A for achievement, F for delivery The rescue mission to Caprica has been too long in the coming. That they would lose ships along the way would have been an acceptable risk. That one would have entered the orbit of a planet that may prove suitable for some colonization was surprising, not outside the realm of probability, but still a surprise. The other ship would have been less lucky. Even if it entered a void in the mountain, a crash would have been beyond catastrophic.

This episode does a great job setting up the events for this two-parter. The tension, slow build and showing people on the edge of their breaking point. Just so well done.

You're not an idiot! Plenty of reactors get the cylon model #s wrong for a while. Thinking that beyond this point would just be hella confusing lol

I really love your reactions Dakara! Your whole thing about Sharon and how she STILL has to prove herself and getting the evil eye while people think the cylons are just the enemy - very true! Everything still comes back to Adama's speech in the miniseries. I honestly would encourage you to listen to it again in private, so many things are said during that speech that resonate up to this point. (To me, it has a Frankenstein and his Monster kind of dynamic: Frankenstein (aka humans here) who created the Monster (aka Cylons). Frankenstein famously ran away from his monster because he was terrified, instead of taking responsibility for his own creation. Just like the humans did here when they created the Cylons. (My 2 cents))
