Hello All!

Nooooo, I'm not okay, Scully NEEDS to work through this in a speedy and successful manner! Hybrids have returned and the reveal of why the women have been abducted and used in the making of said hybrids! Mulder's focus on getting to the bottom of this gives me hope and life!

Much love

I thought this was definitely a top 20 from the whole show. Scully has some type of cancer it looks like she may die, as many of the other abductees seem to to have had the same cancer as Scully and have died. Mulder needs to find some kind of cure and fast, and with the help of The Lone Gunmen he tries to do just that. The reaction of Scully's mother is understandable after the loss of Melissa also. Mulder comes across The Clones again in the research lab and we then see all the names of the abductees. Penny dies while being comforted by Scully, and great acting in Mulder's arms when she says she will fight to carry on, and as Mulder calls Skinner we see Smoking Man's arrogance putting his cigarette out in the cup saying to Skinner there is a way if a price is paid to save her. Again as was said before even though this is a supernatural show, it is still very 'human' in its continuing thread all have that pain and anguish they have to carry through life. Mulder with the abduction of Samantha, Scully with her own abduction and illness, Scully's mother with the loss of her husband and daughter, Skinner with his trauma from Vietnam etc. Wonderful atmospheric tone to this one in cinematography, lighting and transitions, especially the scene when Sully takes down the X-Ray and it cuts to Skinner's office when he is being handed the file. Another top tier episode.

This is one of those introspective episodes. Scully has the right attitude, fight and fight hard. My mother and sister in law had cancer. My mother was lucky, hers was not as aggressive as it could have been. Plus she was made from tough stock. My sister in law wasn't so lucky. I remember it; she seemed fine, and then her body just ....

Loved your reaction. Memento Mori has such strong performances and subplots, from Skinner being a real one and taking the metaphorical bullet for Mulder with CSM, to Scully's mom's sadness, disappointment, and frustration. "You're my only daughter left" was painful to hear. Then Mulder's belief and reassurance that Scully will be fine fueled to leave no stone unturned. A top-tier arc episode, but as you stated, it combined the sci-fi with very relatable emotions and circumstances. Chef's kiss to the writers. Also, the Mulder/Scully hand‑holding moment is one of the most quietly devastating beats in the entire series. Followed by the sweet tenderness they share in the hallway.

Love your reaction!

How many Dakara hybrids are there taking turns doing these great reaction videos?

PongPong31

Dak, "I hope they address Scully's condition soon" *They address the condition* Also Dak,"I don't want this!" I live for your reactions to those tender, compassionate moments between the two, and how your eyes 👀 everytime you think something more is going to come out of those. Lol never change.

sorry for your loss Robert. Cancer is a tricky beast. Amazed and impressed when folk can beat it, saddened when they lose the fight.

Robert

Thanks. She died some 15 or 16 years ago. So it surprised me that it hit me so hard. We weren't particularly close either. Not distant, just cordial.
