Rating - 9.5/10 - That ending!!!! WHhaaaaattt??? Michael!Dean I just cannot even! I am so mad at myself for not calling this before it happened!!! I should have knooooown! Some great scenes in this. Sam saving Jack & Garth, Ketch making a humorous appearance, Cas fighting Michael, Dean being taken over - Awesome mid season finale!

I love how this was written; as you said, it felt slow for a season finale. It was neatly crafted to lull the viewer as we were led into the trap along with TFW. And I was freaking out when it all came crashing down. We have seen Dean defeated over the years but knowing he revealed how he was drowning in his body before with Michael at the wheel, I was sick worrying how this second defeat would affect Dean. When Michael said he was gone... and they seemed to have already scraped together and lost their only weapons that might beat the sonofabitch you have to wonder what the hell is left? Sam's face pretty much said it all. And Cas, I went cold realizing when they get Dean back, (because they HAVE to, right?) that may well be his happiest! Yeah, I pretty much lost my mind at the end of this episode😱

I also love the performance of actress Felisha Terrell as AltUnivMichael. But I most remember about the break after this mid season finale, is people trying to guess what the snap meant at the end of the episode. Most people were imagining something wild and crazy like the Thanos snap. However, in seeing previews for the next episode Michael was back in his suit, so at least for me it became more obvious the snap was mainly to change his clothes. I enjoyed this episode and the next one is a cracker. One of my favorites.

William Lawrence

I don't see what you are seeing when it comes to Jared, I think his acting has went downhill lol.

Amye Sabin

So we've got two evil Archangel Michaels on shows you're watching. I'm not sure which is worse, after watching Lucifer 5B

DakaraJayne

Omg now I’m thinking about Cas being at his happiest and the empty stepping in!! Why Elysia, my heart lol. Was a great finish to the episode! I’m getting so so nervous about getting closer to the end of Supernatural!! Hold me!!

DakaraJayne

She was great! It’s funny what people speculate. I remember what it was like with lost girl week to week of people wondering and dissecting every little bit of info of the promo photos etc. So much fun. I’m sure you all had a blast with this when it was airing. Sadly doing what I do it’s always best to stay clear of all promos. Thanks for watching as always ADSP :)

DakaraJayne

Really? That surprises me. I remember him from Gilmore girls and the improvement is very clear.

William Lawrence

The last time I remember liking Jared/Sam was the trials. I feel like he only has the one face nowadays. The raised eyebrows, shocked/whatisgoingon face.

Ryan Butler

This is so weird! The last time I saw this episode was in Afghanistan! I had do download a VPN as Afghan internet does not allow for Western content.

Robevania Siqueira da Silva

I remember that I asked the same questions you did when Mickael left Dean, but I only thought that Michael was connected to Dean and maybe using him that episode when Dean has the blur vision. I remember when I first watched this ep I thought the same thing about the actress that plays Michael, she did a great job and I absolutely see what you see about Jared acting he is amazing specially in these last seasons. I also think the episode was a bit slow but that end made up for it. Something that I didn't buy though was dark Kaia giving up her spear because she wanted to go back to the bad place to protect someone. Didn't she came to our world to kill Claire? I don't know, I didn't buy the explanation of her reasons to let go of her spear.

First of all, love that dean & cas are wearing matching colors. This conversation: [ Cas and Dean exit Baby ] Castiel: You seem good lately. Happy, even. [ Dean is getting gear from back seat ] You -- We have a broken tape deck, we drove this whole way without music, and you did not complain once. Dean: [ Closes car door ] You know, I guess I'm just fired up. I mean, look. We got -- We got Jack back. When was the last time we had a big, no-strings-attached win like that? Cas's look when dean said that 😬, dean thinks they got jack back for no price coz he doesn't know about the deal 😬. Castiel to jack: You know, the Empty said that it wouldn't come for me until I had finally given myself permission to be happy, but with everything we have going on, with -- with Michael still out there, I don't see that happening anytime soon. This life may be a lot of things, but it's rarely happy. Paaaaaaaaaain

Michele

I was someone who was actually happy that we got more Michael!Dean! I had a tentative idea that something like that would happen, but thought it was just wishful thinking. So, I was ready to see what would happen now. I agree about Dark Kai - why not have her come with them? She's already shown that she can best Michael with the spear. And about that spear. I think it's the spear we've seen before. In a previous season. I'll have to look back through things to get the details though, but we've seen it. The one on this world was destroyed too. It was used against Cas and almost killed him. Crowley saved him by destroying the spear.

Josee (Griffe)

I liked Jared a lot in Gilmore Girls, but it is true that his acting improved with time. The problem here, in my opinion, is not his acting, but the very few things the writers unthrust the character to do.

Arushi

This ep is so powerful in reinforcing what we already know, how strong the bond is between the bros and instantly going inside Dean's brain, Sam knew where Micheal could possible hide him. He even knew how to snap him out of it- their code language stays strong!! For me, this strengthened the idea that Dean has brought several people back to their selves from possession, mind traps - Mary, Cas, Bobby and ofc Sam in the infamous swan song scene. But everytime they had to bring Dean back, Sam could do it- s9, s10 and now when trapped in mind- even then. The next 5 episodes will be so much fun, I cant wait to see your reactions🥰

DakaraJayne

I cannot wait for 5b of Lucifer!!! Without seeing 5b, i'd say 100% this Dean!Michael is hard to watch & Michael is CRUEL!!!

DakaraJayne

Cray cray, love how it brings back memories for you <3

DakaraJayne

Yes, reading this comment live on twitch right now & I feel as though chat has explained the blur vision well to me. The 'door' Michael opens to see through Dean's eyes. I never understood why she wanted to keep hold of the spear if it causes her so much harm. Like Michele mentioned on chat, she could have gone with them to fight. I agree with you though, it all was a little odd. Thanks for watching :)

DakaraJayne

Pain is correct! It genuinely hurts my heart & you reminding me of the deal OUCH why you gonna play me like that hahaha. Love ya x

DakaraJayne

Amazing comment! Couldn't agree more! Got chills when reading this - the boys are just on another level. Thank you so much for watching & I hope you enjoy more videos to come <3

Susan Sebert

Hated to see Michael come back into Dean, but I did have a feeling something was not right with Dean, but thought more PTSD. How are they going to get Michael out of Dean, and now all these monsters that can't be killed as they were before.

Arushi

Oh yaaay you saw my comment!! And sadly the one I commented on wrong reaction lol- this was supposed to be on 14*10 haha. I often wasnt sure if you read them but commented regardless haha. I am so psyched for you to watch the next few and eventually the series finale 🥰

Ed Green

I don't think anyone has mentioned this here yet but this version of Ode to Joy playing while they were walking in the garage is a reference to its use during a similar moment in Die Hard, which is also a Christmas-themed film set in a big city tower block with a name ending in '-tomi Plaza'.

Venice Bitch

LOVED IT SO MUCH!!!! Was so happy to see Garth again. Michael’s new Vessel did a really good job. Dean’s headaches and blurry vision was always Michael. I knew that Michael did something to Dean to still have control over him. I ALSO WANNA KNOW WHY DARK KAIA DIDN’T GO WITH THEM!!!!!! It’s her spear and she knows all the techniques so whyyy?? but anyways I knew that it’s not gonna work…
