Dakara, I would rather a year-long summer (but only if it is a British summer without many hot days! Otherwise, it would have to be winter...) I liked how we were tricked, about 3 seasons ago, to automatically think that Lucifer's mojo not working on Chloe and Lucifer being vulnerable around Chloe must be for the same reason. In this episode we get answers, BOTH of them, and it's a really well constructed situation. I had thought, for a while now, that God putting Chloe in Lucifer's path is not a sign of his hate for Lucifer, but a sign of his LOVE for Lucifer - after all, he ensured that there will be that one special person that will be with Lucifer because they want to, not because they are compelled... And another thing I liked in this episode: after Linda's initial admission about leaving her daughter, Maze storms out - and then proceeds to use her bounty-hunting skills to track down Adriana so she can tell Linda where she is. Good to see that when Maze's walls came crumbling down, Linda was there to hug and comfort her.

I love this ep! Amenediel was the mvp, I'm so glad we got to see him shine this episode and see his and Chloe's friendship which is so underrated! I loved seeing him help solve the case and help chloe realize that her and lucifers feelings and relationship are real. I always love to see Lucifer and dans friendship "Bracelet bros for the win!" I love all their scenes together. You can really see lucifers' growth this episode. He is generally a selfish person and self absorbed but you can see how much he cares about Chloe by not pushing her and telling her to take as much time as she needed, I'm so proud of him! Linda and maze breaking my heart this ep! I felt so bad for Linda finally telling her story and seeing her daughter for the first time. Maze does frustrate me sometimes but I always try and remember that she's a demon and these emotions don't come easy to her. As you said its hard enough dealing with emotions as a human lol. But they just don't give maze a break, her mom dying and her not being able to say anything, I just feel so bad for her. and finally!! Deckerstar is officially a couple! Its about time! They always have great scenes at the piano and their kiss was so precious, I love them!

'Maturity isn't Lucifer's jam' Ha ha ha have to agree but he did show growth and some maturity in this episode. I do expect it to slip again sometimes because we know although he is trying he is still a dork at times... but that one of the reasons we love his character and one of the ways we find the comedy in his story as well s the heart-ache! just as a moment of interest, Joe Henderson, showrunner and writer was asked in a fan Q&A to choose his favourite Deckerstar moment of season 5 and he chose that opening up and talking that lead to that kiss, tentative at first then more passionate as the two of them had come so far and that scene explained and expressed so much, answered some of our questions and brought the two of them together in that instance. I do think, knowing this show, that there will be many more ups and downs and problems for Deckerstar (of course) but they know now at least how they both feel about each other... despite what else the writers might like to throw at them! LOL

Hi Dakara The summer or winter question is fairly easy, in as much as we need warmth for food to grow. Interestingly there was a 2 and a half year winter in Ireland just over 300 years ago which brought terrible hardship for a great number of people. One of the points a more level headed Lucifer might have raised over the gift from god issue, was that even with Lucifer being in proximity, Chloe had the free will to choose to fall for Pierce/Cain. Something that post miracle reveal Lucifer was adamant that Chloe should have. Sorry to say I don't feel the same way about Amenadiel. Yes he has improved greatly, however the trail of destruction left behind him is extensive. From the deaths he was instrumental in during season 1 through to the number of times his ill conceived devotion to one parent or the other caused him to blindly talk Lucifer away from the positive changes he was achieving by his own efforts or through association with Chloe, including advancements in Deckerstar. That's how I perceive Amenadiel from the first 4 seasons. Maze on the other hand I have huge amounts of patience with and sympathy for, despite the times she has betrayed Lucifer. Why? Maybe partly because of the whole lack of a soul issue she is dealing with, that Lucifer has never taken into consideration . Just as he has constantly taken her for granted. In this episode we see the depth of growth she has gone through when she does her level best Maze to help her friend Linda deal with the guilt she feels over the abandonment of her first born child. And isn't Chloe lucky that God has decided that hell no longer needs a warden, otherwise her desire for time and space could well have left her alone, or at least without the love of her life, for eternity.

Loved the reaction yet again, Dakara. I found myself bored and watching your reaction brought me some comfort. I was watching through the part of the breakdown where you are wondering like how come Amenadiel was able to bring out the nuns faith in God, if that was his new gift instead of slowing down time. To summerise it, that isn't Amenadiel's new power. It is said by one of the nuns, or by Amenadiel, I can't remember who was it that said it right now; that the nun was able to feel her faith in God reciprocated to her through Amenadiel's precence. The nuns see life through the looking glass of religion, and Amenadiel is an Angel, so it naturally brings out that in them. I'd imagine that if any other Angel were to be in front of one of them nuns, the same would happen because they are Gods sons and daughters and naturally bring that out in people who base themselves in religion. That is the way I personally understand it at least, and I hope that it resonates with other people. I can understand that not everyone might share this point of view. Onto the next episode.

Man, I reallyyyy loved the Linda/Maze situation in this episode. I'm adopted, so I could hella relate to Maze's perspective. My sibling and I actually received word of family reaching out when we turned 18, and my sister chose to pursue a relationship with them. I flipped them off and tbh? I don't regret it. The whole point is that she deserves the option. They should show more of the negative side of reconnecting with people that abandoned you without making it so sob-story-like. Sometimes, them bitches deserve no response from the children they abandoned. But I do know there are situations like Linda's as well... still doesn't mean they deserve the opportunity to explain themselves if the kids ain't interested in being there only when theyyy need it.

I have so many problems with this question... 1 year summer sounds like absolute hell, the heat, the humidity... but a 1year winter also sounds awful. This is the hardest one for me....

I know I'm late to this party, but for me I'd absolutely choose year one winter. I deal with chronic illnesses and the heat is awful for them and just leave me feeling drained. I have pale skin that burns in the sun & soooo many bugs. No, I'm an indoor girl so winter sounds snug. Plus I don't mind driving in the dark. Even though I'm a summer/Cancer baby, I'm all for winter (& autumn/spring) over summer - I prefer to be cold than hot. With your question as to why Amenadiel can't slow time, it's more he doesn't want to. He spoke to Linda about it maybe a season or two ago & also with Remi in S4. How it kept him distant from humanity and in the beginning he was OK with that as he looked down on them, but as he's learnt from them & is more open to mingling with humans, he doesn't want to be distant anymore. So self-actualising his desire to be better connected to humanity by not being able to slow time. At least, that was my understanding, lol.
