Me, I am tone deaf - so could never play a violin. So, drums (which is a question of rhythm, not tone) it would have to be. FINALLY, the ship has sailed!!! After years of watching TV, I am so used to certain techniques of making an episode that as soon as Ella said "Decker, do you always answer your phone!?" I knew how the episode must end - Chloe NOT answering her phone... Poor Dan, and evil Michael.

Glad you spotted Lucifer still wearing Dan's bracelet. Showing him accepting the little bromance with Dan (despite Dan's recent discovery). Don't know if you went straight on to the next episode or not. All I'll say is that it's very noticeable he's still wearing it during the penthouse scene at the end of the next episode. 🤔

Another fav episode of mine!! So many great things about this ep! usually I hate the jealously ex storyline but it made sense for this episode, lucifer has never been in a real relationship so jealously is new to him and it was nice to see him deal with that and eventually just talking to Chloe. I loved seeing another ep where the girls are together and the guys are all together. I love Dan and Amenedials friendship, they are so underrated but they have such a beautiful friendship, I loved seeing them be there for each other. I loved seeing the guys babysit Charlie together and I absolutely thought it was amazing that lucifer's devil face was the only thing that would make Charlie start crying what a twist lol. I loved seeing Ella and mazes friendship this ep, they don't get many scenes together but I enjoyed them so much this ep, i love Linda finally getting a night out and just getting drunk and having fun lol. I loved all the girls outfits at the rave. Also Dan finally knows! I was not expecting this at all this season, I was so shocked when I first saw it. And finally!! Got to say waiting five years for that sex scene was so worth it lol. Its about damn time!!!! Tom and Lauren have such great chemistry and you can really see it in this episode. So excited for the next ep and ep 8 which is the midseason finale! 5a is one of my fav seasons!

Loved your reaction to every aspect of that episode. I was excited too to find out what repercussions of the 'devil' reveal might occur now that Dan knows. I always love the growing friendship between the four ladies and the Rave scene was really amusing. Chloe asking Linda about sex with Lucifer was so funny! The last scene when Deckerstar ship finally sails was so well done, I think, the hesitancy again at first and then giving in to their feelings for each other...that phone ringing AGAIN- always a running theme but this time she didn't answer- yes Chloe! I also loved how Luci stopped kissing Chloe and offered her his hand... she took it- a beautifully simple gesture of consent. I also loved on re-watching that they never broke eye contact as they moved to Lucifer's bed. It was so well done and beautifully directed that like you, although we had waited 4 and half seasons for this, felt the chemistry (kudos to Tom and Lauren who have said that they knew they needed to do this scene justice-though I expect there were lots of laughs in rehearsals) I felt a little like a voyeur and thought maybe I should leave them in private! The next episode is amazing with so much in it of all that we have come to expect from Lucifer and then episode 8 is the mid season break but I know that if I hadn't, like so many been forced to wait 9 months for 5B, I would have gone straight on watching without a break- it is THAT GOOD! I hope you will think so too! What a pleasure for you to be able to go straight on without that gap. Chris Rafferty, one of the writers and Directors said that 5A and 5B should be seen as one complete season for much of what is set up in 5A is developed and explained in 5B. I love this Show and I love your reactions to it. I can't wait for more. BTW thank you again for the two cheeky uploads again. It is very very much appreciated. x

Well I love rock music that is drum heavy, however the violin would be my choice. Not because of the money, I have two cousins who are professional violinists and wealth is not a factor in their lives. Rather the Violin is a far more mobile instrument than a drum kit thus allowing you to take music where ever you want. This is an excellent episode but then most all of season five is well above the norm. Certainly, in my opinion, there isn't weak episode in the rest of the season, in fact they keep getting stronger. I think it says something for the strength of Chloe and Lucifer's love that an utter weasel like Jed could eventually see it and admit that they belonged together. Sadly much as Lucifer has struggled with emotional growth throughout the run of the show. Maze has gone from revelling in the live for the moment, because demons have no soul attitude she started with. To coming to terms with having friendships and the feelings that come with that, in much the same way humans have to grow emotionally. I don't remember witnessing a week performance from any of the cast. But the Deckerstar moment that closed this episode showed the incredible chemistry that has been evident between Tom and Lauren since Chloe Decker uttered the line. "Lucifer Morningstar, is that like a stage name or something?". Can't wait to see your reactions to what's coming, I know you're going to love it and hate it with equal measure.

Richard Speight directed this one - good job! The music on this show is the best and I love how it works in a scene. Not much to say, but I was glad the wait and tease was finally over. I was really getting tired of all the hurdles that were being put in the way of them finally connecting. I had forgotten that Dan really didn't know. But now he does. Poor dude.

One thing I find hard to believe is that, for all the times Chloe has seen Lucifer naked over the years, that her eyes never once dropped south of the border...she should have known it wasn't forked...instead of sounding a little disappointed.

AH I SAW RICHARD'S NAME! I was like, frick! Hells yiiii. Also, ooffff. Poor Dan. And Ella. And I love that Maze wasn't significantly hurt by her mother's death, but still was clearly trying to be a better being. I really hope she gets some more support from those that know she is 100% demon.

WYR: I would go with drums over Violin. Your comment at the start when you thought you put on Supernatural was funny considering this episode was directed by Richard Speight Jr (Trickster/Gabriel). When you were comparing Pete the reporter with Dr Zack Addy from Bones (I assume that's who you were referring to), I honestly couldn't see it. Also he didn't become a serial killer, he helped a serial killer, bit of a difference (I've been rewatching it since it was put on Disney+). When Michael stepped out from behind that tree after tricking Dan back and seeing Lucifer's Devil face, I did let out an audible "F#$%ing Michael!". Finally after 4 and a half seasons of build up and 1 cancellation & resurrection, we finally got Deckerstar together. I was pretty much going "about Gorram time" throughout that scene. Definitely enjoyed this reaction and awaiting your reactions to the next 2 episodes with bated breath.
