Hi Dakara. Try and remember in an episode or so's time, you asked for it. I think the main focus of these less exciting episodes is to move the story onward. Lucifer as a show has always seemed to me to my a season run more like an elongated episode. As a result around the middle of a season you get the filler bits that other shows fit in to a few minutes in the middle of an episode. To me the main reason behind this episode was to prep the ground work for Trixie's future in the closing episodes. Like wise Chloe and Lucifer's interactions in the last three episodes are important to their story. As for Maze growing a soul, when I first saw that scene I felt so vindicated, as I'd been forecasting that since early season three. One thing that does appear to have been 'put to bed' as it were, is the long standing theory that Trixie actually knew the truth all along. The mention to God that Lucifer had gone to Florida, when referring to the time he was in Hell after the Demon's coming to earth. This does of course not necessarily mean she doesn't know, only that she believed her mom when she told her that's where he was. Personally I like to watch these informative episodes, because it gives a better picture of what is going on with the characters, especially with how strongly the emotional story of all of them is explored.

Definitely the highlight of my Sunday's. A Dakara Lucifer reaction. I love your take on this episode. Looking forward to next week's episode.

These first few episodes of 5b remind me in a lot of ways of the first few episodes of S2. Back then, they were introducing us to Lucifer's mom, and laying important groundwork for later on in the season. They are a bit more low-key, especially after the emotional roller coaster of the S1 finale, but in hindsight they feel very necessary to understanding what comes later, when the plot really kicks into high gear and Mom starts shaking things up for everyone. These episodes introducing us to God are quite similar I think! More low-key after that big emotional whump in episode 8, but laying lots of important groundwork as we start moving into the last part of the season. When God says he's going to retire, I'm reminded of the moment when Mom said "when God closes a door, he opens a window". Things might start to move a bit more soon. Anyway, I'm loving all of your reactions so much, thank you for sharing and I can't wait to see the next!

AH THEY'RE DOING IT. I PREDICTED IT BUT-- - - - Yesss. And pft, there is Amenadiel's kid, so that'd be extremely predictable, so I hope not. Poor Dan... as usual, poor Dan! He was just brutally murdered casually haha.

And I mega-warmed to this version of God in this episode especially. Linda's life seems kinda exhausting between ( I assume?? ? ) working, primarily raising the child, and just... not really knowing what's happening. I do agree about Trixie. I didn't care much for that whole thing, but it was cool to see her and God relate symmetrically about not understanding those opposite perspectives in life. Lucifer will be Lucifer, of course. Very selfish, but he has his moments. Proud of Maze -- glad it didn't become an action situation cos of course she wasn't gonna kill him. Necessarily... She sorta stabbed that bed right quick without hesitation, so I doubt it absolutely certain she wouldn't have murdered him haha.
