Ep 18...THE ep 18...Will be with you next Monday guys!! My apologies for no double upload today, I still have no voice at all...I HAVE to be better for the finale! I haven't done all of these reactions to mess up on the last hurdle Chuck damnit!... Pray for me guys x x

Rating - 8.5/10 - I struggled to follow this one tbh, it was an episode PACKED with moments & I felt overwhelmed to say the least. I was surprised Amara changed her mind so quickly?? I'm still shook that Chuck is the evil monster at the end of the book! I understand things a little clearer now but during the filming a few things didn't make sense to me. Sam's speech to Dean at the end was powerful! Dean being so determined to end chuck had me so scared! I feared for Jack the entire time. Billie not showing her face here threw me off as well. We all know it's the next episode that you're all waiting for...I AM NOT OKAY STILL AFTER WATCHING 15x18!!!!! Pray for me...

I second that! I'm good with skipping a week just to have episode 18 today or sometime this week! I hate seeing Dean so desperate. He just wants his own life back and to know someone has been pulling your strings the whole time has to be heartbreaking and so confusing. I really do love that our version of Cas is the only Cas that stood on the boys' side and not Heaven's! I hope you start feeling better soon, Dakara! But pleeeeaasssee upload episode 18 this week! Pretty please? 🥰

The way i understood this is that the whole adam & billie's plan was chuck's plan all along, that's why seraphina used lines like it was all meant to be, since u watched next episode, i love the foreshadowing in this episode with Adam & seraphina a human/angel couple, cas is a seraph so the name seraphina isn't even subtle 😂, i hated that dean said jack isn't family & thanked him for dying for him & sam?! Wtf? So selfish, sam saying eileen she just dies again then dean immediately looking at cas, coz in billie's plan sam isn't the only one who is gonna lose a loved one, if everyone goes to where they came from, sam loses eileen & dean loses cas 😭, i loved the line sam said about dean protecting him from john growing up so much 😍, sam grouping john with lucifer, so true of him, both were villains in his story, can't wait for next episode!!

You can tell he immediately regrets it though. He told Jack that he was trying to get over the circumstances of Mary's death. TBH it's only a natural feeling to have continuing resentment toward the person who killed your parent. I might be able to forgive that person, but I certainly would never want to see them again. It's to Dean's credit that he lets Jack stay in the bunker.

So sad to see Dean so desperate to be rid of Chuck that he would threaten Sam, however, I don't think he would have killed him. Amara was crushed that Dean was able to betray her with the lie about just trapping Chuck. The writers have done an excellent job of now making us loathe Chuck for what he is doing, and Jack thinking that this is the only way Dean would be able to forgive him for Mary is sad. I think just knowing that Jack was willing to sacrifice himself is enough for Dean. Hope you feel better soon, I so look forward to your reactions.

this episode was crazy to watch live. i remember we were all freaking out over how intense it all got in such a short amount of time, (and then watching the 15x18 promo straight after!!) love how our castiel is the only one who fell and betrayed heaven after saving dean, we got to witness the only universe where cas fell (for humanity AND for dean ;) ) i think dean pulling the gun on sam was a bit ooc so i put it down to chuck controlling him.

Im just confused about the delay being a week? If she can not record 19 and 20 that is fine but why add a week delay for 18 if it is already watched. Id rather just not have 19 and 20 (they are not that great) next week.(plus i think there is a special before 20 as well.)

Chuck really did Amara dirty in this episode. The eye effects were cool, though. I did feel so bad for her. Just wish TFW had partnered with Amara to do that to Chuck but he never would have gone willingly. Also I see it as kind of lame that the writers had Amara go woe is me, Dean betrayed me, so I cannot exist on my own. Misogyny to the highest degree, in my view, at least.

Dakara, your reaction was really similar to mine. Episode 17 is the worst of this season if not of the series. If you ask me, it is way worst than Bugs! Dean is completely out of character in at least two major scenes, and even if someone can argue that it is because Chuck is manipulating him, I don't buy it. The up side is that we have this nice Sam speech about the one thing that was always true : Dean wanting to protect him. But I don't know why they thought they could not have this scene AND have Dean bein himself; it is not as if Dean never was a dick and completely wrong while staying in character! 😁 But pulling a gun on his baby brother without the kown (and visible) influence of a spell? They completely lost me there.

I forgot to say that Chuck's speech about this version of Cas being the only one who disobeyed after saving dean is one of the best lines in the show for me, cas fucked up a lot of Chuck's plans by being a rebel & falling in love with dean, cas is the definition of free will

Since health is the issue I also won't mind not having an episode next week if we can get 18 this week as it's already recorded. I'm hyped to see her reaction to it, to be honest. And I won't be watching this episode until Despair drops. She can delay 19 & 20 to as and when she feels completely better.

I'm going to miss your 'I hate this stupid show' quotes from Supernatural! I know you and everyone else is like 'it's out of character for Dean' - which it is a bit. But he talked about how angry he can get when he prayed to Cas in Purgatory. This was one of those moments, he's so consumed with anger at Chuck everything else isn't as important. I don't think he ever would have pulled the trigger. I mean he had his chance but decided to knock Sam out of the way instead. Dean's an emotional wreck and struggles with his emotions, he buries them and then they explode, So for me it was sort of in character, even if I didn't like it.

I think if Billie succeeds in her plan Sam and Dean would die, thats why her plan is bad. Sam and Dean have died 10 times over and been brought back. Billy's plan is to put everything back to its natural order. Which would include the brothers and everyone they have saved dieing.

So many comments, so I'll keep mine short. I basically hated everything about this episode. I just didn't understand why Dean was acting the way he was and I thought the writers were overdoing it. Feeling like we were supposed to think Dean would go crazy over the knowledge that Chuck had manipulated everything in their lives. That makes sense, but the way he's acting just didn't feel right. Unless Chuck is messing with him - which is really bad and so wrong. Poor Dean! I agree about Amara. I think her journey towards giving into Chuck could have been spread out over more episodes.

Hey Dakara, I hope you are feeling better now. I haven't comment for a while cuz I've been very busy but I had to comment this reaction. You you said that Dean was out of character for pulling out his gun at Sam. This is one of the reasons I don't like this season very much. To me Dean has been out of character for sometime already. They wrote him as a completely dick this season giving up almost all the time, turning his back to Cass and Jack too easily. I did not appreciate it. I can't Waite for you next reaction . I can't believe we have already come this far! Only three episodes to go!

I also did not like what happened with Dean in this episode. When it first aired, I felt it was so very out of character for him to not be looking for an alternate solution and then to pull a gun on Sam. It felt like dad had finally completed his character assassination of Dean. Over time, I could see how the writers intended for this to show that Dean really had a total mental breakdown. If that is what we are to take away from this episode, I still do not like it. The only good thing was Sam talking Dean back down. In addition to what this episode does to Dean, I hated what they did to Amara. At the end they turned her into a TV trope of a woman so torn up about a man betraying her love, that she can no longer function on her own and completely gives up to follow Chuck. Way to take an amazingly strong character and turn her into nothing.

I didn't care for this episode at all. The character of Adam was stupidly written. Dean completely off character pulling a gun on Sam. Amara, who was an bad entity wanting to destroy Earth complety changing her tune.<p></p> <p>I did understand Dean's "he's not family". He's still working through his mother's death. It's too his credit that he's been trying to forgive Jack.</p> <p>This episode was a shit show and I don't think the writers knew what they were doing, with the exception of Billie's plan.</p>

Also! Cas and Sam moment is A+++! They are so healthy around eachothers' emotions. Mannnn, "The Empty"'s actinggggggg. "God's so protective of his little sanddddcastles." Oof. "What about me? Would you trade me?" Mannnn. That line hurt. The only way to drag Dean back to sanity, tho.

I think we were supposed to gain from this that Dean had reached his end, that at any cost he wanted Chuck dead. Dean has protected San his whole life, so him pulling a gun on him made no sense. For the people saying “it’s Dean being Dean” go back and watch 15 years of character progression. Sometimes they write Dean stupid. What he said to Jack, was horrible. When Jack was dying Dean fought to save him. Then all of a sudden he’s not family? I love Dean but sometimes he flip flops around on who’s family and how important they are to him.
