Hello All!

Well Dakrya was out in full force again in this one. The scene between Buffy & Angel was intense & emotional. The snow was beautiful - the wig in the flash back...not so much haha. Great episode again though, we've had a few strong ones in a row & S3 has been solid so far! Can't wait to dive in and watch more. I'm not exaggerating when I say watching this show is becoming a highlight of my week <3

IDK. I dont think Buffy talked him off the ledge. He was outside when the sun should have come up. If not for the Christmas miracle, Angel would be gone.. Yes, it ended well, but by dumb luck..

Angel isn't wrong that the man is the unnatural part of him - he's being forced to live in a demonic, vampiric body. Really cruel of the Kalderash to put him through that, not to mention their disregard for Angelus's Season 2 victims.

I remember watching this episode and just sobbing as Buffy says "What about me? I killed you and it didn't make you go away." Ugh my heart 😭😭🥹 Note to self. Keep tissues within reach, you never know when a scene will jump from comedy to tragedy 🎭

I'm glad you appreciated this episode and the final scene. Most reactors find it to be too cheesy (the music is a little Hallmark-y I'll admit), but to me the scene on the hilltop and snowfall, how it represents a sign that "something" doesn't want Angel to die, is one of the most powerful scenes in the entire show. The info we learned about Xander in this ep is just a crumb of the dive into his psyche over the remaining seasons.

One of the best episodes storytelling-wise, but I am always sad that The First isn't explained better here. Other than that, I think it's such a beautiful episode, for every single character.... even just the crumb of finding out that Xander had actually confided something so personal (about his family's drunken fights) to Cordelia, it's pretty powerful stuff. I absolutely love this episode.

This was basically Angel episode 0.5. It's when the showrunners first thought 'We should give David a series and it should develop this concept' NO, I don't think the existence of a spinoff is a spoiler

This was a pretty good episode. I don't quite understand how the MOTW worked with it's blind minions, because once Buffy got rid of them it was still able to manifest one of Angelus's victims to talk to Buffy. So why did it need the blind minions. I'm easily confused. lol But, otherwise, it seems to me like the writing is getting better and better. I'm still not fully satisfied in how the relationships are being handled with Willow, Oz, Xander and Cordie. Mostly on Willow's side. I just feel like something is missing there. It was good though. I liked what we got with her and Oz in this episode, but I just feel like there should be something more from Willow about what was going on with her and Xander and how that's now ended.

This episode has to be one of my favourite episodes. Sure, as michelle said above me there are some plot holes with them saying the harbingers help the first evil manifest, and it still being able to after the harbingers were gone... but who knows, it was an old text. I just love the first evil as a concept like this. It is soo insidious, festering and infiltrating, and truly twisting. The Buffy and angel scenes are soo good, and I just love that pairing. Buffy at the end there just about breaks your heart. Xander finally does a bit better towards Buffy. And then ofcourse theres Willow and Oz. Willow making the full effort is soo cute, and Oz keeps on being the best guy ever. And sure... he's a werewolf dakara, but who's to say a wherewolf aint a man :D.

Why would Buffy assume she was in Angel's dreams? Lol. I mean, that's what dreams are like usually; scenarios your unconscious mind plays out as you sleep.

I used to strongly dislike this episode... the miracle snow, on Christmas, to save the day, with swelling disney-style music at the end, with the most dramatic acting so far... it was just too much for young wanna-be macho me. But as a 30 something father, who sees a man who hates himself and wants to die, more than just a cheesy happy ending... it hits home so much harder. I don't think I fully grasped the disdain Angels holds for himself until I was old enough to truly understand self-loathing and regret. Now I see that ending as good vs. evil. The evil claimed to bring him back, and the good kept him here. It's bigger than the miracle snow... it's about redemption. It's about life and self-worth. Seeing it now makes me hurt for him.

Getting old ? are you kidding dak that was the best drumming yet I loved it and the pause then a sneaky last stroke was rather funny lol 😃💙 nice home alone moment also 😃 favourite moment was definitely faith turning up at Buffy's house 🙂

I never cared for this episode much when younger, but it has grown on me. Now the most unfortunate thing about this episode is Buffy's fringe. Her hair is normally spectacular, but in this episode they dropped the ball!
