I was pretty neutral on the Eleanor-Chidi relationship in the early parts of the show. I liked how they always became friends and had this powerful bond, but that it wasn't always romantic. I liked the way she supported him and Simone getting together and their relationship. But once we got to Season 3, I was all-in on them being a romantic couple. Particularly after the Season 3 finale. There's no going back to "just friends" after that.

Love the end of this episode. And I love Kristen Bell at the end but her little look at Chidi shows that she was reading the note from Chidi's glasses reflection (as mentioned in this episode) and then she gives that smile. This ending always makes me tear up.

I'd forgotten how much I love this episode and seeing Chidi's journey of self-discovery. Especially after a season of only having half a Chidi. I love that it follows the theme that each of them improves each other, as Chidi takes valuable lessons from his friends. None of them are perfect, but they bring out the best in each other. Too. darn. wholesome. I'd also forgotten about the note at the end... totally not crying right now - uh uh!

I don't know if it's because my heart melted with all the sappiness, but something just popped into my head. Not long after I first stumbled upon your videos, maybe a year ago, I found out that the nice girl that liked series and games also had a partner and a kid. That should be really normal but somehow it wasn't. I got lost in my thoughts about how lucky kids are now, having access to so many different people living different lives, and being inspired by them. And I got to the conclusion that if I'd known you 20+ years ago or was 20+ years younger, I would've had better dreams for myself as a teenager. Maybe dreams that would have lasted until now. I dreamed of the regular life everyone said I should dream of and well, thank god things didn't go as planned. We're roughly the same age but you gave me this vibe. I'm not sure how I remember that but it feels like a nice compliment to uncomfortably share, since we're doing that. I honestly think that you're tuned in to the best this show has to offer and have a great path ahead of you. Oh and you said you don't relate to Jason. Besides being the dumbest and having issues on controlling his impulses, Jason has the biggest heart. And that I think you do too. Ok, enough is enough, I'm done. <3

Micheal's speech about soulmates not being found but made was one the realest things from this bag of seemingly unending life ponderings. Life is about the webs our living weaves and the relationships we forge and nurture. Effort into being the truest versions of ourselves, trying to work with, and on what we have, and then the experience of growth. Because, hey, that's what Michael and the rest of the gang have been trying to do for the last 4 seasons. We were given these characters, and they are the truest example of what I've been attempting to say here lol. We're in love with all of them.

My favourite thing about this episode is while watching Chofu’s flashback of his lives/afterlives we see how everyone in his life had an influence on him and played their part in helping him grow and change and I think this is true for life. Everyone that comes into your life has the potential to teach us something and make us a better person, either by teaching us what we want or don’t want, believe or don’t believe. We just have to be open to their teaching.
