Thanks everyone for voting in last weeks poll with what you'd prefer to see from me. The votes are in and Wednesday won so here we are. The pilot in the Cage Tier. I will upload 1 episode every Monday of Wednesday & once complete I will return to Cobra Kai S2 :)

Please use one of the links at the bottom of this post to watch this video, thank you:

Hello All!

There was a lot of hype surrounding this show & it didn't disappoint! Jenna plays a great Wednesday. I loved that she now has these visions, cant wait to see more of that. The characters are all so interesting! Love the style & quirkiness of the show so far. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this & I hope to continue it as well.

I have started a lot of shows lately so I cant promise it'll be an every week schedule but I will 100% be reacting to this one

Have a lovely week everyone! Thank you for the constant love & support!

Much love

Dakara x

Yaassss, love comments like this Michele! Glad you enjoyed the show - I have a feeling it'll be right up my street after watching the pilot

Michele

I'm sure you'll love it. Hard not to binge.

I am way late to these reactions, but this show is fun. Love the reactions. To be honest I was hesitant to watch this show simply because for me Christina Ricci was my Wednesday. I loved the original show too, but the movies were soooo good. For me that was the Addams Family. It wasn't until I saw a preview it happened to be the scene where she drops the piranha in the pool, I burst out laughing! That scene alone made me want to watch this series and I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked Jenna as Wednesday. I also really loved Catherine Zeta-Joness as Morticia and Luis Guzmán as Gomez. He reminded me of the old comic strips and animated version of Gomez. Really enjoyed them. And they kept that love for each other that I always loved about them. They are just such a heartfelt family, one of my favorite things about these characters. Casting was just great, and having Christina Ricci here was wonderful as well. Her character was so different from her role as Wednesday she was disturbingly chipper. Yeah looking forward to the rest of these reactions - point of fact I'm bnging them right now lol. P.S. Loved your Wednesday Cosplay!

Wednesday had a love interest in Addams family values :D also Catherine is 53 years old

Knowing you were starting this show dak I've been so excited to see how you found it and I'm delighted to find out how much you enjoyed it 🥳 I too was unsure how I'd feel about someone else playing Wednesday but I didn't need worry the casting was spot on . Loved Enid right away just being the complete opposite to wednesday is fantastic and it just opens up for fun times ahead between them both at least that's what popped into my head 🙂 . Gotta say the set design is fantastic the music epic they entire vibe is spot on and I was drawn right Into the world from the off 👍 thing looked great btw as did you dak great job the contacts didn't matter to much you nailed it regardless. Really looking forward to the future episodes now this is going to b a fun time 🙂

The Mad Titan

I didn't know if I would but I really enjoyed this show. I thought she played a great Wednesday, and everyone were well cast too. Curious if I'm right about who that creature is. I know its early but care to put any early guesses out there and call it early like a boss. I havnt seen it yet but I have a few suspicions. I may be wrong and it's not anyone, but everyone else there is a something. A werewolf, a gorgon, siren etc.stands to reason that thing is somebody too. I just didn't want to influence your first thoughts by saying mine. Can't wait till next episode. Thank ya

Awesome reaction. I love this show and was practically giddy when I saw that you dressed up for it. It's gonna be a wild ride!

I've been wanting to watch this series based on the reviews, and you reacting to it clinched it. This was a really strong opener and I'm looking forward to the next episode. I will say that I think Morticia and Gomez were miscast. I like both Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzman, but I wasn't feeling it. Thinking about it though, since the series is about Wednesday and her time at Nevermore, they're not going to be in the program much. If they were doing a reboot of "The Addams Family", I would have gone with Antonio Banderas and Sofia Vergara. I recognized Percy Hynes White (Xavier Thorpe) from the series "The Gifted"; I was very disappointed when it got cancelled. I did take issue with associating Pilgrims with mass genocide. Either the writers don't know the definition of genocide, or they're intentionally trying to further indoctrinate low-intelligence people. All nations have conquered people and taken land throughout history.

Glad you chose to do reaction videos to watching this series aswell. I absolutely loved this series and how Wednesday was portrailed. You said most of it at the end so I've not got too much to add. I agree with the stars hollows vibes though!, I've been saying that too!. something about the square and layout of the street. I wasn't too sold on Luis Guzman for Gomez, but this actor does resemble the original comic version of him more. I love the casting of catherine Zeta-Jones for Morticia though.

Donald Mellen

I've seen a lot of different reactions to Luis Guzman as Gomez. Personally I loved Luis Guzman's portrayal. In the original comics, Gomez was very much like Luis Guzman. In the old '64-'66 tv show, he was played by John Astin (who I loved in the role) that had Gomez still short, but not so stout. The movies with Raul Julia (who I also loved in the part) had Gomez more "fit". The animated shows had Gomez back to the short and stout version. Whether people "take" to Gomez in this show, seems to depend a lot on what Addams Family shows they've seen so far.

Brian Dworak

I've never read the comics, so your info is interesting. I used to watch the TV series after school, so I was used to John Astin's Gomez. I didn't care about Luis's stoutness, it was more the lack of Astin's attitude and way of speaking. I'm enjoying the series and think Jenna Ortega is quite possibly the best Wednesday. I also really enjoy Emma Myers as Enid.

Michele

I just watched your reaction. Now I want to watch the series. Reaction videos are free advertising! I remember watching the original Addams Family show when I was a kid. They were in syndication and were always playing on one channel or another. I really enjoyed it. I don't recall much about Christina Ricci's version, but I also saw that.

Michele

Update - I actually binged the whole season in one sitting after watching your reaction. Thanks. lol
