Hello All!

1 more episode left guys!!!!! Be still my beating heart! Great to see Angel rocking up not so great seeing Spike all sad about it but we move. Buffy is back and smashing it! I still wish the events of episode 19 didn't happen BUT it does feel satisfying to see how quickly things fell apart with the lack of Buffy AND how quickly things came together with her too! We're gonna need a lot of tissues and cosy vibes for the next Buffy upload guys...HOLD ME!!!

Hope you enjoy the reaction folks. Have a lovely week everyone! Thank you for the constant love & support!

Much love

Dakara x

Everytime this happens people expect the characters to apologize to buffy. The reason buffy never asked for it is because she always realizes both sides and why things happened. If you notice she was not eager to put herself into leadership role again. It is not because she was still upset. It is because she realized her role in what happened as well. Xander, Giles, and willow were called out last episode so it would not make much sense to do it again. The potentials and faith this episode gained a better understanding of buffy role and war so those issues are also resolved. I said before that Xander has always tried to be with buffy in the fight and has shown on many occasions that he supports her.Right before the vineyard attack he gave a big speech showing his support. Buffy then says later in the group argument that spike is the only one she can count on. This episode is her fixing her mistake by trusting Xander with the most important thing and telling him how important he has been to her life which completes his arc. Not needing to be in the big fight and just being there to protect dawn.

This episode is almost perfect. I just wish there had been some expression of regret from the Scooby Gang. The one person who I, personally, thought needed to apologize the least - Faith - is the one who made peace with Buffy. Xander especially had a good opportunity to apologize, and he came so close. But then again, he is Xander. 🤪 Your summary at the end was, as usual, spot on. See you for the finale!

Both sides were right in what they were saying. Buffy was right about the vineyard and the gang was right about buffy being reckless and closed off. Nobody has to apologize.. They just had to understand each other's point of view. Buffy knew exactly why she was kicked out and her role in what happened so she didn't come back expecting apologizes because she knows they were right. She admitted it to spike.

I love this reaction so much. As far as all your anxieties over finishing the show, we've all been there. Big virtual hugs. That said, I wouldn't complain if we got the last one back to back too. LOL :D Just kidding. Sort of.

I technically could post it early. It’s rendering now but then there wouldn’t be a reaction on Tuesday🙃

CuteLiLRN

Such a great reaction to a great episode 🙂 I love how Buffy never rubs in their face that she was right. There are some great character scenes in this episode and I love it so much. Question…Which date will the FINALE be on Patreon?

Randy Cooper

Nope, NO onions. Just watching Dakara Buffy reactions! 🥺😭🥺

DakaraJayne

It should be Tuesday at 5pm but I’m considering and earlier upload. It just means there wont be an upload on Tuesday then

For me, the most frustrating thing about the end of 7x19 is that it comes so close to the end of the season and throws up a bunch of issues that are never properly resolved. I don't think there needs to be an apology necessarily, but these characters clearly have things to talk about and yet we just crack on as if nothing happened. The Buffy/Faith scene was good though, and I do like how these final episodes bring Faith's journey full circle. I think I've mentioned before that I'm not a big fan of Caleb. I dislike how he's dropped into these last five episodes out of nowhere, his backstory and motivations are largely unexplored and he gets minimal characterisation, it's basically just misogyny cranked up to eleven. And while that might provide a necessary counterpoint to the season's broader theme about female empowerment, I feel it's something that the show already did much better last season with Warren. And also the stuff at the end with the Guardian, a massive bit of lore that comes from nowhere and gets all of three minutes. Hopefully I'm not being too negative! I did also like the Buffy/Spike scene, and I like where their relationship has ended up. The kiss with Angel wasn't for me but I guess you need something for the Bangel shippers! One more to go!

Amazing reaction as always. Anyone else greedy and need the finale now. Can't wait to watch this last episode with Dakara.

There's a ton of bonus material stuff and Youtube videos about the series you could react to if you wanted to do a Buffy-related reaction on Tuesday. :D Either way, you've made me a very happy Patreon!

I love this episode (i say that soo often i know...) Buffy's comeback feels great. All the slayerettes realized now that its not all that straightforward. They repented in a way, and I like how buffy doesnt rub salt in the wounds, especially with Faith. And for faith this was ofcourse a good look into Buffy's life and that it really isnt what she thought it was. Angel is indeed timely, and i think they did a great entrance for him. I agree with what you said about the Buffy/Angel/Spike triangle here. Though i'm still for Buffy/Angle at the start. I just love the chemistry they have. Though it has to be said, especially this season, Buffy and Spike have amazing chemistry too. I get Buffy asking Xander to take Dawn away, but she should've known Dawn would do something like this. I like how they didnt even finish the letter (though i desperately want to know what the rest of the letter said), and Dawn just sidearms and tazers Xander. Also Andrew really redeemed himself with that speech there. One more to go, can't wait but i dread this journey to be over. Lookin forward to it as always :)

3x15 "Consequences"-- Angel: You and me, Faith, we're a lot alike. Time was, I thought humans existed just to hurt each other. But then I came here. And I found out that there are other types of people. People who genuinely wanted to do right. And they make mistakes. And they fall down. You know, but they keep caring. Keep trying. This episode-- Anya: Well...I guess I was...kinda new to bein' around humans before. But now I've... seen a lot more, gotten to know people... seen what they're capable of, and... I guess I just realized...how amazingly screwed-up they all are. I mean really, really screwed-up in a monumental fashion. And they have no purpose that unites them, so they just drift around, blundering through life until they die...which they...they know is coming, yet every single one of them is surprised when it happens to them. They're incapable of thinking about what they want beyond the moment. They kill each other, which is clearly insane. And yet, here's the thing. When it's something that really matters, they fight. I mean, they're lame morons for fighting, but they do. They never... never quit. So I guess I will keep fighting, too.

I've always thought that last scene was just fanservice for Bangel fans. I just dislike it, especially considering the ending of S4 of Angel. These 2 have been on such different paths for so long now that to me it just looks painfully out of place. One more little cliffhanger to forcefeed us the love triangle that never was. Uh-oh what will Spike do (/s). Meh.

Steveo

I always wonder why some reactors get this version that doesn't have the explosion with Faith and the potentials. There is a small scene right before Buffy pulls out the axe that's missing in this version, just to let ya know! Nothing special but it's there.

Love the new hair chick. 🥰 I do have to disagree with your viewpoint on Xander in the confrontation episode. This is prob a long one so don't read if your not fussed. 😅 Obviously everyone has their own take on it and I know you were super offended on Buffy's behalf, quite rightly. But the thing with Xander is, he wasn't leading the charge in that confrontation but he did add his own thoughts albeit brief, and in my opinion he was probably the only one out of all of them that was justified in being angry at Buffy in that moment. He has been there in the fight since the beginning. And whether fans downplay his actions or joke around that he just gets in the way, he's the most human of the group I.e no abilities, no higher knowledge, no demonic power, and yet he always jumps in to help for good or bad. He always is one of the first to say 'Buffy needs us? Let's go' even if others are hesitant. With the Vineyard he did the same thing again, even giving the speech to the girls. He was ready to go, to follow his commander. But she went off a hunch that she had, that while it did pan out in the end it didn't in that fight. She went in without thinking of the full consequences and who could get hurt and they, mainly Giles, point blank questioned her on this beforehand. But even then Xander was ready to go, believed in her...and he almost died. Now, you mentioned in that video that he had a choice to do that, of course he did, but if you compare it to a real life battle situation in the army, lets say, where a squad follows the command of their leader, of course they have a choice but they also have put trust and faith in that leader that they have considered all options and that their leader is guiding them in the right directions. Xander did that. He held up his end and he got hurt because Buffy didn't think it through, she wanted an end to it all and she didn't take the advice of her peers. And then after he didn't die but suffered a life altering injury (I mean its crazy nothing has happened up until this point), she abandons him because she can't bear to see the result of her choice. Xander DID have a choice, and that choice was to put his faith in Buffy, his leader, but she let him down and then was asking/demanding to follow her new order into a similar situation. If it was me I would be pissed as well. But he didn't launch a tirade at her, he didn't even make her feel guilty for leaving him while he was in the hospital. That was the first time he spoke up. And then in this episode, after they've all (including Buffy) decided to move past it he's right back again choosing to fight because he believes in her and wants to support her even though he's at a great disadvantage. Faith is also another one who wasn't the loudest voice in that room because she didn't want to be a leader, she didn't want to take anything from Buffy, but she made a valid point 'can you follow'. That was it. Then she was forced into Buffy's shoes just as Buffy was forced out. She made sure to have people check on Buffy and put the girls in check when they mouthed off. She was the one who followed after Buffy to make sure she was OK. They both had a part in hurting Buffy during that episode, but out of all of them they at least have their own valid reasons for what they said. End scene. Lol! 😂😴

Love this!
