If I don't increase my work speed, I won't be able to participate in the Live2D contest in time. That's why I'm desperately making it in between work.
Unlike the arm, the shape of the leg has a sharp curve.
I couldn't make it well with the following method I introduced last time.
Therefore, I adopted a method that combines the method I introduced last time with GLUE TOOL.
But this is also why I didn't use GLUE TOOL to create the arms of the model before.
That is, the boundary line is not smooth with this method…
It seems that I have no choice but to correct this line by applying some effect using a tracking app or OBS.
Unlike making the arms, I'm having a hard time motivating myself to make the legs.
I guess I never had a foot fetish... (Is that important?)
I seriously considered why my motivation didn't last. Legs have more limited movement than arms. That's why the model's legs are often at "unrealistic angles".
But in reality, I have to create a lot of impossible angles in order to apply corrections with physics calculations.
It is necessary to make a bent leg at an impossible angle. So for a long time I need to look at my broken model. This is hard.
↑When playing randomly, the model frequently breaks a leg as shown above. I can't show you that video.
Another point that is clearly different in the production of arms and legs is whether they are in contact with the ground or not.
This time, the method I used to create the legs of the model uses a rotation deformer. Even if I put it in the leg twist deformer I usually use, the model's legs hang in the air and leave the ground.
To avoid this I have to make the legs using only the WARP DEFORMER. However, the final goal of my model is "the Live2D model I made dances". That's why I want the model's legs to move freely.
So, for me, this range of motion is absolute. For that, I have no choice but to use a rotation deformer. I still haven't figured out exactly how to switch between the model being on the ground and being able to move its legs freely. I wonder if I can switch ON/OFF between the normal range of motion for the ground made with the WARP DEFORMER and the transcendental range of motion of the rotation deformer...
Currently, the lower body of my model is moving without a center of gravity. It's so weird and I hate it.
It seems better for me to make the control by physical calculation first, switching between the range of motion for the grounding of the WARP DEFORMER and the range of motion of the rotation deformer, and the control by physics calculation. That would make me feel safer. So I'll do them next.
As an aside, ARTPATHS cannot be used in the model for VTUBER due to the specifications.
So I haven't used it much.
However, I found this feature very useful for creating movement guides.
You can draw pictures, so you can make your own guides. But for those who find switching to an illustration app and finding materials to be troublesome, this feature may be easier.
If you use it, it will not be displayed on the TEXTURE ATLAS screen and will not remain in the export!
That's it for today!
