For the funeral tradition question you say that Followers of the Silver Flame keep ashes of cremated followers so they can be resurrected, but generally resurrection magic needs the body to be somewhat intact unless you’re using some Epic Level Magic like True Resurrection, or Reincarnate which is pretty much exclusive to Primal Casters.

For Haydith becoming Queen of Breland I could kinda see a bit of Catherine the Great Situation. Catherine the Great wasn’t born Russian or Orthodox, but she very much adopted the culture and religion, and her husband who was the Tsar of Russia was so unpopular that they over threw him in a bloodless coup.
