Hi Patrons! A few days ago I posted a poll about Phoenix content. But I'll also be writing about Eberron when I have time. What topic should I address in November?

I've currently just launched a 5E campaign using the Q'barra theme I mentioned last month, and one option is for me to share some of the work that's going into that. I've been talking about warforged and elves on Manifest Zone, and I could expand on either of those topics. However, bear in mind that legally I can't create new game material at this point. So I could write about warforged, but I can't post a 5E conversion at this time.

If you have other requests, post them in the comments. If I don't add them to this poll, I'll keep them in mind for the future. And as always, thank you for your support!

What was it like living in Western Aundair during the Silver Purge? I may have sent my PCs back in time...

Do you have any advice for running villains in Eberron who are artificers?

It's really hard to get across the sort of social displacement warforged are alwys described as having without a long history lesson (even then not easy). A quick runthrough on the sort of thing that fighter/four & the sentinel guy went through with the your free>what's that>etc type thing seems to work somewhat but kinda forces the player's hand a bit. That no past beyond brutal bootcamp (even by our standards) & direct to the war yet fully sapient would be a nice subject I'd love to hear about. Failing that, with the sovereign host, I'd love to hear about the schism, but not sure how close to/far over the line it gets

I think what Eberron desperately needs is more information on Khyber. What we have is so scant and it's such a fascinating location. What kind of demon cities are down there? What does a daelkyr lair look like? What happened to the Stone Kingdom? I need to know!

Gods and created for me... (sovereigns and warforgeds. because random plurals are random). 😅 Jokes aside. I don't know if it was dealt before as i'm rather new. But this is a world of fantasy. Gods not only actually exist here, but they [censored] speak to actual people as an unmistakeable and provable fact of life. Soooo... how did they view the creation forges? Was it them or their voices on the prime material that pushed for the closing of the forges? As far as i understood by reading the two book trilogies... the sovereign host had little actual to do with it and it was more like an "oh crap" moment from the forge creators which then pushed to sweep the still glowing cinders under the rug and while the rug started to smoke and catch fire they said: "Forges? Nah... we don't need them anymore! The war's over don't you see?" and then sweating profusely trying to push the bluff. But in all this we never did actually hear anything from... the <strike>floors</strike> planes above. Soooo how did they take it?

I voted Q'Barra, and it's because I'd like to hear more from you about more granular adventure design. I love hearing your big, macro-level ideas but I'd love the opportunity to see your process and workflow for designing adventures. How do you plan and account for your PC's backstories? How do you go about designing the drivers that push players from one scene to the next? What's your thought process behind encounter design, in any system? These are sticking points for me as a GM and I'd love your feedback in the context of your own campaign.

Okay... 🤔 due to multiple replies i'm starting here again even though it's a reply. I thought i understood it when i read it the first time... but i thought it worked in a different way. This feels much more like the real world, except with magic. A lot of people think there is one (or more) god(dess), but which one to follow and how it speaks to them, that's really up to them. From the way the people spoke in the novels it felt that they actually knew what the gods wanted... but then again i guess that's what most people with religious fervor think and how they act... 🤔 So i guess the answer i thought is basically "whatever the people in charge of the religion where the warforged happen to exist thinks is the will of the gods for them... then that's how they will be dealt with, and what they will have to deal with." It sounds basically... well... like the real world. 😅 Which means there is no "word of god" on the matter. Sorry for the TVTropes pun. 🤣 (had to end with a pun, it was way tooooooo serious right now)

Yea I have a request. Is you game face to face, or online? Is there a seat open if it is online =) As a DM of two Eberron campaigns using 5E, I would love to experience one of your Eberron campaigns first hand.
