Modern infantry firepower scraped through with a last minute win this week with 10 votes to the 9 of Arty/CAS. This seems like a good opportunity to revisit the earlier infantry suppression tests with the new format. That way the modern and WW2 firepower demos are compatible.

So, might as well go back to the beginning and do the US Rifle squad from SF2 again in (Black Sea, IIRC everyone has body armour which would change some of the parameters). Should be really interesting to see the difference between US infantry 2008 and US infantry 1944.

That means that we're back to WW2 for this weeks poll and because we did Arty/CAS last time, that's out of the mix and we're down to Armour Penetration, TacAI Response and Infantry Firepower.

(Though I am thinking about taking TacAI Response out of the mix- it's kinda hard to actually think of things to demonstrate).

In other news, I'm finally starting to get back to grips with PVP and will hopefully have some interesting stuff ready to go soon. This week, the focus is on a Tactical Basics video covering the OODA Loop, or at least the concept of the OODA Loop. The idea is to give a quick, low footprint overview so that I can get a video out fairly sharpish to get out of the current hand-to-mouth video zone... fingers crossed I can actually do that and not go down the rabbit hole!

One interesting thing from last week that I hadn't anticipated was that I messed up the release of the first Editor video. I had accidentally set it to go live at the same time as the Sherman Unit Guide: luckily, I happened to be sat at the Youtube Channel dashboard when it happened and was able to take it down and re-schedule within a few seconds.

All good, but it looks like Youtube has pretty much ignored it when it went live at the right time on Friday. YT is always going to push new content over old content and clearly they don't want people switching videos between listed and unlisted to get repeated bumps from the algorithm.

But that video hasn't gotten the attention I would expect and people have been commenting that they didn't realise it was out so... while it's been an interesting experiment to let things play and see what difference it makes, I am tempted to delete it and re-upload it. We'll see.
