A super interesting concept, if somewhat overused, it's the Boyd Cycle! I first read about this in Lind's 'Maneuver Warfare Handbook' way back and it was one of those little things that made a lot of other stuff click.

Actually explaining it is... a bit tougher though so hopefully this gets the point across!

In other news, I can't believe it's Easter already. Also, I've managed to complete the Map Making video for the editor series. After spending a while writing out a script I just chucked it, stuck the headset mic and ad-libbed my way through building the map... for about an hour. Much easier than trying to coordinate narration with footage.

That means the War Room is back in the cycle- right now I'm leaning on Bomber Command in WW2 for something a bit different- but, you'll be glad to know I've managed to find myself with 2 PVP games on the go, plus one waiting in the wings.

Guess it's feast or famine... potentially bad news for me, as past experience indicates I usually have enough room in my head for one game at a time and playing multiple at once means I lose them all. Of course, that doesn't make the individual battles stale. In fact, there's stuff blowing up all over the place... fun for everyone.

What is the word on the Scheldt estuary campaign you were eyeing up making? Or is the coming map making video part of that?

I had a deeper look into it and the fighting on Walcheren was basically a mix of trench/bunker clearing and urban warfare, neither of which CM does paticularly well. So... backburner for now I'm afraid.

Ah very relatable. I myself am currently dealing with the struggle of how heavily to abstract the road network of a real place. Who knew trying to represent the real world with only 45 degree angles would be difficult :D
