A narrow win for Modern Infantry Power in last week's poll, so it's back to Shock Force range! I am somewhat running out of infantry squads to test in Shock Force but I think it'll be interesting to give the Marine scout/snipers a go. I'm not sure how much the scout/sniper squad is an administrative thing and how much they would actually be parcelled out in teams as necessary, but it's a really good opportunity to see if having two marksmen with 7.62 rifles are a more effective option in our test than a full squad with all their LMGs. Should be interesting!

In other news, like I said back on Friday with the Basics: Smoke release, my main effort this week is going to be finishing off Foiling Fustian Mission 2. The script is all done, so that means its just an exercise in recording, cutting and grabbing all the footage.

(The Supertruppen have already seen this in the script upload, but it's a good indication of what's in store).

On the far side of Fustian 2 it's time for another unit guide. Whether or not this is going to be a full-on guide (a topical look at Fallschirmjaeger, perhaps?) or something else, I'm not sure right now. If I need extra time I still have the alphabetised micro-shorts to fall back on.

So, that leaves this week's poll. We're back to WW2: Arty/CAS is out because they won last time, leaving Armour Penetration and Infantry Firepower to go at.

WW2 armor pen..no video is needed. Just know the following: One Panther can shoot clean through 2 Shermans from 4000 meters. Chain reactions of exploding Shermans and other vehicles once followed 50 miles down the road to Antwerp, where the explosion chain ran right inside the LST destroying it also. Twenty Shermans will destroy one Panther at 200 meters. The 1 remaining damaged Sherman will wobble up and capture the position. With two Panthers, the problem increases exponentially. US needs 3 armored divisions: one "sacrificial" division to go up the middle, while the other two sneak around the flanks. Statistics show that one Panther will be destroyed, and the other will run out of ammunition. Surviving US forces can be consolidated into a battalion. XD

I'd like to see a video where two tanks are put abreast of each other, basically lined up along a row, turrets pointing straight ahead. Terrain is level and foliage nonexistent. Distance is maybe 300m or less? Even a lot less? Oh, and both tanks are unbuttoned. Alternate could be tanks are 'back to back' like in a duel at, say 100m or so. Same terrain conditions and unbuttoned. I want to see those turrets working. My only worry is the AI will likely try and get the hull turned around as well. Too bad you can't put them as immobilized.
