Well, that's another win for Arty/CAS. We've done a few artillery strikes in a row, best find some CAS to throw at the poor target platoon.

Beyond the poll, this week is all about Foiling Fustian Mission 3. I played through it and finished the script off over the weekend- that means I just have to check it, record it, edit it and grab the footage.

The mission itself was... a bit of a slog. It's basically a battalion on battalion slugging match that really boiled down to a couple of decisions. So a lot of... should we say, mechanical time and effort rather than any kind of interesting decision making. Of course, that could just be a result of me mentally rebelling against having a hundred plus teams to micro...

Anyway, that's the main effort for this week. I should probably start thinking about the next War Room episode- that's up next in the schedule. We're onto 'Season 3' now and the idea is to get back to a kind of theme or course. I have a feeling we might be going right back to basics... and Zanzibar. But we'll see.

Before all of that, it's back to the polls though. We had a narrow Infantry Firepower win back in the WW2 category last time, so Arty/CAS and Armour Penetration are up.

I want some sort of war room episode on Sino-Indian war. It would be interesting (another option is Sino-Vietnamese war)

Sino-Vietnamese would be pretty cool. Giap is definitely an underrated military figure. Guy lived to 102 as well.

Won’t call him “underrated”

More like “less celebrated in the West”.

OK, western style countries generally look down upon the more operational and strategical folks. The cult of Rommel being the prime example. There’s often a hatred for “managers” like Haig. (OK, this is also political as the operational and strategical layers of war is inherently political, something professionalized armies in the west desperately avoid)
