And somewhat surprising it is. They did slot into the leaderboard about where I was expecting, but didn't do as badly as they could have done.

I can't remember where the soldiers in the thumbnail are from, but that's a really good shot of the rear of the BMP3 with the rear hatches open. Absolute nightmare getting in and out.

BMP-3's are one of my favorite vehicles in CM. Super fun.

Considering the score, I think it's worth noting you had the option to just sit back and level pretty much all of delta once you knew the enemy was in there. Might not have made for an interesting video but when you have enough fire power to comfortably hit every likely enemy position, risking your dismounts as bait didn't seem necessary.

Even when out of ammo, they can serve as BVIEDs. "Even in death, I still serve."

I'm not sure they have the ammo to do that. They have lots of ammo... but not that much

I haven't tested this exact scenario, but with 120x 100mm HE and ~900x 30mm HEI a platoon can usually knock down 5+ smaller buildings and area fire a bunch of squares with a usable amount of ammo left over. I feel fairly confident that you could have knocked down a few buildings to open up LOS and shot up or destroyed the rest of the buildings/foliage you could see from that side while having some ammo in reserve before committing the infantry.

That's how William DePuy intended US mechanized infantry on Bradleys to fight. He believes that attacking enemy positions head on should be avoided at all times and should only be done with massive massive fire support from IFVs
