Looks like we're poking holes in something modern this week. Maybe time for MILAN in Cold War? I've been steering clear of the BAOR stuff because it's still rough around the edges here and there, but I think MILAN works fine. Except not indoors, for some reason.

In other news, the Platoon Patrol continues and, for a very nice change of pace, the community voted for something that isn't a BMP! We're going the German Gebirgsjaeger in Fuchs. I don't actually know that much about them (except that Gebirgsjaeger are hard as nails and MG3 go brrrr), so the unit guide should be fun.

As for the actual scenario... well, they're basically light infantry in trucks so I suspect we're going full dismount. We'll see.

This week's poll, meanwhile, is back round to WW2. We did artillery effects last time, so it's Armour Penetration and Infantry Firepower on the menu.

I'm always a fan of mountain warfare stuff. And Gebirgsjager in CMSF2 are the only form of motorized rifle unit on the Bundeswehr side which made them important in cooperation with the mechanized heavy panzergrenadier units. Also the idea of a specialized Hochegebirgsjager unit to seize high altitude peaks is something I genuinely likes, I think for urban and such complex environments there tend to be a need for such units
