Here's how you can use the new arm hook joint to put the Beardie into some additional dynamic poses.  I hope you enjoy it!

Cheers,Matt

*To avoid any confusion, I deleted the old post of the snap-fit version of this joint.

is there a multi color of this and where can I find the link if so

matmire_makes

Sorry, there isn’t. When I have spare time I am making my way back through the older files to add multicolor files, but this one doesn’t have one yet.

Hi Iv printed quite a few of these beardeds for some reason since Iv updated my bamboo software it printing the joints really rough and halfway up its tail the print is rough Iv tried different filaments and different printers but still the same do you have any suggestions I could try

matmire_makes

Hmm, I'm not sure. If you are using customized profiles, it's possible that the Bambu update somehow altered how they are functioning. Maybe start from a fresh profile and re-enter any custom settings? It could also be that there was a bug in that version of Bambu Studio (I did notice a new update was released today).

Thank you the quick response I will have a look for that new update hopefully that will fix the problem although iv printing a lot of other stuff with no issues but fingers crossed thank you

Hi, I am sorry to bug you but for reason I am not able to print this body anymore. I've tried 4 times and every time the tail snaps off... the joints are brittle... I've printed this the past with no issues and now it just really brittle... I use a Bambu labs printer and silk filament. I typically print at a slow speed with 3 walls and 10% infill. is there any advice you can give? I recently purchased the santa bearded and have two heads but no bodies :-(. Sorry again normally I have no issues with your prints. you are super amazing, thank you so much for everything!!

Hi! Interesting. This design haven't been changed/updated in years, and this isn't a typical problem it has, so I suspect it could be an issue with the silk filament you are using. Have you used this particular brand of silk on it before? Silks are known for being more brittle than other types of PLA and also tend to have weaker layer adhesion. I would make sure you are using Bambu's Generic SILK filament profile as a starting point, if you aren't already. I think silks work better slightly hotter and slower. Bambu also has a wiki page for Silk printing recommendations, maybe that will help... https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/x1/manual/printing-with-silk-filaments It's also possible that your filament is a bit wet and could use drying. Hope that helps!
