Those Holy Roman Empire borders for me excited. From one Rome to another lol

Dane McAfee

Judging by the map alone… something or someone between 1763-1772. Edit: Upon reflection, using clues such as Bavaria holding Jülich, I would now date the map to be in the 1780s. Now if only I could think of a significant event in the 1780s…

Vive la Révolution

JustNoOne

Can't be since Poland still exists

Jacob Wills

you’re right just realized prussia is a bit small too

Not__Jack

But Prussia has Danzig which they didn’t get until later? My guess is mid 1790s Edit: I missed it, Danzig isn’t annexed yet there’s a little white border haha

Lucas

Oh my, were going more than a millenia forward

Matthew Burke

HRE video, maybe? Going through its archaic governing systems like with the super old Roman republic senatorial offices videos.

SamuraiSob

Definitely just after the First Partition, so could be the French Revolution? Techically not Boney

James Burtton

He's going to explain the history of all eleventy billion principalities that made up the HRE.

Alec

Looks like the HRE. Not Holy, not Roman and not an Empire

Emir-Kaan Bas

Looks like the 7 Years' War to me

Emir-Kaan Bas

It's not the 7 years' war because the PLC has their 1772-1793 borders meaning that the best candidate is the French Revolution

Naomi Skilling

7 years war maybe? Also damn, HRE, get your borders in order. I do not envy the cartographer’s job or your’s trying to draw that.

bel0919

birth of a nation

Oriskó Norbert

Hungary seems to have some northern territories, but still separate from Austria... meaning it needs to be between 1773-1804. This matches with other observations in the comments.

GoodFish85

Could it be "Can monarch commit crime the French version"?

Иван Чекушкин

Public sovereignty French edition? Robespierre ramblings on Roman law revival probably? Or may be the origins or contemporary civic nation idea?

Harrison Martin

im not sure. this could equally be centred around france or the HRE. im pretty sure we're in the 1700s. french revolution?

Robert Jarman

Let´s see, Netherlands and Switzerland not part of the HRE; Sweden doesn´t have Pomeranian territories so this is after the Great Northern War, HRE exists, the Republic of Venice exists, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth exists looks like it had the first partition but not the second, you coloured in the British Isles in the same colour with no internal borders which is odd given that Ireland was legally a separate kingdom at the time and would only dissolve after Venice was, Venice has their outposts on the east coast of the Mediterranean, and Avignon is independent of France too. I wonder what this could be about.

ijw

Supposedly the other option was "country MCcountryface", but they thought HRE rolled off the tongue better, so they went with that one.

Russell Watters

ahhh side stepping Rome and Alexander are we? stoked to see what this is about!! Looks like foundation of the Holy Roman Empire as others said

MrDarkandSerious

From the map I guess you gonna talk about the French revolution, right?

Coby Tang

Seriously??? Poland is not even partitioned yet, and the Ottoman Empire still has the Balkans.

Gordian III

No Poland hasnt been partitioned yet

James Baker

The map is a red herring. It's about the Polynesian expansion in the Pacific. 🐱

Ty

PUMP THE MAPS INTO MY VEINS

Adam H

My first thought was Seven Years' War, but this is after the first partition of Poland... Excited to see what it's about! Probably the French Revolution since that does just barely start before the second partition.

Y.R. Music

I smell a prequel to Epic History TV's Napoleon series

Erik Hare

So you're going to be explaining the entire internal workings of the Holy Roman Empire. I will make a lot of popcorn.

Michael Rück

Let me guess: You got tired of the whole "boats theme" before the grand finale.

Joseph Keenan

Denmark Norway combined with a modern looking Prussia = napoleonic or Frederick the great era Corsica is French so this is post 1768. This is pre second polish partition, so before 1792

xxx

So excited!!!!

LiterallyJudas

Forget Augustus, the Roman Empire just got Holy.

A Davis

H.R.E pog!!!

Xanadu-King

Okay, so the HRE at the last stage of its life just before Napoleon invaded and officially dismantled the organization and created a number of Germanic Federations to act as his puppet states in Europe. Nice.
