Tho I really appreciate exclusive content, I mainly want to support you in what you're doing. You are by far one of the best tutorial makers on YouTube in the development section and the quality of what you are delivering is just great. Anyways besides from that I really like the insights we get on the development of Hazel-dev. I would wish for a little more of that and maybe some kind of a roadmap on what's planned until the end of the year both on hazel and hazel-dev. I know this would be kinda hard but also very neat to see where all of this is heading 😁

Found that it is possible to have PlayCanvas through flutter_webview_plugin as exclusive screen hopefully Hazel can be used in similar way. Right now i am still building game engine 'flat' with Login etc currently doing the socket io transform to get multiplayer working just resolved need to transform code. Then need to 'mature' everything will take some time (like 3xfirst prediction it seems)

I’m happy just to support you, but I’d possibly like to see a road map of the C++ series, or at least some commitment to a certain regularity / frequency of the posts. To make sure: They are truly great - and more are wanted!

Kuchlong kuchlong

i like both access to source code repo and Exclusive videos/vlogs

You have greatly accelerated my learning of C++ and I really appreciate the clarity and pragmatism you present in those videos. I became a patron to show my appreciation and enable the production of more of the C++ series — the only relevant "reward" for me is seeing that series continue, everything else is gravy!

As I mentioned in the chat last stream, I would rather have the Livestream in both twitch and YouTube. YouTube is become my preferred open learning platform. The number of social media platforms is becoming too fragmented for my organizational taste; I prefer not to have to add new ones if avoidable. That's not me requiring the content to be on YouTube exclusively however. Just that if you can stream on both platform at once, that would be helpful.

Dude! Im just happy to support you because I landed my job in the games industry partly thanks to your awesome C++ videos! Thanks!

Warren Marshall

I'm in it for the tutorials and the C++/game engine info ... rewards are not a motivator for me. Keeping you doing what you're doing is.

Hi. I support you mostly for your open comment and free youtube series' on C++, OpenGL and Engine design. I really liked your recent technical review and comment videos on the proprietary engine and the PS5. I do not really use any of the rewards, but think maybe git access to work in progress is the most intriguing and a motivator for me to start using patreon. It also does not take away from the free parts on youtube and gives some an opportunity to help you with material before release. People are usually invested in their investments =) . Something that might be interesting is failed endeavors, the plan beforehand, the reason it didn't work out and how to change the plan to make it work. Thank you for both the great learning material and the casual tech reviews!

You are a wealth of information. I only keep a reference book to collect dust. I can just go back and watch one of your videos to fully understand concepts and features of C++. You really do "demystify" the language better than anyone else.

diff_arch

The support and feedback that is provided on Discord is the greatest thing ever! Fast and reliable information, there's probably no faster way to learn.

Just keep doing what you're doing. It's really informative, solid, and engaging content. Your youtube channel has become my default C++ reference for concise, and clear explanations without anything superfluous or obtuse. Which in turn helps to make learning C++ easy. Thanks for your efforts.

I'm here mostly for Hazel-dev access. I've had a plan of making a DCC app for a while and having access to the Hazel's source code is an amazing resource for that

Mattia Benedetti

I love your videos and I have the same passion of yours: making game-engines. I've become a patreon supported cause the Hazel-Public-Series its a bit slow for me, so I tryed to speed up my learning process peeking on your Hazel-Dev. Not always I fully understand what you made on Dev-Branch so I'd love some videos where you briefly show the various technics you used. Some sort of "Advance-Game-Engine-serie" where you dont have to explain every single line of code but you focus more on the designing aspect.

As an industry worker, I used your videos to help augment my knowledge and feel that kind of training should be financially supported. Access to the repo changed my project from "follow along" to "keys to the kingdom" and shifted my personal goals drastically (how do I merge it all, what do I keep, what do I skip, etc.) Then I started cruching and realized that I just wanted you to be financially safe and happy. Remote work has drastically changed my perspective on financial security and cost of living. Cheers!

I like the video tutorials because they make great reference materials, and then Havel-dev because there are just a few things that are done there I can't find good examples of anywhere else! :) ... and of course enjoy the entertainment aspect for programmer geeks!

Nikita

Personally, I'm happy even if there're no benefits for me as a patreon. I just want to support you because there're not that many quality programming videos on youtube. As for me, hazel-dev code is great, but it's not the best way for people to "read" your code. It should be more or less like university system. You give a roadmap, then you talk about each topic (why this particular part is needed, maybe basic abstract implementation), so we can google it, read, understand better and implement it ourselves without copy&paste technology from hazel-dev. However, this is going to take a lot of time from you.

Need a much simplier way/method to get the code for level 3 members. The reason is, that once we have it , its a big codebase and we will much more incline to listen to all your videos and private live feed to try to catch up! If not people get discouraged or pretend everything is ok not to look bad.

mankavar

give me source code link

paul

I'm $4.50 Aust per month. Is that good enough to get the code?
