SATURDAY COFFEE LETTERS: MARCH 21ST (#3) (Patreon)
Content
Dear Patreons, this week has been a good one!
This week felt full in the best kind of way—family time, a few emotional moments, and a lot of reflection.
One of my favorite parts of the week was taking Oliver and Isaac to the park. We ended up running through the forest, just exploring and playing together, and it turned into one of those simple moments that you wish you could bottle up and keep forever. At one point we found a forgotten soccer ball and ended up playing a little game, which somehow turned into making a few new park friends. It was such a wholesome, unexpected moment.
Later in the week, on Wednesday, Kyle had his procedure. Those days are always a bit heavy for us as a family—there’s a lot of waiting, hoping, and just holding your breath until we hear back from the doctor. It’s never easy, but we got through it together, and I’m really grateful for that.
We also had a really fun outing to the butterfly gardens in Victoria, BC. The boys absolutely loved it—getting to see all the butterflies, bugs, and animals up close. Watching their excitement and curiosity made it such a special experience, and honestly, it was just as magical for me too.
When we got home, we were greeted with such a beautiful surprise—a bouquet of flowers from Swifties. That was such a thoughtful and kind gesture, and it really meant a lot. So truly, thank you.
On the work side of things, I wanted to share something a little more real. As many of you know, I work a 9–5 outside of the channel, and I recently interviewed with my regional manager for a potential promotion into management. While the interview itself went well, I wasn’t accepted into the training program. I’d be lying if I said it didn’t sting—this is something I’ve been working toward for a long time.
But at the same time, it gave me some clarity. The disappointment doesn’t compare to moments like when we thought we lost the channel and everything we’ve built together as Cronicans. That feeling reminded me where my heart really is. So I’m choosing to see this as a sign that maybe my path isn’t meant to be in the corporate world—but right here, creating and building this community with all of you.
Content-wise, it’s been a very reaction-heavy week! Between the Taylor Swift Eras Tour content, preparing for releases, diving into “Arirang” with BTS, and new music from our metal family with Tarja, it’s been busy in the best way. We’ve also been putting a lot of focus into our members and finding better ways to celebrate and connect with all of you—because you really are the heart of everything we do.
This week, more than anything, felt like it was about family—both at home and here with all of you. And I just want to say thank you. Truly. For your support, your kindness, and for being part of this journey with us.
Before I go, I’d love to hear from you: What’s one moment from your week—big or small—that made you smile?
Until next Saturday,
☕
