Hey! Here's another Game Tech Video! This series is getting kinda long in the tooth and keeps hammering the same bad jokes! But... this episode is worth keeping. Skip to the end! There's an interesting behind-the-scene segment on the creation of some Namco Famicom TV commercials. I mean, this video tape is basically a commercial, and here we are seeing how commercials are made?! So meta. Anyway.

GTV: Game Tech Video Vol. 12 [Jan. 1989] VHS Rip

As GTV nears the end of its run, you definitely get the sense that the show is running out of steam. They keep going back to the well with their questionable characters India Man and Rumi, and keep hammering on baseball games. However! This episode does redeem itself in the end with a very cool segment on the creation of a Famicom commercial—the kind of making-of for gaming ephemera that you almost never see. 0:24 Intro/Sophie's Pun Corner 2:04 Challenge the Gamer: Home Run All-Nighter [India Man] 4:42 Challenge the Gamer: Pachio-Kun [Rumi] 7:14 Challenge the Gamer: Mega Man 2 [Mister X] 13:45 Challenge the Gamer: Gradius II [Assistant Director Ohori] 20:43 Famikonto 22:20 Super Mario Bros. 3 commercial 22:50 Dragon Quest Fantasia Video 23:20 New Age Sony DoDeCaHORN CD commercial 23:50 Sophie Interlude 24:01 New Release Hour - ACTION 24:07 Ganbare Goemon 2 27:47 River City Ransom 30:49 Shockman - SPORTS 31:11 Moto Roader - ROLE PLAYING 31:38 Final Fantasy II 33:56 Wizardry II - SHOOTING 36:58 After Burner II 38:24 Halley Wars 38:55 Operation Wolf 40:08 Dragon Spirit 41:09 GTV News 41:14 Namco CM Report 43:16 Sophie Outro & Secret Tips
