GOT S7E01 is out! Working on the Explained video now.

There was a short-lived off-the-cuff livestream over on Alt Schwift X, which sadly got taken down by HBO. But I'm not expecting any issues with the Alt Shift X video or Patron-only livestream – the plan remains to stream at 9PM ET Monday. The Explained vid itself will be done in the next ~2-3 days. Will keep you posted!

Don't know if I'll get to join t'row but if not, my favourite bits of the episode were Hound = Gravedigger and Arya's 'Winter has come to House Frey' comment. I remember someone speculating ages ago that Winter is Coming wasn't just a statement of the inevitable future - it was a battle cry. Silliest bit was the idea that Stannis would have left Dragonstone entirely unguarded - even the front door unlocked! Ffs...even though it made for a nice scene, I wish they wouldn't do this stuff.

Will the recaps be available on YouTube? Streaming hours don't work for me b/c I'm based in Europe.

Rikke Holmberg

Aww man, so sad I missed the Schwifty stream. I'll admit that I look forward to your videos more than the actual episode.

Will the Patreon-only livestream be watchable (VOD) after the stream itself, if some Patreons can't make it to 9PM ET?

Are we going to need a direct link to this patron only stream? If so, about what time will it get posted up? Can't wait to hear you talk about the episode after the stream last night got cut short.

My biggest question was about Dragonstone! Not ALL of Stannis's men are dead, so there should have been someone there, right? Or, surely the castle would have been passed to someone else?? Other than that, fantastic episode! Admittedly, my favorite part was (fangirling a little over here) Ed Sheeran. Also loved the opening Frey scene, Sam's savage gross montage, the Brienne/Tormund moment, and Jon and Sansa--that was really well-done tension!

2026-09-17 12:00 Look at the book that Sam was reading. When he turned the page to Dragonstone the opposite page describes the use of dragonglass as a cure for illness and certain disease. It is not specific notation referencing grey scale but it certainly would be my guess for a the most likely cure for Jorah. Read and see what you think? Also the hilt of Cat's Paw dagger is made of dragonglass and is specifically mentioned in the same paragraph with Aegon the Conqueror. Maybe his dagger?

I was really enjoying that stream too! There were some good questions left on the reddit thread along with some discussions. Looking forward to the stream and the Patreon videos!

It's crazy how much is discovered in a few amount of hours after the episode. These are great details.

Alt Shift X

Yes, the stream will be available later for Patrons (:

Alt Shift X

Yeah I'll post a link in advance of the stream

My understanding is that Stannis pretty much took his entire army North to defend the Wall (and later attempt to retake Winterfell). And with Stannis' entire Baratheon branch extinguished, Dragonstone probably reverted to the royal Baratheons.... of which Tommen was the last (theorically, if not by blood). Cersei taking the Throne, she could have considered Dragontone hers (realistically, who else is laying claim to it, you know?), but for some reason did not (or could not?) station Lannisters to defend it.... however, Cersei's wannabe-husband Euron will probably attack Dragonstone (or attack Dany's fleet when she leaves Dragonstone), which may have been what Cersei was counting on.

That makes a lot of sense. I'm still surprised Cersei wouldn't jump at the opportunity to put someone in that castle. But, it IS a little ridiculous that no one was there. There should have been at least a minor skirmish or something. For Dany to land in Dragonstone just like that is a little lame

I am quite sure you spotted this, because you are way more astute than me, but I found the editing between the march of the wights and Bran arriving at the wall very interesting. This is the last shot of the wights http://i.imgur.com/vxtEFXf.png and it switches to this shot of Bran at the wall http://i.imgur.com/NubpDw0.png You talked about Bran going Hodor on the wights before in your series, could this be another hint of that possibly happening?

Love you. Proud to support yoi. Nowif it is difficult for you to save feminism, imagine what it is like for women, with the rape threats, death threats, etc. If allies stand up, this is how we fight back. No judgement, I totally understand, and some days often say f it it isn't worth it, but if we hang together, this is how progress is made. Just a thought, because unlike many channels, one reason I am happy to support you, I have NEVER felt uncomfortable videos, and often really happy by your approach, even non-explicity how you handle some topics. I won't even watch some youtubers, ones with really good thoughts, because every videos something is said that makes me a little sick. And when I say so, i get as many women agreeing with me, more than the haters. And female YouTubers being really messed with. BY OTHER YTers. But like I said, I understand not being worth it many days, and you don't need to alienate viewers. Don't the broflakes suck? Hoping withing this community there is at least *less* hate.

Thanks Persephone. I try to do things right.

The next frontier: unapologetic feminism popularity and money be damned. The women remember. By all accounts 😂
