Nooooo they’re chaining Tessarion 😭😭😭 um, has a dragon ever eaten anyone on Game of Thrones before?? Damn! There’s probably some metaphor in there that links with Ormund’s depravity, that Alicent thinks Daeron was better off with the Hightowers but it’s HIS dragon eating humans when even Aegon’s dragon didn’t. I’m so happy that I have loved every episode so far! Daeron new fav character. I eat up every Aegon/Larys scene! (Even the fast cut away as soon as Aegon’s lips touch his foot, so good.) I love everything going on with Rhaenyra’s small council. Jane Arryn amazing. Yay Rhaenyra being active instead of passive! Daemon and Rhaena incredible! Every scene is so satisfying. 😁😁

I haven’t enjoyed an episode so much since season 4 GoT. The writing and acting were wonderful, the interactions as well. I have no idea where it’s going and whether it’ll work in the end, but I’m fully invested. Bring it on!

The scene where Ormund stands up from the bath and shows the Footleys his goods as a power play reminds me of the scene in GoT where Dany does the same to whatever guy is playing Daario at that point… maybe they’re making a reference to that? Probably not tho lol

Loving the season so far but I’m a bit underwhelmed by Larys. Feels almost like a completely different character to his season 1 self. Like he went from this possibly magical weirdo to playing the ‘straight man’. Maybe it’s because of his more unique circumstances but I’m hoping we can see more from him.

My girlfriend had a thought about Ormunds “sensitivity to smells”. What if they’re basically uppers of some sort? Some kind of drug addiction situation. That would explain his outbursts of emotion, and also the scene of him putting together his scent ball looked a lot like a crack set up

Alicent telling Rhaenyra about Ormund’s sensitivity to smell was such a huge moment. We know that Alicent will genuinely help even when she doesn’t have her back against the wall. She’s dedicated to Rhaenyra’s success even after she’s taken kings landing.

It’s about a German army deserter who discovers a Nazi uniform in the last few days of the war. It’s about how much power a symbol like that has in a time of uncertainty and what it does to his soul.

Tessy so pretty, weird lil eyes I feel like Sunfyre has more of a "something lingers" thing going on. Like it'll definitely be a resurrection of sorts, same way Aegon will be resurrected. Not dead but still coming back different, changed. I'm excited to see where they go with it! Also in defense of Larys he definitely has more money than just that pouch. When someone's trying to get all they can out of you you don't go "oh yeah no prob buddy here ya go! oh you want the whole thing yeah that's cool go for it :)" you go "oh nooo, not my money pouch, that's where I keep all my money :(" He's got a bigger money pouch in his boot for sure. Otherwise how is he going to pay for space on a ship? I do want to see more creepy scheming Larys tho And the "I may not know my characters" bit sounded an awful lot like "well I may not know my flowers, but I know a b when I see one!" from the gay deceivers. 0 chance it was a reference to that since nobody's seen that movie but man the delivery was spot on

It's weird that Daemon says "there will be bedlam", because that saying comes from bedlam hospital in London - a mental asylum during the Tudor dynasty. The phrase plays on the fact that this hospital was known to be confused and chaotic. I presume Tudor London doesn't exist in ASOIAF, but I might be wrong.

I think a key point of ormund’s plan was the assumption she would execute the fake Daeron right away — the fake daeron says he was supposed to not speak “even if she burns me with dragon fire” and once fake daeron is dead he can sit on real daeron until ready to reveal him
