I think the point of Alicent saying she saw Daeron 5 years ago was to point out that she knows what he looks like. If the last time she had seen him was when he was sent to ward, she probably would not have been able to tell it was the fake Daeron immediately.

SPOILERS I like the idea of Alicent poisoning Aegon in the end. I know that’s her son but when she finds out that he killed Rhaenyra, she could end Aegon and put the line of succession firmly back with Rhaenyras sons. Maybe she does it to protect the remaining sons of Rhaenyra. Maybe she does it as a final “I’m Sorry”. There’s something tragic and beautiful about that idea.

I think Helaena saying “This isn’t the season” is a direct response to when Larys was in the red keep courtyard talking to alicent and telling her the flowers weren’t in season

Redhead kid HAS to be Daeron because he was, notably, hidden away somewhere in the opening scene, unlike Ep.1 where he was at Ormund’s side. If he weren’t, he’d likely still be at his side or standing back a bit by the front line opening, but in view of Ormund.

They should be embarrassed of Season 1 Episode 9. Rhaenys was an awful character that the show is better without. The fact that she murdered hundreds for nothing and the show has never addressed it is embarrassing
