Crocodiles can be saltwater or freshwater where as aligators can only be fresh water. crocodiles also have a pointer longer snout . than the short-rounded snout of an alligator. they also can ...generally... grow larger. a big alligator is like 12 ft a big Croc is like 18. google says this weird thing about a max size but i have seen an 18ft alligator with my own eyes and Gustave the crocodile prove that wrong

Generally speaking a Crocodile has a long and narrow snout and an Alligator's snout is short and wide.

It does make a lot of sense for something like the Minks tribes to not judge based on appearance because of how wildly diverse theirs is. I think the only reason the Fishmen aren't like that as well is because of the extreme discrimination they suffered.

I feel like one of the greatest aspects of one piece is how unlikable or lack of interest a character may have at first but as the story grows you grow to like them somewhat or at least dislike them less. Prey: Mainly fish Alligators are water and land hunters, They have chunkier snouts, in order to grab land prey easier. their legs are more down facing than crocodiles which allows them to move on the ground much easier and catch their prey: land animals

One of the main differences between crocodiles and alligators (apart from all the others already mentioned in the comments) is that croc teeth slot between each other while all the teeth in an alligator's lower jaw have corresponding sockets in the upper jaw So if the animal has its mouth closed and you can see its bottom teeth you've got a croc on your hands
