The Pale King

YES! the rat queen reaction to the trash anime :)

Kazukima

This name is weird even by anime standards.

butterd toast2

lessssgoooooo unexpected but lesssssgoooooo

Clockwork Rin

Oh, I've red original manga. It's pretty good, love the vibe

Alice Faust

Title roughly translates to "legit trash," IDK how it could possibly be localized in a way that didn't sound really really stupid so I'm glad they kept the Japanese name.

Spicy Noodles

MY CRASH OUT KING IS FINALLY HERE!!!!!

WillGlacier

So fun fact, Gachiakuta's author's name is Kei Urana and she was the former assistant for Atsushi Ohkubo who is the author of Soul Eater and Fire Force AND apparently she is his successor! According to him in an interview, he stated she had surpassed him

Nym

THIS IS ABSOLUTE FUCKING PEAK ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WillGlacier

nah I love the translated name. It fits with the theme of the manga lmao. Or we could have gone the solo leveling route and called it "I alone recycle trash"

WillGlacier

Legit the only time you can call an anime trash without it being insulting too lmao

Charlie baker

The manga is so peak, the artist for it kei urana actually do the art for one of mori calliopes models and album art

Kapitány Zoltán

I just found this anime this morning, and watched it before work... It's a nice surprise to see you reacting to it already :D I know nothing about the manga, but based on this first episode this will be a fun watch.

Icy

I would love to see her check out Fire Force

WillGlacier

eh tbh I would like it if they actually remade soul eater same way they remade fullmetal alchemist to actually have the same story as the manga, then I'd love for her to watch it. The anime's ending always felt "meh" to me, especially after I read the manga to see the differences (it's obviously still really fucking good I just though the ending was better)

Wil DeYoung

First episode is really giving Deadman Wonderland. I'm excited to see where this goes.

OscarGrump

Ayo!? I was not expecting this at all! A nice surprise, a 10 day early birthday surprise!

Crimson Gold

This is one of the first anime's i'm watching completely blind, all i know about this is i can call it trash & be factually correct because the title translates to "Legit Trash".

DocteurNS

My "hum, actually" brain is trying to wonder how these people keep finding the raw materials to fuel their rampant consumerism machine if they live in some kind of island in the sky... But I'm trying to tell it that the setting and themes matter more than the logistics of it. Pretty awesome first episode.

ComradeRaccVT

I LOVED THIS MANGA I cannot wait for next episode

Icy

just checked and wow that's a lot for just the 1st chapter

BakaSama

This was not a show on my radar, but after watching the first episode I’m very curious to see where it goes. The art style in particular has my attention. It reminds me of Soul Eater and Fire Force, which I love.

Shadowangel09

No one gonna talk about the giant monster it showed when he fell??

Gildarts1#fan

This art style reminds me so much of soul eater and fire force.

Adam

that's literally a hook for the next ep. Because it makes you wonder "the fuck was that about."

Lance Ivy

my nibbling starts collage in the fall.....baby ...child ....little bitty baby person.

Memento Forever

w-wait this anime is out? I been buying the manga

NickAsNickName

i thought i heard a geiger counter during the backstory of his hands and the pain in them... are... are they burnt by radiation??

Moonkey

I love the manga for gachiakuta so much. So hyped for this

cyberspacecat

The art style and costume design on this one is peak so far, I've seen some wild stylish panels of the manga so I hope they continue to deliver for the rest of the season

Bastiwen

This anime is so cool looking ! Also, where I live we do have underground trash containers and I know other countries have them too.

DaringDestiny

I think the author used to be an assistant for the soul eater author

PeZdro

This is literally Rio de Janeiro's lore btw
